Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
James was an only son of a widowed mother, but he was living his life without a care. He had an arrogant confidence because his uncle had told him that he would sponsor his university education to masters level. Unfortunately, all of a sudden, his uncle died and then it dawned on him that his future was in jeopardy. He experienced a lot of pain and hardship afterward, but by grace, he met and accepted Jesus as his Lord. In later years, looking back after finishing his Ph.D. with a scholarship in one of the most prestigious universities in the world, he was most grateful that God’s plan prevailed in his life instead.
To the one who is lost or who feels like the worst offender, God still has a plan waiting to prosper you. However, it only becomes active when you by faith, receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior (Luke 23:40-43).
To you who knows and fears God but are wondering how you’ll make it, as your life at this point in time seems to be further away from your dreams, be encouraged! God’s plan may not follow the route your mind expects, but it would come to fruition (Gen 50:20). Just as there’s a way that seems right at first, but the end is destruction, God’s plan may not seem clear to you now, but it will surely lead to life and peace (Pro 12:28).
Go into today knowing that God’s plan is still intact and unchanged concerning your life, and as you keep trusting Him, your life will only get brighter till you get to your place of glory (Pro 4:18).
