Are You Growing in Faith and Love?
2 Thessalonians 1:3-4 (NET) We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith flourishes more and more and the love of each one of you all for one another is ever greater. As a result we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions you are enduring. Gregory received Jesus Christ as his Lord because he was surrounded by challenges and coming to Jesus truly brought him relief. But as he studied the Bible, he found out that there were men who died because of their faith in Christ. What is the difference between me and these other persons? He would ask. Wanting to answer this question, he began to study how the Apostles of Christ lived and he soon discovered that they all had something in common: they all endured persecutions. If all you know about God are his gifts and benevolence, you certainly are a child. Every responsible adult has responsibilities, most of which would require some level of endurance. An Adult son of God might willingly go through pain not because he cannot escape, but because he knows that his pain will bring relief, succor, and freedom to other children of God. The way to know that you are growing in faith and love is by measuring how much you are willing and able to give and endure for Christ. It is through men such as this that God’s power is made manifest in its fullness. If you desire God’s power in its undiluted form, you must be willing to endure anything for Christ (see Romans 8:17, 2 Timothy 2:12). Meditate on Mark 10:29-31 as you go about your business today. ‘‘And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s. But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last first. Prayer: I receive grace to grow in faith and love in Jesus’ name, Amen. —Dr. Emmanuel James Bible in One Year: II Corinthians 9-10 Download Sermons Here: www.streamglobe.org/34 Join Our Interactive Online Bible Study Today by 2pm(GMT +1). Topic: Understanding How God Rewards Text: Matthew 25:14-29 INTRODUCTION Varying abilities are given to us by God to do business with (Luke19:13) and it is based on these abilities that we will be judged as faithful or unfaithful. God will require from us according to what He has given us (Luke 12:48). Understanding how God rewards us will help us stay faithful doing what He has committed to us and help us avoid unhealthy competitions (2 Corinthians 10:12). DISCUSSIONS 1) What does the Bible say about working for God? 1Co 15:58, Hebrews 6:10, 2Tim 2:6 2) Discuss the different kinds of rewards in the kingdom? Mark 10:28-30 3) What can we learn from Mark 10:31 regarding how God rewards? 4) Will every work be rewarded? 1 Co 3:8,13-15, 2Tim2:5 5) What kind of work will fail the test of fire? Matthew 6:1-4, 1 Co 13:1-3. Give examples. 6) What should our response to working for God be? Luke 16:10, 1 Co 4:2

Topic: Understanding God’s Grace INTRODUCTION We are saved by grace through faith. Our salvation is because of the grace of God, not because of our works. Today, this topic of grace has been greatly misunderstood and some have swung to different extremes. This is not a recent problem but one that has existed from the beginning of the church(See Jude 1:4). While some take the grace of God as a Licence to sin, some have denied the grace of God by trusting in their ability to keep rules and regulations as the reason why they are saved. This study would help us further look at the important topic of grace so that we can walk in multiplied grace(2 Peter 1:2). DISCUSSIONS 1 Define grace 2 Explain Romans 5:20. 3 Was there grace in the old Testament? Genesis 6:8, Genesis 19:19, Exodus 33:13, Psalm 84:11, Proverbs 3:34 4 What is the difference(if there is) between Grace in the new Covenant and grace in the old? Divine Access Protocols
1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (NKJV) But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God–and righteousness and sanctification and redemption– that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” Before Ogundare became a believer, he had gone very far in the occult and was exposed to the depths of darkness. He had a business competition with a believer and decided to take the battle to the spirit realm so that he would have the upper hand. This was when he discovered that God was eternity’s Holy King, and Christians are indeed God’s children that He watches jealously. What made Ogundare become a believer was his realization that Christians had access to a relationship with this God. Because he understood spiritual things and spiritual protocols, he wondered how it was possible for ordinary mortal human beings to have a relationship with such a Holy and great God. Even great spirits could not attain to this standard. He understood that relationship with spiritual dignitaries required spiritual wisdom, and he knew that ordinary human beings could never possess the wisdom required to relate to Almighty God. He later discovered that Jesus was made the wisdom of God for us, and it is through Him and because of Him that we have a relationship with God. There are four major requirements for having a relationship with Almighty God, and they are mentioned in today’s Bible verses. They are redemption, sanctification, righteousness, and [spiritual] wisdom. We as sinful mortal beings could never attain these. Christ Jesus has become these for us [who believe in Him], that is why we are able to have a relationship with God. This is the reason why no one who truly knows God can take credit for it. He will always be grateful to Jesus. Go into today thanking the Lord for being the reason you have a relationship with Almighty God. —Abraham Damilola Arigi YBR: II Corinthians 9-10 Join Our Interactive Online Bible Study Today by 2pm(GMT +1). Redeemed From All Curses
Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Sesugh believed very strongly that his family was under the influence of a curse. He saw things that made him begin to believe that he too was now beginning to suffer the effect of this curse. When he discussed this situation with his pastor who he had seen demonstrate the great power of God to heal and deliver in the past, his pastor asked him if he had believed in the Lord Jesus. He said he had. Pastor Dan: Have you been Baptised in the Holy Ghost? Sesugh: I’m not sure sir. Pastor Dan: if you’re not sure, then you’ve not been baptized. If you’ve been baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of tongues, you’ll be sure. If you read Galatians 3:13-14, you will see that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by being made a curse for us. He replaced our curses with the unbeatable blessings of Abraham. But the proof that we have received this is that we receive the gift of the Spirit. After this conversation with his pastor, Sesugh was now eager so to be Baptised in the Holy Spirit and to speak in tongues. Before, he could care less. Curses are in different categories and with different degrees of power. The most powerful curses are ‘the curse of the law’. These are curses declared by God Himself and enforced by the power of heaven because God and His laws were handled with contempt. Even the curses of the law enforced by heaven are removed by the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, how much more weaker curses of demons and principalities? The proof that a believer has been delivered from generational and other curses and has received the blessing of Abraham instead is that he receives the gift of the Holy Spirit by faith(see Galatians 3:14). It is through the Holy Spirit that we appropriate our blessings in Christ and walk above the power of curses. Go into today remembering to celebrate the Holy Ghost within you and pray in the Holy Ghost daily. Praying in the spirit is a sure way to appropriate your daily dose of the blessing. Remember that all things of the Spirit are received and appropriated by faith, so quit believing that you are under any curse and start believing that you have the blessing of Abraham. Prayer Confession: Because Christ was made a curse for me on the cross, I cannot be under any curse. I walk in the blessings of Abraham, I walk daily in the Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen. -Abraham Damilola Arigi Bible In One Year: Luke 1-2 Join Our Interactive Online Bible Study Today by 2pm(GMT +1). ZOOM Meeting ID: 536206651 Streamglobe is Nondenominational. In Whom Do You Trust?
Psalms 91:2 (NKJV) …My God, in Him I will trust.” After Lekan graduated from the University, it took him some time to get a good job. His uncle was the managing director of a big company, and he expected that his uncle would naturally help him secure a good job. But it just didn’t happen. After waiting and waiting for his uncle, he decided to turn to God and pray. This was when he realized that concerning getting a good job, his trust was never really in the Lord, but in his uncle. (See Jer 17:5, Psa 146:3). Whoever you put your trust in and depend on is the one who is your God. The reason why the Lord warns us against serving Mammon (even more than He warns us against serving the devil) is because it is very easy for a person to trust in his money and lean on the strength of mammon. Rich people fall into this trap more than the poor because they, more than other people, know the power of money. That is why the Lord particularly warns His children who are rich in this world not to put their trust in money (see 1 Tim 6:17). The way to trust in God is to acknowledge that all good things come from Him and He uses anyone and anything to help you. This means you now see people and systems as only channels that God uses and never as your source of help. You understand that God is your help, with or without them. Go into today remembering that it is better to trust in the Lord than in any other. People fail, money fails, but they that trust in the Lord will not be moved (see Psalm 125:1). Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you trust Him with all your heart always. -Abraham Damilola Arigi Bible In One Year: Jeremiah 32-36 Join Our Interactive Online Bible Study Today by 2pm(GMT +1). Christ Dwells In You By Faith

Ephesians 3:17 (KJV) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love… After Aarav accepted the Lord Jesus, because he lived in a neighborhood where idol worship was predominant, he felt greatly suffocated spiritually. One of the Hindu priests in his family knew through divination that Aarav was now born again. He appeared to Aarav in his dream and threatened that he would have no peace until he comes back to Hinduism to continue the family legacy of the priesthood. Aarav thought it was merely a dream until he met this priest physically in a family function and he did not answer Aarav’s greeting but responded to him by saying “as I said the other day, you would not have peace if you don’t renounce that perverted faith and come back to our family tradition”. Aarav became really afraid, and from that day, he started having nightmares of snakes and crocodiles trying to eat him. He was so troubled that he started losing weight terribly. It was his weight loss that his pastor saw and observed that something was wrong. When Aarav told his pastor what was going on, his pastor smiled and told him that he was suffering because he did not realize that Christ was now dwelling in him. As soon as Aarav understood and accepted the truth that Christ was dwelling in him, those evil dreams ceased. He was no longer afraid and even his tone of prayer changed from that of weakness to that of authority. We can see from today’s scripture that christ dwells in us by faith. If you do not know and believe that Christ dwells in you and act according to that knowledge, even though you are a believer, your life would be as if Christ does not dwell in you. The reality of Christ’s presence in the heart of a believer is activated by the faith of that believer. Go into today remembering that Christ dwells in you if you believe in Him. Let this truth guide your life and choices. This is how to live a victorious life. Prayer Confession: Christ dwells in me. I am an overcomer. Praying Through
1 Corinthians 14:15 (KJV) What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Prior to praying in the Spirit, Daniel would pray only in his understanding. Most times he prayed he would find himself drifting in thought while praying. This situation continued until one day he attended an impartation service and got baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. This spiritual transformation changed his prayer life and made him now able to pray without losing focus, understand and apply the right scriptures in his prayers, and obtain tremendous answers to his prayers (including for things he couldn’t remember asking for). Praying through can be simply put as effective communication with God. However, due to the inherent infirmity of the flesh and the human mind, there’s always that tendency for it to be burdened, afflicted, or distracted by either men or the devil, leading to voided prayers. God primarily communicates with us by the spirit and not by the flesh. Since our mind’s ability to grasp the things of the Spirit is limited, the best way for us to pray through and obtain results is for us to pray in the Spirit (1Cor 2:10-15, 14:2). Among other things, praying in tongues helps us present our case before God perfectly. It helps us shield our prayers from demonic obstacles and allows us wider coverage without praying amiss (Rom 8:26-27, 1Cor 14:2, Eph 6:18). Doing this consistently enables us to develop our faith to the point where our minds now begin to see the reality of answers (Jud 1:20). Determine today to pray in tongues. As you do so, the power of God’s anointing will cause you to receive answers to your prayers, based on His promises (2Cor 1:20-22). —Chibo E.C. Overcoming Your Fears 2
Psalms 34:4-5 (NET) I sought the Lord’s help and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help are happy; their faces are not ashamed. After Funbi’s fiance met her parents, they fixed a wedding date and everyone in her family was happy for Funbi because she was now over 35. After some weeks, Funbi realized that the old fear of failure started lurking in her heart again. She went to the Lord in prayer concerning it as she did with her previous fears, but this time, the fear didn’t seem to go away. She just had this feeling that her wedding wasn’t going to hold. When Funbi discussed this fear with her discipler, she educated Funbi that seeking the Lord could also involve fasting because fasting helps to humble us and cause the grace of God toward us to be multiplied. Funbi decided to go on a fast the following Saturday. She put off her phone and shut off all engagements for the day. She spent the whole day behind closed doors, reading a faith-building book, praying in the spirit, and praising God for giving her victory over those her fears. After doing this, she realized that the fear in her heart faded away. She went on to have a very successful wedding according to schedule. Somehow she knew that if she did not conquer that fear, it would have materialized and her wedding would not have held. She knew this because that was her experience with such fears in the past, they always materialized. Turning aside to seek the Lord in prayer and fasting is usually more effective when certain fears have refused to leave your heart even after you have prayed about it normally. The problem is that when many believers fast, they do not focus on God and ensure that their hearts are rid of all fear and anxiety, they rather focus on demons and their enemies. But the biggest battleground is in the mind. Through the word of God and prayers, we are to bring into captivity every thought and imagination that is contrary to the revealed will of God (see 2 Corinthians 10:5). Go into today remembering that fear and anxiety allowed to linger in the heart of a believer is a precursor to defeat. Prayer: Lord, help me seek you until my fears and anxieties fade away. Help me walk perpetually in the victory of faith, In Jesus’ name. Amen. -Pst Abraham Damilola Arigi Not yet saved? Under The Shadow of The Almighty
Psalms 91:1 (NKJV) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. When the Agada’s moved to their new house, some of their friends in the neighborhood were afraid for them because the next plot to their house belonged to a very powerful and feared native doctor (sorcerer). The native doctor had bragged that no one could build on that plot or dare live that close to him. Mr. Agada bought the plot of land ridiculously cheap because all the previous owners felt threatened by the native doctor. But he bought and developed the land because the Holy Spirit led him to do so. Two weeks after moving to his new house, Mr. Agada noticed that his native doctor neighbor was nowhere to be found– he had moved. It happened that the native doctor could no longer stand the ‘shadow of the Almighty’. You need to realize that when you are in Christ, you dwell in the secret place of the Most High and dwell under the shadow of the Almighty. This is a fortress that is impenetrable. Those who dwell under the shadow of the Almighty cannot be threatened by anyone. They are the ones whose presence threatens the evil ones because the Almighty hovers over them jealously. Many believers do not walk in this reality because they do not walk in the faith that activates it. Go into today knowing that because you are in Christ, you dwell in the secret place of the Most High and are under the shadow of the almighty. You have robust spiritual and physical protection there. Prayer Confession: I dwell in the secret place of the most high. I abide under the shadow of the almighty. There is protection, peace and prosperity for me.
