1 Corinthians 6:20 (NET)
For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
Dwight loved his dog so much and was deeply saddened when his dog was sick and would not recover. The dog eventually died and he buried it.
Two months later, his daughter was sick, but his time, Dwight was willing to give his life in order to save his daughter’s life.
Daniel loved his dog so much, but his daughter was much more valuable. He was not willing to give his life for his dog, but he was willing to give his life to save his daughter’s life.
One of the biggest manipulations of the devil against human beings is to make us feel worthless. The devil knows that when people do not know how valuable they truly are, they would be subject to his manipulations.
If you want to know how much God values you, look at how much He was willing to pay in order to redeem you from destruction. He didn’t make such a sacrifice to redeem fallen angels like Lucifer.
Have you ever wondered why the Lord Jesus is called the only begotten of the Father?
If God wants to come to this physical realm, He can only come as one man and only come once. Christ is not a copy of God; He is God come in the flesh. In Christ, all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily (see Col 2:9).
If the Lord Jesus had failed on His mission, there could be no other Jesus. Jesus is God’s greatest investment.
God sent Jesus because He wanted to redeem you from destruction and bring you into His glorious kingdom where you would become transformed into His image and likeness. When all this is done, redeemed man will be like God in image and glory. That was God’s original design.
The next time the devil tries to make you feel worthless, remember that you are more valuable to His creator and your creator than him. In Christ, God gave His life to save you.
