How To Use Prophecy

Download Audio Version☞ bit.ly/audio1732   Numbers 23:19 (KJV) God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? After being married for twelve years, mercy was still awaiting the fruit of the womb. She became desperate because she didn’t marry on time and her biological clock was no more in her favor. Her husband who used to be very sweet and kind had become sour, and her in-laws were no longer nice to her. As she cried to the Lord one night, she remembered a word of prophecy that came to her. The word said she was going to have three children and they were all going to be boys. As soon as she remembered that prophecy which she knew was from the Lord, she received strength again to pray. The first time that word of prophecy came to her, she believed it. But that night, she not only believed it but used it as a weapon of spiritual warfare with which she dispelled every doubt and unbelief in her heart. She conceived that same month. Faith (which is a shield) comes by hearing the word of God, but the word of God is also a sword. It is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). In 1 Timothy 1:18, we see that Timothy was charged to use the prophecies he had received to war a good warfare. Prophecies are to be used not just kept in the recesses of the heart. When Daniel read the prophecies concerning Israel and it was appearing as if they were not going to be fulfilled, he started spiritual warfare, and his basis and weapons were the prophecies he had read(see Daniel 9:2). Go into today remembering that spiritual warfare is won by praying always in the Spirit, with the weapon of God’s word (Ephesians 6:12, 18). —Pst. Life and Lifestyle

Download Audio Version☞ bit.ly/audio1731 Titus 3:8 (KJV)This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. What we have as believers is a kind of life; a God kind of life. Scriptures sometimes refer to it as eternal life (1st John 5:11&12, John 1:4-5, 12-13), meaning that in reality we received a new kind of life in salvation. This is our reality. However,  we must know that this life is not just like a trophy we keep for bragging rights, but the rather, it manifests–it produces something. YOU SEE, THIS LIFE PRODUCES A LIFESTYLE. The scripture is replete with this emphasis. One scripture that encapsulates this truth in a profound way is Ephesians 2:8-10. 8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them. You see, this salvation-life was received not by our works (of the law), HOWEVER, the life is designed to produce a work (of righteousness) in every one who receives it. It is therefore ignorance, foolishness or dishonesty to think that there is a disconnect between this life and the lifestyle of the recipient. We have received the God-kind of life, but this life produces godliness. Oh yes, the hood does not make the monk, BUT THE MONK DOES WEAR A HOOD. IF YOU HAVE THE LIFE, LET IT PRODUCE THE ATTENDANT LIFESTYLE IN YOU. Prayer: Heavenly Father,  please help me to love you more and live a life worthy of your nature that I have received. In Jesus name. Amen. —Ikechukwu Mpama   Bible in 1 Year: Psalms 93-95 (in today’s audio) Not yet saved? Go here: streamglobe.org/33 Streamglobe is interdenominational and nondenominational. The Spirit Filled Life 4

Download Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1363   Ephesians 5:18,21 (KJV)And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Before Efe became born again, he was a very stubborn person. He would only do what he wanted to do and could not be convinced to do anything he did not first conceive. He believed that he was always right; and it was very hard for him to receive and accept counsel. Because of this trait, he got himself into unnecessary complications in life. Many problems would have been avoided if only he would take counsel. When he received Christ and became born again, it was difficult for him to submit to anybody. But he did not know that because of this trait it was also difficult for him to submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit within him. He found out that this trait in his heart was the reason he couldn’t walk in his high places as ordained by the Lord. Many have the Holy Spirit, but many are not filled. In being filled with the Holy Spirit, you must be continually submitted to the Lordship of Christ through the Holy Spirit. Moses had so much power with God because he was the meekest man in the whole world (see Num 12:13). You cannot excel in your walk with God if you are not meek in your heart. For God resists the proud (James 4:6, 1 Pet 5:5). If you cannot love your brethren whom you can see, how will you love God? In the same way, if you cannot submit to your brethren, you will not submit to Christ. Go into today remembering that among the many other things we do and become filled with the Holy Spirit, submitting to one another is very important. A heart that cannot submit to constituted human authority will not submit to the authority of Christ, and such a person will not be filled with the Spirit. Ask the Lord help you have a meek heart (see Matt 11:29, Phil 2:5). -Pst. Abraham Damilola Arigi Not yet saved?     Download today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1362   Ephesians 5:20 (KJV)G iving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The prince of this world is the devil. He is the one in this world and he has a lot of experience (see 1 John 4:4). By human strength shall no man prevail against him. The reason why those born of God will overcome him is because the Holy Spirit that dwells within them is greater than the devil. The Spirit that dwells in the believer is so much greater than the devil. He was the one who created the devil and He is infinitely more powerful than the devil. The devil knows that as long as a believer is filled with the Holy Spirit and walks in the Spirit, he doesn’t stand a chance against that believer. He will do everything possible to deceive the believer and distract him from the place of fellowship and communion with the Holy Spirit. He will do everything to cause the believer to break fellowship with the Spirit since he cannot do ANYTHING to cause the Holy Spirit to break fellowship with the believer. We can see from today’s Bible text that Thanksgiving produces a Spirit filled life (read from verse 18). An unthankful heart cannot be filled with the Holy Spirit because such a heart is not walking in the will of God. Thanksgiving in all things is the will of God for us in Christ Jesus (see 1 Thessalonians 5:18). If the devil can get you to focus more on your challenges and become unthankful in your heart, he has succeeded in hindering you from being filled with the Spirit. Go into today remembering to count your blessings and focus on the good in your life. You can begin by thanking the Lord for forgiving your sins (see Psalm 103:1). You could never have been able to pay for them. Ask the Lord to help you to be thankful in all things. -Pst. Abraham Damilola Arigi Yearly Plan: Leviticus 25-27 (In Devotional Audio) Not yet saved? PRAYER FOR THE SICK IN TODAY’S AUDIO Download today’s  Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1361   Ephesians 5:18-19 (KJV) And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord Femi keenly observed that whenever he was in the Spirit, there was usually a song in his heart. He also observed that whenever he wanted to stay filled, the easiest way was to continue to sing it. There was a particular morning he woke up with a song, and he decided to sing that song all day. He later discovered that the song was a weapon for warfare. His spirit drew strength and was filled with the Holy Spirit as he continued to sing that song. The strange situations and temptations he faced at work that day did not break him. He overcame by the power of the Holy Spirit. Notice in today’s Bible verse that in being filled with the Spirit, we are to speak to ourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. We are to sing and make melody in our hearts to the Lord. When a song comes to your Spirit, do not ignore it; sing it and let the Spirit flow. As you let this happen and you are filled with the Spirit, there is nothing you will not be able to overcome because through the Holy Spirit, we overcome the world (see 1 John 4:4). The reason why you can overcome the [dark forces of this] world is because the Holy Spirit that dwells in you is greater than them. This means you have to let Him fill and control you. Go into today remembering that the praises of the Lord in your mouth sets you up for victory in warfare. They would spend some of their evenings together; singing and playing the piano, sharing God’s word and discussing things that edify. He observed that because of these things they did regularly, his life was now filled with the Holy Spirit. It was now easy for him to walk in truth and integrity. It was easy for him to walk in righteousness and holiness. His spirit was now free and he could now pray more. He saw that he was no more depressed the way he used to be but was now contented and happy. Doors began to open for him on every side and he knew this was because he was now walking in the Spirit. The things you say, the thoughts you think, the songs you sing, the company you keep and the presence of meekness and thankfulness in your life are important factors that determine whether you will live a Spirit filled life. As a believer, you have the Holy Spirit within you, but there is a difference between when a vessel is full of water and when there is some water inside it. God wants us to be filled to overflowing with the Spirit. This is when the God life begins to flow out through us, and we become more powerful witnesses for our Lord. Predestination

Romans 8:29 (NET) because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Download Today’s Audio: bit.ly/aud2076 The doctrine of Predestination is probably one of the most misunderstood. Some people think it means there are people that cannot be saved because they were not so predestined. But that is not true. God wants all people saved (1Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9). Jesus did not die for the sins of the predestined, but for the sins of the whole world. Some others say predestination means nothing. That we are all products of our choices, and we are ultimately the master of our destinies. That also is not entirely true. Our limited minds may not be able to fully comprehend the dynamics of predestination right now,  just like the concept of eternal life may be difficult to wrap our minds around. God’s realm of eternity is quite different from time. When things happen in time, it is because they have already happened in eternity,  but if they fail to happen in time, they cease to exist in eternity. That’s why people’s names can be erased from the book of life (see Revelation 3:5, 22:19, Exodus 32:32-33),  even though names were written there from the foundation of the world(see Revelation 13:8). So important is this realm of time that God invested Himself in His fullness into it. In Christ Jesus(resurrected Christ) dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Things that exist in everlasting dimensions in eternity can be scaled into time. The three [distinct] persons of the Godhead came together and said ‘let us make man in our image’. One man in the image of three persons. That should give a picture of the relationship between eternity and time. Yet the things on the earth are only but sketches and patterns of the things in the spirit realm(see Heb 9:23). Here lies the phantom, there the reality. This should make us sober because decisions that may look like trivial ones here in time do have eternal ramifications of unimaginable magnitude. When Adam sinned by ‘simply’ eating the forbidden fruit,  he probably did not know how much damage this wrecked in the spirit realms. It took God to become a man to remedy the damage. The things in the heavens were also defiled and needed to be cleansed because of sin committed on the earth (see Hebrews 9:23). If a person believes in Christ,  it may look like a momentary decision,  but it has eternal ramifications. This space is not even sufficient for us to establish a brief foundation for the doctrine of predestination. But if there’s anything you should take from today’s study concerning predestination, it is that God does not do anything He never planned to do. He is never taken unawares by happenings. He is in control of everything. You can rest in this knowledge. Go into today with this Prayer: Lord God,  thank you for the awesome privilege of being created in your image. Please help me walk worthy of my calling and please you in all things. Amen. -Abraham Damilola Arigi Not yet saved? The Spirit Helps Us 2

Download Today’s Audio: bit.ly/aud2075 Romans 8:27-28 (NET) And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes on behalf of the saints according to God’s will. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose When Dozie could no longer bear the humiliation he was facing at work because he was now born again,  he decided to quit. Three weeks after Dozie left that organization, police officers invaded the office and arrested everyone. They were accused of money laundering as a financial institution. The international police were also involved in the matter,  and the evidence was so overwhelming. Dozie was spared from going to jail because he followed the leading of the Spirit to leave that organization. When believers pray in an unknown tongue,  it is different from speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is to people and it should be interpreted, but when a believer is praying in an unknown tongue, he is speaking to God by the Spirit,  and no one understands him(see 1 Cor 14:2) because he is speaking mysteries- full of groanings. I believe that no one referred to in 1 Cor 14:2 includes the angels and fallen angels. But God who searches the mind knows the mind of the Spirit. That’s how God decodes the groanings of the Spirit for us. It is in the backdrop of these top-secret communications that all things are made to work together for our good. This is why believers in the new covenant become unpredictable to the devil who normally is a master of probability (see John 3:8). When you speak in an unknown tongue,  no one understands you (1 Cor 14:2). Today’s verses reveal that even God searches the mind of the Spirit to decode the groanings of the Spirit. Every warfare requires encrypted communication that the enemy can not decipher. In the old testament,  God’s people were engaged in a lot of physical warfare,  but in the new,  the warfare is spiritual,  and we have our top-secret channel of communication with headquarters through the groanings of the Spirit. Go into today remembering that you are not alone in this world. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, is with you always. Because of Him,  you are an overcomer (1 John 4:4). Prayer: Heavenly Father,  please help me pray in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit always. Help fulfill my divine assignment on the earth, in Jesus name. Amen. -Abraham Damilola Arigi Not yet saved? Watching Daily

Download Today’s Audio: bit.ly/aud2074 Proverbs 8:34 (NKJV) “Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gate, waiting at the posts of my doors.”   The beauty and quality of your walk with God will depend on what you do on a daily basis. The things we do on an occasional basis hardly produce deep and permanent results in our lives. God is not supposed to just be a part of our lives but the most important person in our lives on a daily basis. From our lessons previously, it is becoming very clear to us that a daily approach to the things of God is what really matters in the final analysis. This is the best way to enhance our level of authority in the realm of the Spirit. One major reason why a devotional like this exist is to help us start our day with scriptures and something to meditate on daily. Watching is an act of expectancy; looking forward to something. It’s an attitude of eagerness to receive from God on a daily basis. The verse above also talks about “waiting”. Watching and waiting are not things we do in a hurry; time is usually spent doing them. From our anchor scripture, you will notice that “watching daily” is God’s expectation; God wants it and he proclaimed blessing on anyone that does it. There is so much that God wants to add to our lives on a daily basis. All we have so far is just a drop in the ocean of God’s possibilities. There should be an eagerness to have more of God daily. We watch daily to receive fresh encouragement from the Lord. No mortal man has the capacity to encourage us as much as we can receive from God. Even the best of our friends and close ones may not always be around; this is why we must stay connected to God’s fountain of divine encouragement daily. We watch daily to receive fresh direction for our lives. The journey of life requires that we keep receiving direction as we proceed in the journey. Once a pilot loses touch with the control towers in the airport, he will end up in a mess. Go into today knowing that watching daily is actually an act of dependence on God. Knowing that we need God daily no matter what we have received in the past. (Psalms 63:1-3)   Prayer: Lord I am here to receive from you today. Lord, I ask that  you order my steps today. I ask for wisdom to take the right step and say the right things today. -George Evuarherhe Djorhogba Not saved? The Supernatural Dimension

Download Today’s Audio:  bit.ly/audio1723 1 Corinthians 12:1 (WEB) Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I don’t want you to be ignorant.   Dean had become a grandmaster in the occult. He gave himself so much to the occult because he wanted power. He thought he had power until one prayerful widow moved next door to him within the same apartment. This woman had more power than Dean had ever seen. She was a real prayer warrior. Many times she prayed in the night, Dean saw strange things like powerful angels whose presence terrified the demons that normally empowered him. Because she was his next-door neighbor and her presence and prayers kept terrifying and subduing him, he eventually surrendered to Christ because of her influence. This woman could lead Dean to the Lord and effectively disciple him because she was not ignorant concerning the things of the spirit and the supernatural dimension of the faith. The first night she slept in that apartment, she discerned who Dean was in the spirit, and from then on she intentionally demobilized him spiritually. That was what ultimately led him to salvation. She would have never been able to lead a man like Dean to the Lord if she was not exposed to the supernatural and prophetic dimension of her walk with the Lord. Revelations, spiritual gifts, angelic encounters, etc, were not strange to her. Go into today remembering that you are more effective in life and ministry when you are not ignorant concerning spiritual things. Prayer: Ask the Lord to guide you into all truth so that you may experience the supernatural and power dimension of His kingdom. —Abraham Damilola Arigi Not saved?
