Stand Therefore

The Audio Version link is at the end of this messageEphesians 6:14 (KJV) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness. The pilgrim’s journey towards the Celestial City is not an easy one. Our Lord made it very clear that the road on which we will make this journey is indeed very narrow and difficult. (Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able”). However difficult the road may be, the pilgrim’s strength comes from the assurance of the Lord Himself, “…lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” Matt. 28:20. So, dear pilgrim, let your encouragement and strength come from the promise of our Lord. Many pilgrims however, can identify with the words of prophet Micah in their experience. (Micah 7:8) “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.” Dear Christian, do you find yourself falling into sin frequently? Do you feel the powers of hell and darkness are winning the battle over your life? Do you wish you could pray some more or study the word some more? Do you wish you could have a more consistent walk with God? Here is a word from the Lord for you today: stand therefore! You can’t wish victories into reality, you must stand. Rise up from the dark place of sin and stand in righteousness. Rise up from the place of laziness and complacency and stand in the place of prayer. The Lord Himself will be your light. Don’t just wish for these things, rise up, take your stand and do them. Prayer: Dear Lord, grant me the strength to stand today, amen.—Otuokon, Ubokudom Join our chat group to start getting Streamglobe Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 Bible In 1 Year: Ecclesiastes 7-8 (In today’s audio) Streamglobe is nondenominational. Spiritual Growth

Psalm 19:8 (KJV) The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes When Monday first believed, he saw the precepts of the Lord to be unbearable and difficult. He actually thought some of them were simply unfair. These were some of his thoughts: ‘why should I love my enemy?’ ‘It is not fair to turn the other cheek…’it doesn’t seem right to deny my feelings of passion…’ Etc. As Monday grew spiritually, he started to see that the precepts of the Lord are for his own good. He started to understand the wisdom in doing things God’s way. He started seeing things from God’s perspective and no more from the perspective of the flesh. The Christian walk was no more a burden, but now a joyful adventure. He now understood why the Lord said ‘my yoke is easy, and my burden is light’ (see Matt 11:30). As a Christian grows spiritually, he is transformed from being a carnal man to being a spiritual man. The walk of faith is a great burden to the carnal man, but it is great joy to the spiritual man. God’s will is that we will grow to the fullness of Christ and no more be dominated by the flesh but by the spirit. This doesn’t mean the flesh may not try to rear its ugly head every now and then, but it means we do not let the flesh control us but the spirit. Go into today remembering that spiritual growth does not happen by chance or merely with time, it happens as a result of a deliberate craving for the sincere milk of God’s word (see 1 Pet 2:2). Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to feed on your [sincere] word and grow spiritually.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our chat group to start getting Streamglobe Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 Bible In 1 Year: Psalms 131-133 (In today’s audio) Streamglobe is nondenominational. You are the light of the world

Matthew 5:14 (NET) You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden. After Kole had been in his new office for two years, he had a speckles record of integrity. It wasn’t that he was never tempted to collect bribes like his predecessors, but he knew how to overcome imminent temptations in the place of prayer. His MD invited him to his office. A conversation between them ensued: MD: Mr. Kole, please come and sit down. I am so happy to see you. Kole: Thank you, sir. MD: I called you because I have been monitoring your office for the past two years. Mr. Paschal, who was there before you was very corrupt, he was removed because he gave this office a bad name. When Mrs. Umar suggested that we put you in that office, I didn’t agree with her. But she said she had worked with you and seen that you are a man of integrity. Now I see what she saw. As everyone knows, my tenure as MD here will soon end, and I am recommending somebody for this Job. I would normally have recommended someone from my part of the country, but you have impressed me and I am recommending you as the next MD. Kole was speechless. He was not even the tenth in line for the huge promotion. He remembered just three months ago when he was offered a seven digit bribe to manipulate some figures, but he didn’t. He prayed till the temptation lost its power. He later discovered that if he had taken the bribe the MD would have found out. As you go into today, remember that the world has higher expectations from you because you are a Christian. Ask the Lord to help you walk worthy of your calling and shine your light in this dark world. Pride and Iniquity

Proverbs 21:4 (NET) Haughty eyes and a proud heart – the agricultural product of the wicked is sin. Darius was very displeased with the way he was treated by his brother’s wife when he visited them. He felt she did not respect him enough, and he did not get over this offense. But unknown to him, he too was a very proud person at heart. That was why he was so grieved by his sister-in-law. Because of this pride in his heart, anger entered his heart and hatred for his sister-in-law started to grow. It got to the point that he would tell lies against her. When pride is allowed to remain in the heart, sin is being cultivated there. God sees a proud person as a wicked person (see Psalm 10:4). Pride and Iniquity are closely related and God calls them wickedness (see how the word ‘wickedness’ and ‘inequity’ are interchanged in Psalm 47:5 and Heb 1:9). Pride was one of the reasons Lucifer the anointed cherub fell and became Satan–Iniquity was found in him (see Eze 28:15). God’s eyes do not behold iniquity (Habak 1:13). He does not listen to a man who regards iniquity in his heart (see Psalm 66:18). He resists the proud (see James 4:6). It is our responsibility to guard our hearts against pride because it is a spiritual fertilizer that engenders the growth of iniquity in the heart. One way to check for pride is by checking the rate at which you get angry. If you are very easily offended, it might be a sign that pride is in your heart. Go into today remembering that the blood of Jesus is strong enough to wash away every pride and iniquity. Ask the Lord to search you and purge your heart of every pride and iniquity.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our chat group to start getting Streamglobe Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 Bible In 1 Year: Deuteronomy 13-15 (In today’s audio) Streamglobe is nondenominational. Jesus Experienced Death for You

The Audio Version link is at the end of this message Hebrews 2:9 (NET) But we see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God’s grace he would experience death on behalf of everyone. Because Vivian believed that God has withdrawn His grace and protection from her because of her sin, she was very afraid of traveling because she felt she would have an accident and die. Unknown to her, she was now being afflicted by the spirit of guilt and fear, but she thought it was the Holy Spirit that was making her feel the way she felt. When she started having nightmares, she decided to talk to someone about her guilt and misery. She was lucky to talk to someone who had spiritual understanding, and the first thing the person did after hearing Vivian’s story was to hold her hands and rebuke the spirit of guilt and fear that had been tormenting her. She now went on to explain to Vivian that she was already forgiven in Christ, but she needed to receive God’s forgiveness and cleansing by believing God’s word that she has forgiveness in Christ Jesus. Forgiveness of sins and cleansing from unrighteousness is freely available for all. In Christ Jesus, God came and suffered death for everyone so that we will not have to suffer the [spiritual] consequences of our sins. Just like God’s glorious salvation and the Holy Spirit, forgiveness is freely available, but the problem is that people do not receive. The devil works overtime to blind people from knowing this. Go into today remembering that forgiveness of sins and cleansing from unrighteousness is freely available in Christ Jesus when there is true repentance. You do not need to earn it, you only need to receive it freely. —Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our chat group to start getting Streamglobe Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 Bible In 1 Year: Acts 13-14 (In today’s audio) Streamglobe is nondenominational. Stop trying to the the atoning sacrifice

1 John 2:1-2 (NET) (My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous One, and He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world. Vivian did something she had promised the Lord she would never do again. Because of this she was very sad and started to believe that the Lord has not forgiven her. She believed that the Lord had withdrawn his grace and protection, even though she had sincerely repented. But she was very wrong. Like Vivian, many Christians allow depression to deprive them of grace because they refuse to accept the forgiveness of the Lord but continue to think that the Lord is angry with them because of what they did. They do not realize that God knew they would do what they did long before they did it, and He was not surprised that they did, but made arrangements for their atonement. It is OK to feel remorse about a sin. As a matter of fact, the feeling of guilt associated with sin is a sign that you are spiritually alive and healthy. But just like other good things the Lord has created, the devil will try to exploit that feeling and use it to destroy you. The way to deal with sin is to repent and forsake it and move on. Jesus is the one who does all the spiritual work, including the cleansing from guilt and every other evil associated with the sin (see 1 John 1:9). Go into today knowing that Jesus alone is the atoning sacrifice for your sins. Stop trying to atone for your sins by allowing Satan afflict you with guilt and fear. —Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our chat group to start getting Streamglobe Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 Bible In 1 Year: I Peter 4-5 (In today’s audio) Streamglobe is nondenominational. The City of Refuge 2

Joshua 20:2-3 (KJV) Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto you by the hand of Moses: That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may flee thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood. Even after believing in Christ, Justin lived with guilt for a very long time because he thought his sins were too big to be totally forgiven. He confessed and asked for the forgiveness of those sins several times because he felt he had not been forgiven yet. Thank God he met brother Luka who helped him. To completely forget the past may be difficult, however, living without the guilt of the past is possible through Christ Jesus. Guilt is spiritual and you cannot brainwash yourself out of guilt. You cannot fellowship with God (and walk in His grace and power) with a guilty conscience. The blood of Jesus is powerful enough to wash any guilty conscience.Hebrew 10:20 (NLT) says “let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water”. Do not say my sins are too big or too numerous to be forgiven. God forgives all sin. All you have to do is come to God in the name of Jesus out of a sincere heart, confess your sins and forsake them and you will be forgiven (see 1 John 1:9). Go into today remembering that Christ Jesus is our City of Refuge, when we run into him we will be saved from (Satan) the avenger of blood and from judgment.—Dr. Emmanuel James Join our chat group to start getting Streamglobe Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 Bible In 1 Year: Haggai (In today’s audio) Streamglobe is nondenominational. Faithful in Little Things 4

2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. When it was time for Chief Ola to hand over the management of his great company to his children, he didn’t reward them according to their age but according to their wisdom and faithfulness in the assignments he had given them earlier. The ones who were not faithful hoped that they would get something, but the ones who were faithful knew that they were going to get something. The ones who weren’t faithful dreaded the day their father would call them to give account for their management of his business, but the ones who were faithful longed for the day their father would call them to give account. Those who have truly been busy serving the Lord with their lives here on earth know in their spirits that their reward is being stored up for them. They know that they will be rewarded eternally because they have spent their lives serving the Lord faithfully, and they know that the one who they are serving is faithful and just (see Heb 6:10, Rev 22:12). One of the ways to check if you are serving Christ with your life in truth is to check whether or not you long for His appearing. Those who are serving the Lord in truth will long for His appearing because they understand that His appearing will mark the beginning of their indescribable glory and reward. Go into today remembering that God will judge your every action in life. His judgment is because He wants to reward you for your work here on earth.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our chat group to start getting Streamglobe Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 Bible In 1 Year: II Chronicles 33-36 (In today’s audio) Streamglobe is nondenominational.
