OUR CONFIDENCE

1 John 5:14-15 (NET) And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. Daniel wondered why Femi had so much confidence in the office. It was clear to everyone that unlike them, Femi was not working in fear that he might lose his job. He was bolder and more confident than his colleagues in that branch. This made him excel above them all. Daniel: Fiona, what do you think gives Femi so much confidence? What is the source of His boldness?’ Fiona: So you haven’t heard? Femi’s uncle is the company’s chairman, and Femi has his uncle’s ear. Daniel: No wonder he is so confident and domineering. Femi was confident in the office because the Chairman knew and listened to him. Do you know that God the creator and ruler of all things, knows you and listens to you? He is now your father if you have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Today’s Bible text reveals to us that our confidence comes from the fact that God hears us. Go into today with new confidence and boldness to life, because you know that the King of Kings hears you whenever you ask according to His will. The easiest way to know God’s will is by knowing his word. Pray this Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the privilege of speaking to you. I ask that you help me walk always in this reality. In Jesus’ name, I pray. KEEP THE DEMONS OUT

John 5:14-15 (NET) After this Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “Look, you have become well. Don’t sin any more, lest anything worse happen to you.” Abu was possessed with unclean spirits and he knew it. His grandmother was a very popular and powerful witch doctor and he was her favorite grandchild. She once told him that he was the one to take her place in the future. When Abu believed in Christ Jesus, he was delivered from over 40 unclean spirits that possessed him. He knew that even though he loved his wealthy grandma so much, he could not continue going to her for any kind of help. Abu somehow understood that going to his grandma for help would expose him again to the demons that wanted to ruin his life. She would usually give Him a lot of money if he requested, but she would insist that he join her to participate in one or two rituals first. Yesterday we saw that when an unclean spirit is cast out of a person by the power of God, it cannot come back unless it is invited. The unfortunate thing is that some Christians invite back the evil spirits they have been delivered from. They do so by going back to their old ways of iniquity. Note that anything you do that has a hint of idolatry is usually an express invitation to demons. As you go into the day, ask the Lord to empower you to walk above every old sin that empowers unclean spirits against you. Prayer: Thank the Lord for calling you into His glorious light. Ask the Lord for grace to be all that He wants you to be. —Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get today’s Audio Here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3777Bible In 1 Year: II Kings 21-25 (In today’s audio) Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.Listen to our edifying online radio here: https://streamglobe.radio https://listen.streamglobe.org/DevotionalAudio3777.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download ()Subscribe: RSS

CASTING OUT DEMONS

Luke 11:24-26 (NET) “When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it passes through waterless places looking for rest but not finding any. Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’… If a child leaves the house, he knows he can still come back. But if a child is sent out of the house, he knows he cannot come back unless he is invited. Unlike people who use satanic power to deliver people, Jesus was not requesting that demons leave people. He was casting them out with authority, and this was clear to everyone. If it appears that a false prophet is casting out unclean spirits from people, what he is really doing is to covertly negotiate with the spirits to leave. The unclean spirits would always come back with more wicked spirits because they willfully left and can therefore come back when they want. I believe this is one proof Jesus was showing to the people who were in doubt about the source of His power to cast out devils (read Luke 11:14-26). The people must have noticed that, unlike others, when Jesus delivers a person, that person is free indeed; and becomes a productive member of society. But when others (who use demonic power) ‘deliver’ a person, that person is always having to go back to solve a bigger problem. Go into today remembering that ‘ if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (see John 8:36) Prayer: Thank the Lord for giving you the power to cast out demons.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get today’s Audio Here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3776 Bible In 1 Year: Leviticus 22-24 (In today’s audio) Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.Listen to our edifying online radio here: https://streamglobe.radio https://listen.streamglobe.org/DevotionalAudio3377.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download ()Subscribe: RSS

SPIRITUAL GROWTH: MIGHT

Galatians 4:1-2 (NLT) Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set. Unekwu used to have terrible nightmares. Sometimes, she would wake up with scars on her body because of demonic attacks during her sleep. Even after she became born again, these nightmares and attacks appeared only to reduce. She wondered what was happening. As she began to grow spiritually, she noticed that her attacks reduced and later went away altogether. A time came when she found it difficult to believe that she could go through those experiences. When she remembered them, she would laugh. She remembered how she used to run from place to place for deliverance and received temporary breaks from the demonic attacks. She now knew that she could never be under such demonic attacks again because her spirit man had grown too big for that. As Unekwu grew spiritually, she grew in spiritual might and power. Many times, Christians are unable to face certain things because they are still spiritual babes, and babies are weak. When you begin to grow in the knowledge of God and in faith, you will notice that your spiritual power and authority increases. And your spiritual might (or size) makes it impossible for you to be bound by any demon. Do you have a problem that you know has been spiritually orchestrated? Do not worry; focus on your spiritual growth. You will either grow out of that problem, or gather enough might and strength to permanently conquer it in your life. Go into today focusing on knowing Jesus and not focusing on your problems and weaknesses anymore. Pray this prayer: Lord God, please help me know you more and grow spiritually. SPIRITUAL GROWTH: KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST

Ephesians 4:11-13 (NET) until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God – a mature person, attaining to the measure of Christ’s full stature. Some terrorists intercepted the vehicle Lola was traveling in. They robbed everyone in the vehicle of their mobile phones, jewelry, and money. When they finished robbing, they said they were not going to release any Christian who did not denounce Christianity. Lola was the only Christian on that bus who did not renounce Christianity. She said, “If I do what you are asking, I am betraying and denying Christ. I cannot do that”. Lola said this because she had come to know the Lord personally. For her, renouncing Christianity was not simply renouncing a religion; it was betraying the trust of a person she had come to personally know. When the terrorists were taking her away, they were overspeeding, and this caused their car to have a ghastly accident. Everyone in the car died, but Lola did not even sprain a single bone. She was rescued by the police. The knowledge of Christ talked about in today’s Bible text is not theoretical, it is experiential and real. Jesus is real to a spiritually mature Christian. He is not just a person she talks about, He is a person she knows. But this is not usually the case for a baby Christian. Baby Christians are too self-conscious to be conscious of Jesus’ living presence within them. Go into today desiring to know the Lord more by spending time to seek Him. When you make time for Him, you will see He has time for you, and He is very present in your life. Prayer: Thank you heavenly father for giving me the grace to know Christ more. I pray you help me walk fully in this grace and benefit. In Jesus’ name. SPIRITUAL GROWTH: UNITY OF FAITH

Ephesians 4:11-13(NET) Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God – a mature person, attaining to the measure of Christ’s full stature. I remember how me and my siblings used to quarrel and fight when I was a child. This didn’t mean we weren’t siblings who love each other, the strife and fights happened simply because we were children. As adults, I don’t remember when last we fought or even had a quarrel. Maturity has brought respect and unity among us. We may have certain disagreements and sometimes see certain things differently, but this doesn’t mean we would be in a state of disunity. One of the ways you will know that you are growing spiritually is when you begin to develop a more open heart and mind to other believers in Christ who do not belong to your denomination or Church. If you truly know the Lord Jesus, you will not be a judgmental and condemnatory person. Even though all Christians will not be in the same denomination, all Christians can grow into spiritual maturity. And a sign of this is unity. This unity comes because of our common faith in the Lord Jesus. Go into today determined to put away spiritual childishness by removing every tendency in your heart to be judgmental. But rather, seek to show the love of Christ and project the substance of His doctrine through your life of Love. Prayer: Thank the Lord for facilitating your spiritual growth. SEEKING WISDOM

Matthew 25:1-2(AMP) Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish (thoughtless, without forethought) and five were wise (sensible, intelligent, and prudent). It is sad to see that not many people have wisdom and it is sadder that not many seek and desire wisdom. It is not good that the soul be without knowledge. (Prov 19:2). One of the worst things that can happen to any man is to be without wisdom. The Bible encourages us to seek wisdom. “Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom” (Prov 18:1 KJV). Wisdom is gotten through a strong and consistent desire for it. It is not just given to anybody, but to those who sincerely want it. When we seek, we shall find. (See Prov 2:3-5). The next step to getting wisdom is by separating oneself to study and meditate on God’s word and on the issues of life in the light of God’s word on a regular basis. So many believers suffer; so many can’t get hold of the blessings God has blessed them with because they lack wisdom. From our text, even a believer can go to hell just because of the lack of wisdom to do what is right. The Spirit of God is the source of wisdom. But this wisdom will not be released upon us if we don’t desire and seek it. The more we desire and seek wisdom from God’s word and in prayers, the more wisdom the Spirit of God releases to us. Go into today with the desire to get wisdom. Ask of God, for He giveth liberally to any who lack wisdom. (See James 1:5) Prayer: Father, I ask that You release upon me the spirit of wisdom, so that I may operate daily in Your wisdom. FIGHTING FEAR

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) ‘For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind’. Clair had a dream that her first son died in a motor accident, and she had this dream twice. Because of this, she was very afraid. All her prayers were prayers and fasting of fear and anxiety. She also went from place to place to seek spiritual help. Unfortunately, in a camping trip her son went for, there was a freak accident and he was the only one who lost his life. Two years later, Clair had another dream. This time it was her daughter that she saw involved in a plane crash. Her daughter was an Air Force officer. Clair had this disturbing dream thrice. But Clair had grown spiritually and now had more spiritual understanding. She prayed about the dream and refused to fear or worry about it. She now understood that her fear and anxiety was an evil thing that the enemy was using to gain entrance into her life. The last time she had that bad dream; she woke up and began to confess good and great things concerning her daughter. She confessed God’s great promises until she no longer felt any anxiety. Her daughter was promoted according to her confession, and several years passed with no evil report concerning her daughter. Faith is the vehicle through which God connects to us and helps us. Fear is the vehicle through which Satan afflicts. When God says ‘Fear not’, it is not a suggestion, it is a command. Go into today remembering that God has not given you the spirit of fear, but the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind. Since fear opposes faith, use faith to conquer fear by confessing God’s word that brings faith into your heart. Prayer: Thank you heavenly Father for your word that quenches my fears. I pray that you help me live by it, in Jesus’ name.
