John 16:7-10 explains the way in which The Holy Spirit keeps us in the straight and narrow and here is a simple analogy of that work: In convicting sin, He says to you in love when you’re doing the wrong thing and are proud “Beloved why haven’t you believed in Jesus and that on any matter Jesus is enough and His words are true?” Regarding righteousness, He says to you when you feel unassured of your standing “Beloved, Jesus has justified you by His death on the cross and now He is no longer here, I am here to take his place to keep you in that standard He has set”. Finally, as it concerns Judgment, He says to you when you feel condemned or accused “Beloved don’t yield to the devil, he is already defeated. I’m not the One condemning you. You have a glorious future but he’s is of certain destruction. Resist him and everything he brings your way. You’re more than a conqueror!”. This is how we must keep ourselves in the straight and narrow because Matthew 7:13 shows it can be missed and it leaves no room for excesses by its uncompromising standard. Just as many have found themselves lost in the jungle of life without a compass or a travel companion we also as believers are susceptible to losing our way when we seem to or assume we can go through life alone without the Holy Spirit. To the one who is yet proud and has refused to receive Jesus, you are not on God’s standard path and judgment looms. But to him who has received Christ’s life, you have been made right and along the path you’ve chosen is life eternal (Proverbs 12:28). Amen. -Chibo E.C Not yet saved? POWERFUL WORDS

Before Tracy left for the motor park to embark on her journey, her aunt said ‘journey mercies dear’. To this Tracy said ‘amen’. While they were on their journey, Tracy fell asleep and had a most unusual dream. In that dream, their bus had a ghastly accident and she and one other person were the only ones that survived. While she was trying to get away from the damaged vehicle, a man dressed in white appeared to her and kept repeating in the exact voice of her aunt: ‘journey mercies’. While she was trying to figure out what was going on, she woke up. But it was the crash of the bus that woke her up. Indeed, the bus had crashed into a truck and it was a ghastly accident. Most of the people in the bus died, but she was spared. She only had bruises. Tracy realized that her life was preserved because of the words her aunt uttered earlier. When a Christian declares a thing, it should come to pass (Job 22:28) because we are children of God who have the authority of Christ Jesus. But many times, Christians find that their words are powerless. When a believer is used to uttering idle and useless words, they render his words weightless in the realm of the spirit. That is why Jesus warns us against uttering idle words (see Matt 12:36). Untrue words are idle words. Believers who tell lies do so at the expense of the power of faith that should be released when they declare things they want to come to pass. Go into today remembering that believers who tell lies and talk too much have weightless words in the realm of the spirit. -SD Abraham Not yet saved? Two hikers John and Smith left their camp for an adventure. Unknown to Smith, John forgot to take along their compass. At a point they were confused and John decided to guess and feel that he recognized some trees, a cleared pathway, a big river, etc. It seemed right until they eventually got lost in the woods. Thankfully they were found by rescuers after two days of search. The days are evil and so we are well aware that the day of the Lord is almost upon us. After knowing this, why will many still miss the way of the straight and narrow? The Word of God gives us our clue in Proverbs 14:12 Now is not the season for being seemingly right, neither is it for being fairly right nor feeling right. It is a time for searching right, for knowing right and for staying right. Many have missed and many are on their way to perdition because they came to a poor decision while leaning on their own understanding of being right. Now is the season of the Holy Spirit. He is our most trusted compass and most reliable travel guide that keeps us in the straight and narrow. He is the One whose voice speaks through our spirit saying “This is the way; walk in it” and who also releases the grace for us to stay in the straight and narrow (Isaiah 30:21). As you go into today, ask the Lord to help you grow in fellowship with Him through His Spirit. -Chibo E.C. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This is the first day of the year 2018. This is the beginning of a year of great joy for you in Jesus name. When we as believers speak, our words are very important and very powerful because we are children of God. God does not consider our words to be useless. In fact, we will give account for every idle word we speak (Matt 12:36). When you tell your friends ‘Happy new year’, you are prophesying that this New Year will indeed be a happy one. Do not waste those precious words, but say them in faith and use them as a medium to release power into this New Year. As you go into this new year, remember that your words are very important before the Lord. He uses them as a medium to release the blessing into your everyday life. Prayer confession: this is the year that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it(Psalm 118:24). In this New Year, I shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water (Jer 17:8). I am fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Col 1:10). My life radiates the glory and wisdom of God. Men shall see my good works and glorify my Father in Heaven(Matt 5:16). I shall prosper in all that I do (Psalm 1:3), In Jesus name. Amen. -Pst. NO ROOM FOR HIM

Join Our WhatsApp Group & Start Getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio From Us Daily. Click here to Join ☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/AMFFPzSNGjhKoAzkv6ioVsDownload Devotional Audio☞ http://bit.ly/aud1504 Luke 2:7 (KJV) And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. A story in an article described a man who was on a journey with his pregnant wife on a plane when suddenly her water broke. Airlines these days have planes so tight one can barely move. The sudden stress caused a commotion, but thankfully, a medical nurse on that same flight along with some cabin crew members made space near the toilet compartment. There the man’s wife successfully was delivered a baby. Their joy knew no bounds. We talk about how fast-paced life can be, and during Christmas and New Year this gets amplified. Many hurry to shop, travel, make sales, etc. Yet many leave no room for Jesus. Unfortunately, many believers get caught up in the frenzied celebrations yet really have no room for Him who they claim to celebrate. During this season, we are reminded that He not only deserves a tiny manger-like room in our lives but in truth should hold the keys to the master bedroom of our lives. Revelations 3:20 and John 14:23 tells us that if we love Him and hear Him, there is no way He should remain standing outside our lives. As you celebrate this season, make sure you have surrendered the temporary room of your life to Him because a day will come when Christ the Landlord of our lives will ask for the keys to judge how you have lived in His house. -Chibo E.C.
