Quickened By Christ
Audio Version☞ bit.ly/aud1954 1 Corinthians 15:45 (KJV) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Nneka observed that after she became born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit, her spirit became alive towards God and she could now have a relationship with God. She knew within her that she was a child of God. So when she had dealings with a woman who was reputed to be a powerful witch and the daughter of the most feared witch doctor in her society, she was not afraid of her but knew she had more spiritual authority than her. While the demon-possessed lady intimidated and controlled everyone, she couldn’t even look Nneka in the eyes because she knew Nneka was operating at a higher level. Everyone wondered why Nneka was feared by this ‘fearless’ ruthless woman. We received the soul life through the natural birth, we all received it from Adam. But for we who are born again, we have received our spiritual life from Christ Jesus. He quickened (made alive) our spirits that were dead towards God. If you know the difference between life and death, that’s the difference between the possibilities and opportunities a spirit that is quickened has over one that is still dead towards God. But many believers do not utilize these opportunities. Go into today remembering that because you are now alive towards God, you can have a relationship with God and grow in it. This is the secret of multiplied grace and spiritual power. Prayer: heavenly father, help me utilize the privilege I have as your child. Thank you for hearing me, in Jesus name. Amen. Overcoming Spiritual Barriers
Audio Version☞ bit.ly/aud1953 Ephesians 4:31-32 (KJV) Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. When Tyron was a child, his family moved to a neighborhood where they were the minority race, and because of this, he grew up hearing racial slurs and curse words. Unknown to him, he had developed a lot of bitterness, hatred, and racism in his heart. So much so that his faith in Christ couldn’t affect his politics. As a businessman running his business with the principles of righteousness, it later became clear that he was under a certain kind of spiritual limitation. There seemed to be a bar he could not cross no matter how hard he tried. It took him some quality time of waiting on the Lord to realize that there was bitterness and hatred in his heart towards the majority race in his country. As soon as he repented of this hatred and forgave that race for what their ancestors had done against his race, his doors opened and the bar was removed. He now started walking in the blessing of Abraham. There are many believers today who live lives that are less than God’s ideal for them because there is hidden bitterness and hatred in their hearts. I believe one reason apostle Paul could do more than the other apostles was because he walked above tribal and racial bias. The word of the Lord to someone today is that if you will just let go of tribal/racial bias, you will do exploits in the world for God. Go into today remembering that there is no room for racism and tribalism in the kingdom of God. Forgive just as God in Christ has forgiven you. —Abraham Damilola Arigi want to be saved? This Gospel of the Kingdom 4
Download Audio Version:☞ bit.ly/aud1951 Matthew 5:44 (KJV) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. Before Nneka became a believer in the Lord Jesus, she used to attend prayer vigils, and was a faithful follower of a particular prophet with whom she eventually had an immoral relationship. She attended those prayer vigils because she was aware that she had enemies, especially when her business started to ‘prosper’. Her prayers were always that all her enemies would fall down and die. She would imagine them and insist that they die a painful death. She loved her friends and hated her enemies. But when she became a disciple of the Lord Jesus, she didn’t see the need to kill her human enemies but felt deep pity for them because she understood how elevated above them she was in Christ Jesus. She rather found that time and time again, she was compelled to pray for them, asking the Lord to have mercy on them and bring them to salvation. Because of this, some of them eventually became saved, but some of them who wouldn’t repent saw the severe vengeance judgment of the Lord. The true gospel of the kingdom teaches us to love our enemies and pray for them, not kill them with our prayers. We are to do this not because we are overmuch good but because we know how elevated above them we are in Christ, and we understand that God is a better judge of every matter than us. But today, there is a gospel that teaches believers to hate their enemies and kill them with the power of God at every opportunity. That gospel is not the true gospel of the kingdom, and it is incapable of raising disciples into maturity. If the Lord Jesus had subscribed to that ideology, He would have wiped out the entire human race because of the hatred and ungratefulness culminated in His crucifixion. There never would have been an apostle Paul because rather than pray for them, Stephen would have used his great spiritual power to place a potent bitter curse on all those who hated him to the point of orchestrating his murder, and Paul was chief among them. Go into today examining the doctrines that guide your life and compare them with the truth of God’s Word. Prayer: Ask the Lord to deliver you from everything that may be keeping you from the reality and power of the true gospel of the kingdom. This Gospel of the Kingdom 3
Download Audio Version:☞ bit.ly/aud1950 Matthew 24:14 (NET) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. Because of Nneka’s faith in the Lord Jesus, she could not continue in some unrighteous business deals even though those were the deals that made her the most money. She made this bold decision because she understood that nothing was too big to sacrifice for God’s kingdom. She understood that the kingdom is real and eternally relevant and she didn’t want anything to hinder her from her inheritance in it. The true gospel of the kingdom teaches selflessness and sacrifice. Anyone who has truly accepted it would be willing to forsake certain things in order to follow Jesus fruitfully. But there is a gospel today that purports that there is no need to make any sacrifices and forsake anything because Jesus has already made the needed sacrifice. Even though what they say is true on a particular level, they are absolutely wrong on all other levels. Those who will follow Jesus must be ready to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him (see Luke 9:23). They must be willing to sacrifice fleshly pleasures for kingdom participation and elevation (see Rom 12:1-2, 13:8). The kingdom of God is like a man who finds a great treasure in a field and goes to sell all he has to buy that field (see the Lord’s Parable of the hidden treasure in Matthew 13:44-46). Go into today remembering that anything you forsake for the kingdom is a small temporary investment you are converting into a great eternal investment that would bless you for time and for the whole of eternity. Prayer: Heavenly Father, now that I am born again, help me see your kingdom the way I ought to, and walk in its reality [and power], in Jesus name. Amen. Not yet saved? This Gospel of the Kingdom 2
Download Audio Version:☞ bit.ly/aud1949 Matthew 24:14 (NET) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. When Nneka accepted the Lord Jesus, she was told that she needed to be baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit. She was taught the importance of water baptism and how it was her final burial and disconnection from the world. She died to the old life through faith in Christ but would be buried through baptism(see Romans 6:4). She was also taught that it was the empowerment of the Holy Spirit through His baptism that would make it possible for her to live a life of perpetual victory over sin and the devil(see Acts 1:8, Rom 8:13). These teachings and many others made it impossible for Nneka to continue to be unequally yoked together with her unbeliever friends because she was too conscious of the fact that she was now a new creation in Christ. Nneka received the gospel of the kingdom and the evidence of the exchanged life was there for all to see. The true gospel of the kingdom is powerful enough to turn a sinner into a Saint. But too many these days have received a gospel that is not the true gospel. Today there is a gospel that excludes the teachings about repentance and baptisms and only emphasizes material prosperity. People can attend church for years and never hear that they are to forsake a life of sin and fleshly lusts and walk in the holiness of God. Go into today remembering that any gospel that forgets to teach young believers to forsake fleshly lusts is not the gospel of the kingdom. Any gospel that teaches grace without emphasizing that grace is not a license for sinning but empowerment to walk above sin is another gospel and not the gospel of the kingdom(see Rom 6:1, Tit 2:11). Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you walk in the reality and power of the gospel of the kingdom. Source: Devotional
This Gospel of the Kingdom
Matthew 24:14 (NET) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. There is a version of the gospel being preached today that has excluded the kingdom of God. It is a gospel that only seeks to bring people salvation but does not bring them into the kingdom of God. If you’ve ever heard of pastors who live unrepentantly and unashamedly in immorality, the gospel such a pastor is preaching is not the gospel of the kingdom, because being in the kingdom regulates your life unto the narrow straight path. There are so many things you would not be able to do if you’re living under the government of Christ. It is impossible to have truly believed the gospel of the kingdom and not repent from sin. But there is a gospel that now systematically exclude repentance from sin. That gospel is not the gospel of the kingdom, it is another gospel. The devil knows too well that when the true gospel of kingdom is preached to the ends of the earth, it would be game over for him because the end in this context means the end for the rule of the kingdom of this world(headed by Satan) over this earth and a takeover of the kingdom of God and of His Christ, so the devil is doing everything to ensure that this does not happen. There is gospel being preached everywhere today, but is it the gospel of the of God? Go into today remembering that the most important thing going on in the world today is the advancement of the gospel of the kingdom. Ask the Lord to help you play your part in this. Not yet saved? The Resurrection Body 2
1 Corinthians 15:41-42 (NET) There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon and another glory of the stars, for star differs from star in glory. It is the same with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable. When Jesus ascended into heaven, He ascended with His body because He now had a body that could partake in the things of heaven and the things of earth. That’s the superior kind of body we would have during the resurrection. The kind of glory your resurrection body will have is different from the kind of glory your body has right now. That body cannot die nor grow old. It is a body, but it is spiritual. It would be able to partake in both the spiritual and physical dimensions of the realms. The glorified bodies we are going to receive will radiate the glory of God. It is these bodies that would reveal our real nature as sons of God (Rom 8:23). This body of flesh is limited in its ability to walk in the reality of the divine life. The more yielded and filled with the Holy Spirit we are, the more this body of flesh would be able to walk in a foretaste of the glory to come because the Holy Spirit quickens our mortal bodies. It is only through the help of the indwelling Holy Spirit that you can truly subdue the power of the flesh. Go into today meditating on these verses: 1 John 3:2-3 (NET) Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is. And everyone who has this hope focused on him purifies himself, just as Jesus is pure). Not yet saved? The Resurrection Body
Download Audio Version:☞ http://bit.ly/audio1945 1 Corinthians 15:35 (NET) But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” Someone recently asked me how it would be possible for those whose bodies were eaten and digested by wild animals to resurrect. How about those whose bodies were cremated? I explained to the man that all a brilliant scientist needed to clone an animal would simply be its DNA, and getting the DNA of a body long dead is not even difficult for human scientists. DNA is quite easy to get, it can even be extracted from your saliva or even feces. If a human scientist needed just DNA to clone a body, how much more God the master scientist. If anything of the old was needed, all that would be needed to use to resurrect you would simply be your DNA. I don’t have any doubt in my heart that God can resurrect us on the last day, it is easy to even understand that this is possible as a scientist. But some might wonder the kind of body we would have. It would be an indestructible glorified body like the one the Lord Jesus has right now. That’s a body that can partake of both spiritual things and physical things. Since The Lord Jesus resurrected in the body over two thousand years ago, He is still alive in that body and has not grown old a bit. He will come back to receive us in that same body. His kind of body is the kind we would have on the resurrection. Go into today remembering the words of these verses: Philippians 3:20-21 (NET) But our citizenship is in heaven – and we also await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself. Don’t Deceive Yourself
James 1:22 (KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. When Linda started attending church services, she was very lucky to be attending a church assembly where the sincere word of God was preached and taught. Because of this, she understood that the way she was living her life was contrary to the will of God, but she continued to live that way and console herself with words like ‘no one is perfect, we are all saved by grace and not our works’. She told herself words like these while she continued to live like an unbeliever. She didn’t know that it was only herself she was deceiving and not God. She assumed she had a relationship with God, but did not know that she was still an unbeliever. Believers are known by their fruits (character) and not by their confessions alone (see Matt 7:16). It was when she got very sick, was about to die and had an out-of-body experience that she realized she was only deceiving herself all these years. She saw that she was going straight to hell, but her mother’s intercession brought her back. One of the worst forms of deceit is self-deceit. This happens when a person has come to sincerely believe a lie. This is bound to happen to those who hear the word of God but continue in their own ways contrary to the will of God revealed by His word. Like Linda, they would only end up deceiving themselves, thinking they are near to God while they are very far from Him. The devil who is the master deceiver loves these forms of self-deceit and can even orchestrate events to help facilitate it. Go into today remembering that God is not mocked and His standard remains unchanged; let everyone who names the name of God depart from iniquity (see Galatians 6:7, 2 Timothy 2:19). Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me to be a doer of your word and not a hearer only. Deliver me from all forms of self-deceit, in Jesus name. Amen. Not yet saved? BEWARE OF SEDUCTION
Download Audio Version:☞ http://bit.ly/audio1139 Rev 2:18-2018 “To the angel of the church in Thyatira write the following: “This is the solemn pronouncement of the Son of God, the one who has eyes like a fiery flame and whose feet are like polished bronze: 19 I know your deeds: your love, faith, service, and steadfast endurance. In fact, your more recent deeds are greater than your earlier ones. 20 But I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and by her teaching deceives my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. Kemi: why is that man still allowed to minister in the church? He clearly is not fit for that. Pamela: But he is an anointed man of God. He works signs and wonders, and he sees visions. Kemi: Didn’t you say he was the one responsible for Dorin’s pregnancy? Pamela: Yes, but you know people can make mistakes. Kemi: this one is more than ‘mistake’. This same man was the one who wanted me to be his girlfriend last month. The church in Thyatira appeared to be doing everything right. They were full of good deeds and very committed to the work of God. But there was something wrong going on in secret, and the Lord pointed it out to them. There was a ‘prophetess’ among them who was very corrupt. They knew of this but still allowed her to minister. You see, when a person who is demonized is allowed to continue ministering in a Christian assembly, he/she would easily transmit his spirit to the congregation. Many people in that congregation may find themselves having the same weaknesses as that of the minister. It is correctly said that the leaders’ sin is the leading sin. Go into today being very careful not to expose yourself to any minister who has a known questionable character. If you are a minister, remember that your accurate walk with God is no more just about you alone. Not yet saved?
