Who Can Be Against Us

Download the Audio: bit.ly/aud2081 Romans 8:31-32 (KJV) 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Tracy’s husband’s family hated her,  and they made this very clear to her months after their wedding. They told her she was the reason their son was no longer loyal to the family. After their wedding,  Benjamin became more committed to the Lord because of Tracy’s influence. He was from a pagan family that took pride in their idolatrous practices. But since his marriage,  Benjamin stopped giving them money for such practices because his sanctification to the Lord meant he had to consciously cut off from all idolatry whether knowingly or unknowingly. He now gave his parents more money for their upkeep,  but no more money for their rituals. Because of this,  his relatives knew they could no longer control him. Benjamin accepted the Lord when he was in secondary school. He was a leader on campus fellowship in the university, that was when he made it clear that he was no longer going to be participating in the family rituals. But unknown to him,  he still participated by proxy because he would give his relatives money to participate [on his behalf]. By giving them money for the rituals,  he didn’t know that he was giving certain demons license to operate in his life. This was why his spiritual life as a bachelor was a terrible struggle. But this all ended after he got married to Tracy and they both became more dedicated to the Lord. Tracy did not know the kind of deep darkness in her husband’s family until after she married him and he became more dedicated to the Lord. Strange battles began against her and the family. There was a night her husband’s grandmother literally appeared in their bedroom to threaten Tracy. That was when they realized that the traditional sculpture in their bedroom was demonic,  and they got rid of it and all others. Tracy was told several times in her dream that she would die and her husband would marry another girl. She was afflicted during her first pregnancy and almost lost it,  but the Lord gave them perpetual Victory. She and her husband entered their victory through the revelation in today’s scripture (Romans 8:31-32). This was when they realized that God would do anything to protect them. They stopped being afraid and on the defensive, but started being on the offensive spiritually. Many of their family members eventually came to know the Lord because of them. If God did not spare His only begotten son for our sakes,  how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Go into today knowing that God is on your side. If by faith, you live under the authority of Christ Jesus,  you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). There are much more angels than there are demons, and they are all on your side. Prayer: Heavenly Father,  help me rest in the truth that you are eternally on my side. Thank you Father, in Jesus name. Amen. Want to be saved? Predestination 2

See Predestination 1 here: streamglobe.org/predestination/ Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud2080 Romans 8:30-31 (KJV) 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? A rich generous king prepared a big banquet and was kind enough to invite all the nobles and honorable people in his kingdom. But unfortunately,  they all despised his invitation and made it clear that they were not coming. Because of this,  he extended his invitation to everyone else– the commoners were now invited. Everyone else was now to be part of the party. Read Matthew 22:1-14. Salvation was for the Jews(John 4:22). They were the noble people of God’s kingdom because they were the nation separated unto God from their inception. But the door was opened to the Gentiles because the Jews rejected the call of God (Romans 11:12). This was demonstrated in the fact that they were the ones who gave the Lord over to be crucified. But God was aware of all this. It played into His eternal plan to save not only the Jews but the whole world. Today,  many are called, and we can see from today’s Scripture that it is those who have been predestined that are called. But we also see in Matthew 22:14 that out of the many called,  few are chosen. Our response to the call is what will determine whether we are chosen. Because man has free will,  the fact that he was predestined and called does not automatically mean that he would be chosen. We have to respond to the call. For those of us who have responded to the call of God to become conformed to the image of His dear son,  we need to continue in our conviction to the end (Hebrews  10:23). Let’s not allow distractions,  pressures,  and cares of this life hinder us from being fruitful. Let us endure to the end so that we would receive our crown and not be ashamed when our Lord appears. Go into today remembering that God’s got you. Your salvation was planned from the foundation of the world. Your life is not a coincidence and all things are working together for your good because you love God and are called according to His purpose. Prayer: Thank you, Heavenly Father, for choosing me before I knew anything. I ask that you help me walk worthy of this glorious call and please you in all regards. Christ Our Strength

Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud2079 Colossians 1:29 (KJV) Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. One thing is certain: the work of the Lord lays on us a lot of spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional demands. You can’t function in the Kingdom without a huge amount of spiritual, psychological, physical and emotional intelligence. The work of the Lord is about dealing with people and meeting their needs on all these levels of human interaction. It lays on us a huge demand of exertion and pushes us to our limit. We must all expect this. It is usual. But then, while the above is the fact, the exciting truth is that we are divinely helped and built up in all of these spheres by Christ who is in us and is MIGHTILY WORKING in and through us. Our anchor scripture captures the reality of this. In Ephesians 3:16, Apostle Paul shows us how the Lord does this by strengthening us “with might by His Spirit in the inner man.”The might of God is not just only spiritual, it is also both physical, psychological and emotional. Why will the Lord do this for us? Because He wants us to be effectual and profoundly fruitful. He wants us to be able ministers of the gospel, being His hand to reach out to a lost world with salvation, first spiritually and then at all other levels of human engagements. No wonder He says in 3 John 1:2 – “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” So, while we know the demand the work lays on us, we are assured of strength from Christ, as He supplies all our needs (spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional) according to His riches in glory. Go into today with the understanding that you can do all things through Christ Jesus who strenghtens you. Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your strength that is made perfect in me and that renews my strength always. I do not lack the spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional support I need to function in Your kingdom. And as You supply my needs, I meet the needs of people in my sphere of influence for You, in Jesus’ Name. Praying In Jesus Name

Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1372 John 14:13-14 (NKJV) And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. 1 John 5:14 (NET) And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. When you obey the commands of the Lord, it is proof that you believe and abide in Him, and whatsoever you ask in His name will be done for you (see John 15:7). Note that ‘whatsoever’ lies only within the context of God’s will. In John 14:13-14, Jesus was talking to His disciples and to believers. His disciples are those who abide in Him. They naturally walk in His will and ask according to His will. There is the temptation for those who have received grace (to walk in His righteousness)  to begin to trust in their fruits [of righteousness] as the reason they should receive from the Lord. This is a temptation that we must always resist whenever we come requesting anything from the Lord. We must always remember that the reason we receive from the Lord is because of His goodness and stature, not because of our works. Go into today knowing that the way to pray in the name of Jesus is by praying with the understanding that our prayers will be answered because of Christ Jesus, not because of our works. —Pst. Marriage: The Altar and You

Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud2078 Genesis 2:24 (NET): That is why a man leaves his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.   It was a little cloudy and a gentle breeze was blowing as the choir gave their number. Not long afterward, Vincent and Chidinma stood before the pastor reciting their vows, and in a few minutes the pastor said, “…I hereby proclaim you man and wife…You may now kiss the bride…” You see, (almost) everybody loves a wedding ceremony. Some look at it with expectations and others with nostalgia mixed with a tincture of sadness, wondering where all the love bubbles went. Here is what you must know. Marriage requires maturity and this comes with character development. When an intending couple goes to the altar and the pastor makes the attendant declarations of joining, a miracle happens; two singles become a married couple. In the words of the scriptures, two flesh becomes one, and this is a great mystery (Ephesians 5:32). However, their character does not change with that declaration. A believer seeking to enter into this great institution of marriage must be armed with this knowledge that wedding will not change your character, but the rather, marriage will amplify your flaws. A believer’s preparation for marriage must include spiritual growth and maturity. A good checklist will be the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and love as described in 1 Corinthians chapter 13. You won’t automatically get more patience because you got married to the love of your life, actually, you can beat the love of your life to the inch of her life given the right circumstances when patience and self-control is not developed in you. Go into today noting that spiritual growth comes by the diligent application of yourself to God’s word. I ask, what are you doing with your singlehood? Are your preparations for marriage largely filled with rehashing sweet little words and choosing fancy restaurants? Are you paying attention to yourself? Take heed to yourself, and be deliberate about your spiritual growth. Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me continually grow and be like Jesus in my heart. Only By The Holy Spirit

Download Audio Version ☞ bit.ly/aud1370 2 Timothy 1:7 (NET) For God did not give us a Spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control. After Kemi became baptized in the Holy Spirit, she realized that she was no longer weak. This happened because she was properly taught to live a life controlled by the Holy Spirit. She lived her life in the consciousness of the Holy Spirit’s presence within her. She lived in constant communion with the Lord through the Holy Spirit. Because of this, she observed that she was no longer a fearful person, but now a fearless and self-controlled person. Peter was a very fearful person before he became baptized in the Holy Ghost. But after he was baptized, he became fearless and would publicly preach in the same Jerusalem where he was afraid to identify with Jesus and denied Him before a young lady (see Luke 22:54-62). When the Holy Spirit fills a person, He changes the person. When believers are taught to walk in the Spirit after receiving the Holy Ghost, their lives are miraculously transformed. Even Drug addictions vanish by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has the ability to affect even our mortal bodies (see Romsns 8:11). As we consciously commune with the Lord through the Holy Spirit by talking with Him and praying in the Spirit, we are being transformed into His image and this removes our fearfulness and weakness. Go into today knowing that the only way you can live the life God called you to live on this earth is through your communion with the Holy Spirit. Remember that it is only a meek heart that can walk in the Spirit. Marriage: It Is God’s Idea

Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud2077 Genesis 2:18 (GNB): Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for man to live alone. I will make him a suitable companion to help him” One of the dictionary definitions of abuse is the improper use of a thing. This is why even good things can become harmful when they are misused or abused. We live in a time where there is an increasing attempt to take God out of the picture and grope in the dark trying to use the candle of human intellect to navigate through life; that is a mistake. Marriage is one of the places where this mistake is made. A picture is being painted of marriage that involves just the emotions and decisions of the two persons involved, and unfortunately, some Christians are buying it. But this is an aberration. You don’t go into an institution and decide what the rules and regulations are depending on your whims, rather you subscribe to the laid down regulations of the institution or not enter at all. Marriage is an institution created by God. It was His idea, not man’s. He who created it has also decided how it must be done. We must realize that marriage is not just about [the emotions and decisions of] the two persons going into it (otherwise if you take that to its logical conclusion then even homosexuality becomes an option). It is an institution that whoever must go into must meet with the entry requirements, and when in it, must run it according to the rules. So it is not just about Chemistry and Biology, it is about God’s will. That is the right outlook to marriage. Malachi 2:15a “And did not he make one? … And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed…” God has clear instructions on who a husband is and how he ought to behave, likewise for the wife. Go into today determined to approach (your) marriage with God’s will in mind, for God’s will is both perfect, good and acceptable. Prayer: Lord, help me to approach every area of life with your will as my guide. Praying in the Spirit (Tongues) 3

Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1368 1 John 5:14 (NET) And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.   When Amara realized that the Holy Spirit helps us to pray according to God’s will when we pray in tongues, she was now interested in praying in the Spirit. She did not want to be left out of the fullness of God’s bounties. She now observed that whenever she prayed about an issue and prayed in the spirit while praying about it, she got feedback and answers faster. Sometimes she would just know that the answer to the prayer will not come immediately, and sometimes she would know that the answer to the prayer will come instantly. She also now knew if she had “prayed through” concerning an issue, or if she still needed to pray and seek the Lord concerning it. Sometimes, while praying in the Spirit and praying with her understanding about a matter, she would receive insight and clarity and wisdom, and would know exactly what to do. All these never happened before when she only prayed with her understanding. The most effective way to pray is to pray according to the will of the Lord. The most effective way to do this is by praying in the Spirit. Go into today knowing that the Holy Spirit is received by faith. Praying in the Spirit is an act of Faith, and it pleases God because it is an act of faith (see Heb 11:6). Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you pray more in the Spirit. -Pst. Praying in the Spirit (Tongues) 2

Download the Audio☞ http://bit.ly/aud1367 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 (NET) If I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unproductive.   What should I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing praises with my spirit, but I will also sing praises with my mind. The first time I realized that I could pray with my understanding while praying in the spirit, it revolutionized my prayer life. When you pray in tongues, your spirit is praying, but your mind is usually not involved and it is even possible for your mind to wander away while you are praying in tongues. One wise thing to do while praying in tongues is to also engage your mind in praying and communing with God. Get your mind involved in praying while you are praying in tongues. It is possible to pray all your prayers in tongues, but it is wise to also pray with your understanding as well. The Lord Jesus also taught us to pray with our understanding when He taught us to pray in the prayer popularly called ‘the Lord’s Prayer’. Go into today remembering that prayer is as important to your spirit as breathing is to your body. Just like you breathe without ceasing, you are to pray without ceasing. Don’t forget that Praying in the Spirit is a necessity for the believer, it produces spiritual power and might. We have been instructed by God to do so (see Jude 1:20, Eph 6:18). Prayer: Lord, help me pray without ceasing. -Abraham Damilola Arigi Yearly Plan: John 3-4 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational and nondenominational. Praying in the Spirit (Tongues)

Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1366 1 Corinthians 14:14 (NET) If I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unproductive.   Amara refused to pray in tongues because she was wrongly taught that whenever she prayed in tongues, she had to interpret it or get someone to interpret it. She was also not comfortable with the fact that she did not understand what she was saying whenever she prayed in tongues. Her spiritual life was pegged because she never prayed in the Spirit (see Jude 1:20, Eph 6:18). Whenever a believer prays in tongues, he is praying in the spirit because his spirit prays (see 1 Cor 14:14). It is through prayer that we provide the license for angels to operate in our realm. There are things God would want to do for people, but he would need them to pray first (see Eze 22:30). When believers pray in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit uses their spirits to pray the prayers that God needs them to pray in order to help them in ways they do not even know they need help. The Holy Spirit also helps us to pray as we ought to pray when we pray in the Spirit. Prayer that is not factored on God’s will is not effective. The Holy Spirit helps us in this regard when we pray in the Spirit (see Rom 8:26). When you deliver a message in tongues to people, it must be interpreted or the message will be useless to them. This is different from when you pray to God in tongues. Go into today knowing that when you pray to God in tongues, you do not need to interpret it because God understands all languages, including groanings of the Spirit, expressed through incomprehensible  words that come out of your mouth when you pray in the Spirit. Prayer: Lord, help me pray more in the Spirit and built up myself (Jude:20). Not yet saved? Follow this link: streamglobe.org/33 -Pst.
