GRACE FOR THE JOURNEY 2

Matthew 7:7 (NET) “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you. Gbemi started noticing a spiritual weariness creeping in. It wasn’t linked to any specific wrongdoing, but he sensed a significant dip in his faith – lower than he’d felt in a while. This made it clear to him that he needed an extra boost of grace for the journey ahead. (Think of God’s grace like a kind of spiritual life force – you can have an abundance of it or be running low.) Even though Gbemi had ASKED God to increase his grace and faith, he didn’t see an immediate change in his spirit. That’s when he realized it was time to take action and SEEK. He chose to embark on a period of fasting to seek the Lord’s guidance. During this time, God revealed areas in Gbemi’s life that didn’t align with His divine plan. Gbemi repented and made the necessary adjustments right away. The Lord wanted to elevate Gbemi to a higher level of grace and glory, but his current state of heart couldn’t fully embrace it. Gbemi received an infusion of grace when he dedicated time to seek the Lord’s face and get spiritually aligned. Occasionally, when we ask for help and it doesn’t immediately come, it could be a sign that it’s time to SEEK. Many times, Christians find that when they earnestly seek the Lord through prayer and fasting, their grace multiplies. This results in an increased ability to confront strong spiritual challenges and command difficult situations in line with God’s will. As you go about your day, make it a habit to earnestly seek the Lord. Remember, when you seek, you will find – because God is your loving Father. Prayer: Heavenly Father, empower me to seek you earnestly and align myself with your will and strength. GRACE FOR THE JOURNEY 1

Hebrews 4:16 (NLT) So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. A very wealthy king sent three of His servants to another city. They were to bring his goods from that city to their city within two days. He gave them sufficient money for their journey and for fueling their vehicles. Two of his servants arrived on time. The third servant was nowhere to be found. He showed up three days later after being apparently robbed and beaten up. He narrated to his boss how he ran out of fuel in the middle of the wilderness. His boss wasn’t very sympathetic with him; he said “I gave you more than enough money to buy fuel. You have failed, not because you are a bad person but because you failed to use the money I gave you to buy sufficient fuel at the right time and place. I am sorry, but you will not be promoted like your other colleagues who succeeded in their assignments” Grace can also be defined as divine empowerment for exploits. It is the fuel with which we live goodly empowered lives on this earth. Many have fallen along the wayside because they failed to approach God’s throne to receive grace. Jesus has paid the price for grace; all you need to do is simply ask for mercy and seek for grace. The light with which we find grace is God’s word. God’s word generates the faith required to appropriate God’s grace. God does not expect you to run this race by your own power, which is why He has provided unhindered access to His grace. All you need to do is ask, seek, and knock (see Mat 7:7). Go into today determined to constantly ask your heavenly father for the grace you need in living the life that pleases Him and fulfills His assignments. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before your throne today. I ask for mercy and grace. ETERNAL LIFE

Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV) But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. Today’s Bible passage speaks of a life that is both spiritual and everlasting. It’s important to grasp that our presence in the physical world hinges on our physical vitality. Similarly, to partake in the eternal realm, one must possess eternal life. When the devil and certain angels transgressed, they were banished from God’s presence, forfeiting this life. Likewise, when humanity fell into sin, we too were ousted from God’s presence and lost our access to eternal life, as sin cannot coexist in the eternal realm. Through God’s boundless love and grace, we are revived alongside Christ. Our sole avenue to eternal life lies in Christ Jesus. This is because God united us with Christ when He rose into eternal life. It is through His name that we gain access to the things of God, for no one can approach the Father except through Christ (see John 14:6). Embracing eternal life brings a multitude of blessings. It represents the pinnacle of existence, holding sway and superiority over all other spheres of life, including the lower spiritual realms where spirits and demons operate, as well as this three-dimensional physical realm. As you step into today, recognize that if you’re in Christ, you possess a quality of life that even the devil and demons lack. Consequently, you can exercise authority and dominion over them and all their endeavors (see Luke 10:19). Declaration: Through Christ the Lord, I possess eternal life. I walk in this life in Jesus’ name. THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD 2

Romans 3:21-22(NET) But now apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed – namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction Growing up in a Christian household, Nkechi was aware of what was wrong, yet she found these things tempting and alluring. However, as she committed herself daily to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, she began to view these same things as repugnant and harmful. A Christian who allows the Holy Spirit to guide them, as Nkechi did, will find it difficult to revert back to a life of sin. When you receive Christ as your Lord and Savior, you’re inviting Him to take the reins of your life. He resides within you, enabling you to walk in His righteousness, not your own. God’s righteousness instills in us a love for what is right and a disdain for wrongdoing (see Heb 1:9). This aversion to sin acts as a shield against falling into its clutches. Go into today asking the Lord to fill you afresh. Know that it is only those who are filled with the spirit that will be raptured when the Lord returns. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I implore You to grant me the empowerment of Your Holy Spirit, instilling in me a love for righteousness and a detestation of iniquity. In Jesus’ name, I pray. THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD 1

Romans 3:21-22 (NET) But now apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed – namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction When Nkechi believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and received the Holy Spirit, she discovered a profound shift within herself. Returning to a life of sin felt like a violation of her very being, disrupting the peace she now held dear. As she delved into the Word, she recognized the birth of a new nature within her, one that radiated pure righteousness. This nature recoiled from sin, leaving her with a sense of dirtiness and guilt whenever she stumbled. Regrettably, there are many who profess faith in Christ and lay claim to His righteousness, yet their lives reflect the opposite. For some, this pattern has become so ingrained that their consciences have become desensitized, no longer heeding the signals from their renewed spirits. These signals are meant to alert them when their actions stray from the righteous path, urging them to repent. Righteousness isn’t just a concept or a mere title; it’s a dynamic force in action. It manifests as a visible way of life, surpassing even the limitations of the law (see Gal 5:21-23). Its standards exceed those of the Law, as it stems from a transformed heart, not just an adoption of rules. As you step into today, bear in mind that righteousness is a call to action. Jesus came to empower you to walk in His righteousness—a righteousness that springs forth from unwavering faith in Him. Confession: I am walking in a manner that aligns with the Lord’s will. I am bringing Him pleasure in every aspect of my life (see Col 1:10) in the name of Jesus.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get today’s Audio Here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3803 Bible In 1 Year: II Timothy 1-2 (In today’s audio) Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.Listen to our edifying online radio here: https://streamglobe.radio https://listen.streamglobe.org/DevotionalAudio3803.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download ()Subscribe: RSS

GOSPEL, NOT THE LAW

Luke 16:16 (KJV) The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. Remi: why have you shaved your hair? Juliet: our pastor said the new revelation from the Lord stipulates that I must do this in order to make heaven. There are also fifteen new rules you must keep to be sure to make it. You need to read them. Remi: New rules? Count me out of that. One of the reasons John the Baptist is so important is because his coming and ministry marked the beginning of the kingdom era. The kingdom of God is now the heavenly agenda for humankind. Anyone who will be saved now will have to accept the gospel and enter the kingdom of God by faith in Christ Jesus. It is very sad that today, so many still preach the law rather than the kingdom. The law is characterized by rules and regulations. Obeying them should guarantee salvation, but it does not. The law and the prophets in themselves are not bad, and they came from God. But God brought the gospel because humankind does not have the ability to obey the law according to the spirit of the law. This made the law unable to produce real righteousness in people. The best it produced was self-righteousness which is as filthy rags before the lord. Note that righteousness is worn as a garment before the Lord. Go into today knowing that the kingdom of God is the best thing that can happen to you. You enter into the kingdom by receiving Christ as your Lord and Savior; and trusting in His righteousness to empower you to be righteous. Prayer Confession: I am saved by grace, not by law. I am a partaker in God’s kingdom because of Christ Jesus. WHO DO YOU SERVE? 2

Luke 16:13 (KJV) No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. In life, we face a crucial decision: will we serve mammon or serve God? It’s impossible to serve both simultaneously. A choice must be made. In the earthly realm, the need for money is a dominant reality. We pursue education and skills to secure our livelihoods, which is perfectly fine. However, it’s essential to remember that everything we are and possess is meant for the service of God. Our true fulfillment should come from pleasing the Lord rather than amassing great wealth. A key indicator of whether we’re serving mammon or God is to assess what guides our life choices. Do we prioritize making money, even at the expense of our relationship with God? So, what fuels your journey? Is it a love for money or a love for God? Many who profess to serve God are actually driven by a love for wealth, not a love for Him. The driving force is the pursuit of financial gain. But this should not be our stance. As you step into today, seek the Lord’s help in purifying your heart from any perspective that elevates mammon beyond its rightful place. Prayer: Beseech the Lord to empower you to serve and please Him in every aspect of your life. WHO DO YOU SERVE ?

Luke 16:13 (KJV) No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Dele received a revelation that made him understand he was to serve the Lord in Kaduna. There were several confirmations, and he was sure God wanted him to dwell in Kaduna. Three months later, he got a much better job than his current job. The salary was ten times more, but the only issue was that he would have to relocate to Lagos for the job. At that point, Dele refused to pray objectively. He was trying to convince himself that the Job was the will of God. He knew in his spirit that taking the job was not God’s will, but he took the job after going to seek counsel from a pastor who told him what he wanted to hear. Dele went to Lagos and walked out of God’s will for his life. Dele is an example of a Christian who serves Mammon. A Christian who serves God realizes that his purpose in life is to serve God; that everything he has was given for him to use to serve God and experience dimensions of God. Such a Christian would get to the point that God Himself would take responsibility for his every need. Nothing of this world becomes so important that it hinders his relationship with God. This is manifested in his willingness to let go of anything that the master demands. Go into today remembering that we are serving sons of the great God. Do not let your life be defined by the desire to get more money, let it be defined by the desire to please and serve God. Prayer confession: I am pleasing the Lord in all things. I am serving Him with everything I have, In Jesus’ name. HOUSEHOLD OF GOD 2

Galatians 6:10 (NKJV) – “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” In today’s verse, we’re reminded to extend kindness to everyone, but there’s a special emphasis on showing love to our fellow believers. Jesus emphasized this point clearly when He stated that our love for one another would be the mark of our discipleship (John 13:35). In Matthew 25:41-46, we learn that some individuals will face rebuke from Jesus. These individuals, though identifying as ‘Christians,’ failed to demonstrate love towards their fellow believers, and as a result, they won’t be granted entry into His Kingdom on the final day. Apostle John, in 1 John 4:20, reinforces this notion by stating that we cannot claim to love God while harboring hatred for our fellow Christian. Today, make a conscious decision to treat your Christian brethren with the same kindness and consideration you would wish for yourself. This is the essence of esteeming others above yourself (Philippians 2:3). Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the ability to truly love my brethren. In Jesus’ name, I pray. HOUSEHOLD OF GOD 1

Galatians 6:10 (NKJV) Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Ugbede was on the lookout for a better job, and his siblings were rallying to assist him in finding a good opportunity. Fortunately, there was an opening in his brother’s company for an ICT specialist, a role Ugbede was perfectly suited for in terms of qualifications and experience. Recognizing that many would vie for this position, Ugbede’s brother mustered the courage to approach his Managing Director and advocate for Ugbede. That’s how Ugbede landed his fantastic new job. We go out of our way many times to help our earthly brothers and sisters, but many times, we fail to do so for our heavenly brothers and sisters. Many Christians don’t realize that what joins us together as Christians is stronger than flesh and blood. We are members of the family of God. You were born into this family when you became born again. We should always be conscious of the fact that we belong to God’s family and we have brothers and sisters who may need our help. When you walk in the consciousness of this reality, you are unlocking several possibilities that are only activated when you understand your spiritual identity. Many Christians have not fully taken advantage of the fatherhood of God because they have neglected true brotherhood with His Children. Go into today determined to treat your Christian brother as your brother indeed. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask that you help me obey this word and understand that my first identity is in your Household.
