But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth. There was a time in my life that I realized it was very difficult for me to forgive those who offended me. Even though I was already a believer baptized in the Holy Spirit, I didn’t realize that unforgiveneess and malice were so dangerous until I realized they were hindering my fruitfulness in God’s kingdom. The sins mentioned above are those that can be in the life of a believer and he may not take it seriously. Unlike the sins mentioned in Col 3:5, these ones do not feel as defiling as them, but we are to put them off because they are not consistent with our new divine nature. As you go into today, examine yourself under the light of God’s word. Ask the Lord to help you put off anything that is not in his nature. Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me put off everything in me that does not please you. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. Fola was terribly afflicted in her body and she did not understand why this kept going on. She cried to the Lord for help. One Saturday morning, Pastor Clara felt led to go pray for Fola. But before she started praying, she felt led to ask Fola certain questions. It became clear to pastor Clara that Fola was still living like an unbeliever, even though she was very committed to the church. Fola’s sinful life was the reason she was afflicted. She confessed her faults to Pastor Clara and she became healed after Pastor Clara prayed for her and anointed her with oil. (see James 5:13-16). The reason why believers must put to death whatever is in their nature that belongs to the earth is because we do not want to be partakers in the wrath of God that is coming on the sons of disobedience. Many believers suffer many things that they are not to suffer because they are still living as unbelievers. This doesn’t mean the righteous cannot be afflicted. The only difference is that the Lord will always deliver the righteous (see Psalm 34:19). Go into today determining to mortify everything in you that is not in conformity to the nature of Christ. Ask the Lord to help you to this end. -Pastor SD Abraham Not yet born again? click here☞ http://bit.ly/beSaved2 Yearly Bible Reading: Acts 23-24 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational. We request that you Kindly Share This Devotional with Your Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. When Stacy realized that she needed to be discipled, she found this very difficult because of her history. When she was in the occult, she knew the secret of many believers and even certain pastors, and she knew that many of them were hypocrites. This was the first reason she decided she was not going to commit herself to anyone, but would grow on own. Now that she realized that the Lord wanted her to be discipled by someone, she began to pray about it. She now remembered the pastor who was indirectly responsible for her salvation. Her reasoning was that he had to be a genuine pastor for the Lord to defend him the way He did when she tried to attack him. She decided to start attending his church. In that church she was no more anonymous, but started interacting with other believers. This was the beginning of her accelerated spiritual growth. One of the powerful advantages of discipleship and Christian fellowship is impartation. Another great advantage is accountability. It is very important for every believer to have other believers to whom he or she is accountable. Even the Apostles in the early church were accountable to one another. This means they could correct and rebuke one another (see Gal 2:11-14). Today, there are many believers who are not accountable to anyone. They cannot be corrected because they feel they have great knowledge. But this is a trap of the evil one. Go into today asking the Lord to connect you to brethren to whom you will be accountable. Ask the Lord to deliver you from the wrong company. -Pastor SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Revelation 7-11 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational. We request that you Kindly Share This Devotional with Your Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. When a child is still a baby, he needs the help of other adults in order for him to survive, but as the child grows older and older, he will get to the point where he would now be able to take care of himself and would no longer need to depend on the help of an adult to survive. He would now be able to feed himself without being fed, etc. Very recent converts usually need the help of disciplers to grow. They usually need other mature believers to guide them in the way of the Lord so that they would abide and not fall away. But as the believer becomes more and more spiritually mature, he gets to the point where he no longer needs that nursing help of the older believer but can now continue to grow by himself. Unfortunately, this is the point where many believers stop growing. They are no more exactly spiritual babes, but they are not quite mature. This is the stage of the believer’s life when he begins to become aware of specific assignments and callings of God upon his life. It is usually the time he is expected to build capacity for ministry and spiritual fruitfulness. But many get to this point and stop growing because they feel they have already arrived. This is manifested in the way they no longer crave the word of God. They no longer read spiritual books and they wane in other things they used to do to help them grow spiritually. Go into today remembering that spiritual growth is truncated when you begin to believe that you have arrived. -Pastor SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Song of Solomon 3-4 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational. We request that you Kindly Share This Devotional with Your Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. Stacy realized that she wasn’t growing spiritually, and this became a cause of great concern for her. She knew this before she saw that many of the things that God said would happen in the life of a believer were not yet happening in her life. As she started searching to find where the problem was, the Holy Spirit helped her to see that she could not grow to the fullness of Christ on her own without the input of other brethren. She was a spiritual lone ranger. She never read any spiritual books or listened to any sermons nor did she submit herself to be discipled by anyone. She attended a church where she was anonymous. Every baby has the potential of becoming an adult. But the child has to grow up first. When you became born again, you were born after the nature of Christ. But this will only be actualized when you are spiritually mature. Spiritual maturity makes us more and more like Christ, both in character and in stature (authority). Physically, there are many things required in order for a newborn baby to grow and become an adult; the baby needs to be cared for by other adults. That’s how spiritually; believers need to be cared for by other mature believers. And there are those specially equipped by the Lord to do this. They are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and teachers. Ephesians 4:11-13 (NET) It was he who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, that is, to build up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God – A MATURE PERSON, attaining to the measure of CHRIST’S FULL STATURE. -Pastor SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Psalms 143-145 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational We request that you Kindly Share This Devotional with Your Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. When Stacy received Christ as her Lord and Savior, it was a very spectacular encounter. She used to be deeply involved in the occult and was a ranking member of a powerful cult. She had an encounter with the Lord Jesus one day she tried to cast a spell to kill a pastor. This was how she came to know the Lord. Unlike many other new believers, she had great understanding of spiritual things and she understood that her spirit was now literally born again. She was so excited about what happened to her because she knew that it required very great spiritual power to cause this miracle of spiritual new birth. All the powers of the princes of the kingdom of darkness put together would not be sufficient to produce this kind of spiritual reality in one single soul. It didn’t take her long to realize that even though she was a new man in her spirit, this new man had to be taught and trained in order for it to reach its full potential and destiny – the image of Christ. Even Jesus had to grow in favor with God (Luke 2:52). He had to learn obedience even though He was God’s son (see Heb 5:8). There is always a learning process for those who will reach spiritual maturity. Go into today knowing that your new inner man has to be trained in knowledge according to the image of Christ. You have to learn obedience as a son of God and grow in the knowledge of God. This learning comes when you engage the word of God. Ask God to renew you and make you more like Christ daily. -Pastor SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Nehemiah 10-13 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational We request that you Kindly Share This Devotional with Your Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. God does not want His children to be controlled by the love of money. This is only possible when we are contented with what we have. Being contented with what you have is different from being satisfied with where you are and becoming complacent. A contented person is a thankful person. He is grateful for where he is and is thankful for where the Lord is taking him. An uncontended person is an ungrateful person. He compares himself with others and is easily deceived by the deceitfulness of riches. The ‘deceitfulness of riches’ says that all a person needs in this life is money. That is not true. You need much more than just money in this life. Ask those with lots of money who are still dying of incurable diseases. Jesus says in Luke 12:23 (NET) that there is more to life than food, and more to the body than clothing. This means there is more to life than what money can afford. It is because of the mindset controlled by the deceitfulness of riches that the rich fool in Luke 12:13-21 lost his life. In Mark 4:19, we see that those who subscribe to the deceitfulness of riches cannot be fruitful in God’s Kingdom. Such people cannot serve God because they serve mammon. Wheras, those who serve God will not lack anything. Many go to church, not because they love God, but because they love money and want God to give them money. Such ‘Christians’ will not have power with God (they cannot be rich toward God) and will always be at the mercy of time and chance. Go into today remembering to watch against covetousness and the love of money. Thank the Lord for where you are and where He is taking you. -Pastor SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 26-28 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational We request that you Kindly Share This Devotional with Your Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. REPENTANCE AND THE CONSCIENCE

Her father had warned her several times not to take his car out without his permission. She took it out one day without permission and it ran out of gas while she was driving it. She refueled it, but the engine started malfunctioning after that. She didn’t tell her dad what happened, but she started acting really weird around him and couldn’t even look him in the face anymore because of her guilt. He had to spend a lot of money on fixing the car. When she was tired of the strain in their relationship caused by her guilty conscience, she decided to come out clean and confess what she had done. She didn’t know that her dad already knew and had already forgiven her. He was only waiting for her to come out clean. We saw yesterday that a bad conscience hinders faith from entering the heart of anybody. That is why before faith towards God is mentioned among the principles of the doctrine of Christ (in Hebrews 6:1-2), repentance from dead works is mentioned. When a person hears the Gospel and believes it, the first response is repentance from dead (sinful) works, usually followed by water baptism-the baptism of repentance (Acts 2:38). This takes away the guilty conscience (see 1 Pet 3:21), and then faith producing salvation (practical deliverance from sins and the powers of Satan) can now enter the heart of the believer. Notice that in 1Pet 3:21, the baptism of repentance is directly linked to the good conscience of the believer towards God. Go into today remembering that the most potent way to deal with lingering guilty conscience is to come out clean before the Lord (1 John 1:9) or before a member of His body who represents Him (James 5:16, Matt 18:15-18, John 20:23). -Pastor SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: II John (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational We request that you Kindly Share This Devotional with Your Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. Dare was walking with a defiled conscience because of a sin he refused to repent of. He needed divine healing and wanted to receive it by faith. He tried to apply all the principles of hearing the word to build faith in His spirit, but faith was not coming because he was walking in a defiled conscience. In 1 Tim 1:19, we see that faith and a good conscience always work together. Faith does not build up in the heart of a person who contineus in a defiled conscience. That is the reason why in James 5:16, in order for the believer to recieve his divine healing, he needs to confess his faults. This deals with his defield conceince. From today’s Bible verse, we see that in order to receive the manifestation of the divine nature through God’s promises, we have to have first escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. This is possible by the power of God’s grace. And this power is supplied by the indwelling Holy Spirit. As you go into today, ask the Lord to help you get rid of anything in your life that causes defilement of conscience, so that your faith can grow and you can walk in all the promises that usher in various manifestations of the divine nature. -Pastor SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Acts 21-22 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is interdenominational We request that you Kindly Share This Devotional with Your Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. Daniel did not only receive divine healing, but as a result of the revelation he got before he became healed, he didn’t fall sick again. This was a manifestation of the divine nature at work in Him that we can call Divine Health. But how did he begin to walk in this divine nature? It was by virtue of God’s promises. During the period he was sick and studying the word of God concerning divine healing and health, he read certain promises concerning healing and health and they became Rhema to him. He knew he was now healed because heard and heard those promises until he received them by faith. We see from today’s Bible verse that it is through God’s magnificent promises that we walk in His divine nature. One reason why it is very important for believers to know the scriptures is because they contain God’s promises, and it is through these promises that faith comes to manifest attributes of the divine nature that the promises reveal. It is possible to be a believer and not walk in certain manifestations of the divine nature because you do not know (or have not recieved) the promises of God that activate those manifestations. That is why God’s people can suffer for lack of knowledge (see Hosea 4:6, Job 36:12, Proverbs 5:23, Proverbs 10:21 in ESV). Go into today remembering that God’s promises are the keys that open up different manifestation of the divine nature to you.
