The Blessed Hope

Download Today’s Audio: bit.ly/aud2065 Romans 8:22-23 (NET) 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers together until now. 23 Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies.   Whenever you hear of a hurricane, an earthquake,  a tsunami,  or a volcanic eruption,  it is a sign that creation is groaning and suffering. Whenever you struggle to pray,  struggle to meditate on God’s Word, or struggle with the flesh,  it is a sign that you too are groaning. God didn’t create man into struggle, He created man to enter into His rest. The first day of man was the sabbath day of rest. The first fruits of the Spirit are manifestations of the Holy Spirit within us. When a believer begins to interface with the power of the Holy Spirit,  he would immediately realize that there is much more for him in God,  but he would also realize that there is a great hindrance to walking in the fulness these realities. That hindrance is the limitation of the flesh. It takes a level of spiritual maturity and walk with the Spirit to realize that our spirits are groaning in expectation of something. Very much like the way a woman in labor groans in expectation. But what is this expectation for which creation and believers who have the firstfruits of the Spirit await in groaning? It is the resurrection of the dead. This is when mortality shall put on immortality. This is when our bodies would be changed to glorious bodies that cannot die,  grow old or decay. These bodies have the capacity to reveal our true nature as sons of God. When the resurrection happens, creation too would be set free from its bondage of corruption. This earth would begin to work properly and would be able to relate with man according to the original design. During the millennial reign of Christ and the saints on this earth, the earth would know such peace and harmony that has never been experienced. We would take charge of every territory on earth and bring peace to the nations. Go into today with the hope of our calling sure in your heart. When the Lord returns, the dead in Christ shall rise first,  then those who remain would also resurrect into the glorious body that can manifest the glory and power of God in ways our minds are too limited to fully comprehend right now. Believers who live in this hope have their priorities rightly ordered. They are those who would walk in enduring faith because faith is the substance of hope(see Hebrews 11:1). Prayer: Dear Lord, please deliver me from every distraction against my soul. Help me live my life with the consciousness of my eternal identity and assignment. Amen. -Abraham Damilola Arigi Want to be saved? Click here: streamglobe.org/33 Yearly Plan: Ezekiel 31-36 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational. Keep a Firm Grip

Download Today’s Audio: bit.ly/aud2064 2 Thessalonians 2:15 (NLT) With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter. The realities of this ‘social media’ age is the heightened need for acceptance. People want to be liked and fear being different. The world is becoming more and more intolerant of anyone holding an unpopular view, and anyone who doesn’t agree with the general view is labeled intolerant, phobic and narrow-minded. In light of this, believers are under pressure to shift grounds and compromise the truth in order to conform to the demands of an ever-changing world. However, the word of God warns, keep a firm grip on the truth. It is a command. Christian values remain the same as has ever been. Jude 1:3 describes our faith as one that has been handed once and for all times to us. Keep a firm grip on the truth, understand that the Christian/godly stance on sexual purity has not been modified, its stance on integrity remains the same, and its stance on love is still as was given…Hold fast to these truths as revealed in God’s word. Because as Hebrews chapter 2 verse 1 succinctly puts it, “So we must be more careful to follow what we were taught. We must be careful so that we will not be pulled away from the true way” (Easy-to-Read Version). Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me build my life according to the culture of your kingdom. Fill me with your Spirit and help me never to cave to the pressures of this world, In Jesus Name. Amen. -Ikechukwu Mpama Want to be saved? God’s Eternal Plan

Download Today’s Audio: bit.ly/aud2063 Luke 17:20-21(KJV) …the kingdom of God cometh not with observation:  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Right from the foundation of the world God intended to extend His Kingdom from heaven to earth. His eternal plan, which would be manifested, according to the scriptures, is to establish His reign here on earth. The physical dimension and takeover of God’s kingdom over this earth would happen when the Lord returns with His saints and the kingdoms of this world become the kingdom of our God and of His Christ. We shall literally reign over every territory of this earth for a thousand years(see Revelation 20:4), and we would reign forever over the new heavens and new earth that would come thereafter (see Revelation 21). Satan thought he had won when he got Adam to sin. When Jesus came into the scene, satan had Him killed and thought he had won again. Both Satan and his demons never knew the wisdom of God “…for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”(1 Corinthians 2:8). Jesus Christ is the real deal. He came to establish the Kingdom of God here on earth. Today, everyone that accepts the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and believe in Him has the kingdom of God literary within them. Such who live submitted to the kingdom is an heir of the throne of the kingdom (Romans 8:17) and is going to reign with Christ at the physical establishment of that Kingdom (Revelation 3:21). When asked by the Pharisees about the kingdom, Jesus said, “…the kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” He was telling them that the Kingdom of God had come. Many of them did not believe in Him because they expected a more spectacular arrival of the kingdom, but that was how they missed out.  Jesus was the physical carrier of the kingdom but they knew it not. We are carriers of the kingdom but the world does not know. God is fulfilling His eternal plan through us already, for as more people receive Christ as Lord and Saviour, the more the Kingdom of God is spreading. As you go into today, remember that you are a carrier of God’s kingdom. This is an awesome privilege. Prayer: Dear Father, I thank You for Your eternal plan and I thank You for making me part of it. As a carrier of Your Kingdom, I go ahead today, recruiting more people to be part of the Kingdom. I am not slack towards it, as I look forward to the establishment of the Kingdom physically, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. – George Djorhogba Want to be saved? A Faith-filled Outlook

Download Today’s Audio: bit.ly/aud2062 Luke 5:5(KJV) And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.  Life to us is a reflection of how we look at it, from standpoints and perspectives. These shape the way we see life. We have been encouraged to have a positive outlook on life and always be hopeful that things will turn out well. But today I want to encourage you to take it a little further by having a faith-filled outlook to life. A positive outlook is different from a faith-filled outlook. A positive outlook encourages us to go into everything we do positively, in full confidence in the human principles that we want to employ. But human principles are limited, they can fail. A faith-filled outlook to life is also positive but goes beyond that. It is based on the Word of God. It is important we understand this so that we can start looking at life through the vistas of God’s Word. When we do this, we not only stay positive but are assured of victory because even though human principles may fail, God’s word never fails. In 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, we see that “our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” God’s Word is infallible, it doesn’t only show you the beginning, it shows you the end. It says in Job 8:7 that “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” This gives you not only a positive outlook to life but a faith-filled disposition to it. Get to God’s Word. Listen to God’s Spirit bring the Word for the now to you from heaven. With this, your faith is stirred up within you and you’re set in motion knowing that victory is assured. Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for Your Word. It is the guiding principle of my life. Through it, I receive faith and ability to win daily as I look at life through the eyes of Your Word. I am filled with faith and I am winning daily, in Jesus Name. Amen. -George Djorhogba Want to be saved? Measure of Grace

Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud2061 Philippians 4:19 (KJV)  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.   There was a certain woman who had a lot of money but was barren. Her husband no longer loved her and would have nothing to do with her. For many years, she didn’t even know if she was still baren after undergoing certain medical procedures because her husband wouldn’t come near her. She was a believer in the Lord Jesus and was known to be a person of integrity. One day,  she observed that a certain evangelist in her church was in need of financial help,  so she decided to give him offerings both for his personal family needs and for the work of the ministry. She was not expecting anything in return for her offering but was just trying to meet the need of a minister and honor the anointing upon him. This evangelist was so provoked by her generosity that he said: “my God,  who I’ve been serving all these years,  will meet you at that point of your need”. Two weeks later, her husband who wanted nothing to do with her repented and left his girlfriend who had used witchcraft to keep him under her control. In that same month, she conceived. She gave birth to twins nine months later at the age of 56. The popular Bible verse of today’s meditation was a prayer Apostle Paul made for the Philippians after he received their generous offering through Epaphroditus (see Philippians 4:18). Notice that in this prayer,  Apostle Paul refers to God (who is also the God of the Phillipians) as “my God”. Knowing fully well that his God was their God, why would apostle Paul refer to God as ‘my God’ when praying this prayer for the Philippians? It is because of a spiritual principle we shall try to examine. God’s power is at work in our lives at different levels in accordance with the measure of grace that we have received(see Romans 12:6). Grace is multiplied in our lives through the knowledge of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ(2 Peter 1:2). The progressive knowledge of God takes the process of a faithful walk with the Lord, and this knowledge multiplies grace. Grace is God’s power localized in the life of a believer, and it is comminuted with through the believer’s faith. God is unlimited,  but his manifestation in a person’s life is regulated by their measure of grace and faith. When a servant of God says “my God shall…” when praying for believers, he is calling upon a dimension of God that is known to him but may not yet be known to them. This dimension would supply a measure of grace(that they themselves have not yet grown into) to meet their needs. Go into today remembering that when God’s people are generous to His servants who have received a measure of grace to serve Him in certain capacities,  it provokes special manifestations of the blessing in their lives. -Pst. Dealing with Envy

Download today’s audio: bit.ly/aud2060 James 4:2-3 (NIV) 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. Tinuke and Adenike were best friends in the university. But after school, it appeared that Tinuke started progressing much faster than Adenike. Tinuke got a very good high paying job, but Adenike didn’t. Tinuke got engaged and married, but Adenike remained single. Adenike became troubled because it appeared that God no longer answered her prayers. She started asking the Lord why. The Lord mercifully revealed to her that since she graduated, she could not pray without having Tinuke in mind. She was envious of Tinuke, and her prayers always started from that point of envy and covetousness. She did not know that this envy was greatly hindering her progress and prosperity. You see, when there is envy or covetousness in the heart of a believer, it pollutes his motives and hinders him from receiving from the Lord because God does not answer His children’s prayers that stream from fleshly motives. God is a good father; He does not reward bad behavior. When a person truly trusts in God and knows that everything he will ever receive comes from the Lord, such a person will not be envious of his neighbor’s progress. We can learn from today’s Bible verse that one way to ensure that God does not answer your prayer is praying from a standpoint of envy or covetousness. Envy causes hatred, and those who hate their brothers are considered to be murderers in the kingdom of God. Go into today asking the Lord to help you purify your motives and pray acceptably. -Pst.  Abraham Damilola Arigi Yearly Bible Reading: Psalms 27-29 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is Nondenominational. Led By His Voice

Download the Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1341 John 10:27-28 (NASB) 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. Seyi was disturbed that as a believer he didn’t really know the voice of the Lord. This was a big problem because he understood that this was what distinguished the sheep from the goats. He understood that there were goats and there were sheep, and everyone claimed to be a follower of the Lord, but those who are led (whose lives are controlled) by the voice of the Lord are they who are His true sheep (see Rom 8:14). He understood that it is those who follow the leading of the Lord that will never fall ‘For He leads [them] in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake’. But how could he be so led without the ability to know or hear the voice of the Lord? He started praying and fasting about this. One morning, he received enlightenment when he picked up his Bible to read. He looked at it again and it occurred to Him that these are the words of the Lord. Every word in it was inspired by the Spirit of Christ. Reading and understanding it was the easiest way to hear the voice of the Lord and follow it. The Lord leads us by His instructions in the Bible. As a matter of fact, there is no leading from Him you can receive in your spirit that will contradict His will as expressed in the Bible. Go into today remembering that Christians who want to be led by the Lord go for His word. They crave His word like newborn babies crave milk (see 1 Pet 2:2). Read the Bible and get materials to help you better understand the word (Get books, download sermons, attend meetings, etc). Prayer: Thank the Lord for the Bible. -Pst. The Living Faith

Download the Audio:  bit.ly/audio1340 James 2:17 (NASB) Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.   Works are no more the enemy of faith than breathing is the enemy of life. Breathing is effortless, so that even when you are sleeping and kind of unconscious, it continues unabated. But if you climb up a long flight of stairs or run a short distance, you will suddenly understand that breathing is serious work. Panting as if your life depended on it. It does. You cannot by getting the paramedics to use their resuscitation equipment to breathe for a dead man, get him to live again. It is life that produces breathing, in the first place. A baby does not come alive by breathing. It is conceived and grows to full maturity in the womb without taking a single breath. The first breath is taken in the first minute of life after it comes out of the womb when the baby has been alive already, for nine whole months! But if it does not breathe, it is a problem; and where nothing is done to help it breathe, you will quickly discover that although it did not come alive by breathing, it will die by not breathing. Is breathing produced by life? Yes, it is. Does breathing sustain life? Yes, it does. So also is salvation and works. So next time a person tells you that salvation cannot be maintained by works, ask them to hold their breath for you just to be sure they are still alive. [It is impossible to continue doing that for long]. For that is the same thing as someone who claims he is saved no matter what he does. Because faith without works of obedience, works of righteousness, works of holy living, Is dead. -Dr. Ebele UzorPeters Want to be saved? A New Creature

Download the Audio: bit.ly/aud1339 Acts 1:8 (NET) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.” After Seyi received the revelation that made him realize he was now a new creature because of his faith in Christ Jesus, he knew that he needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit. He kept on reading books about the Holy Spirit and realized that the Holy Spirit is the secret of Holiness. Anyone filled with the HOLY Spirit will be HOLY. He didn’t only want to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit, he wanted to remain filled for the rest of his life. He knew that was the only way he would stay without backsliding again. Staying on fire for God became his biggest priority in life. He sought this with the whole of his heart. He didn’t want to be a slave to sin any longer. He loved his newfound freedom in Christ and the boldness and authority it brought. He was no longer tormented by demons but now had the power to cast them out, etc. I have come to realize that if many Christians seek the Kingdom of God the way they seek to have more money, many will be so powerful that their world would have been set on fire for Christ. You cannot seek the Kingdom of God without seeking His righteousness. This righteousness is ministered to your Spirit by the Holy Ghost. He empowers you to walk above sin in this world. Go into today remembering that the Holy Spirit empowers you to be Holy. Seeking the kingdom of God also means seeking to be filled with the Spirit at all times. Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you to be filled at all times (see Eph 5:18-20). -Pst. SD Abraham   Want to be saved? The Testimonies of God

Download the Audio: bit.ly/aud1336 Psalm 119:1-3 (KJV) 1Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. 2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. 3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. Clara won a new convert who later told her that he was one of the friends of the boy who wanted to drug her and rape. She felt so much hatred for that boy afterward. But she knew she could not let that hatred dwell in her heart. She knew that doing this would be breaking the commandment of Christ. This was about her relationship with her Lord. Jesus commands us to love God, Love each other, and love even our enemies (see Mat 5:44, John 13:34). In today’s Bible verses, you can see that there is the Law of the Lord and there are His testimonies. It is usually in the place of seeking that Lord that you receive His testimonies (see Psalm 119:2b). His testimonies are vehicles through which He delivers victory into areas of your life. You walk in His law, but you keep His Testimonies. In the new covenant, you walk in His law by walking in the Spirit. You keep His testimonies by obeying His instructions to you. For example, He may instruct you to stay away from social media for a season in your life, and He would usually make you understand the reason why. Go into today knowing that keeping His testimonies is the secret to walking above iniquity (Psalm 119:2-3) and overcoming in life (Rev 12:11). This is only possible when you first walk in His law (the Law of the Spirit characterized by relationship, not by regulations). -Abraham Damilola Arigi Yearly Plan: Psalms 81-83 (In Devotional Audio)Want to be saved?
