1 Corinthians 6:20 KJV
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
There are those who believe that the reason for their salvation is so they could be free from their problems: poverty, oppression, sicknesses, etc. Others believe that it is so they could have power, dominate and rule.
But what do you think is the reason for your salvation?
In Luke 1:71,74, we see that Jesus came so that we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear.
The above passage shows that salvation itself is freedom from our enemies, but many saved children of God today have spent a lot of their time in fighting enemies. Meanwhile, what we should be doing is to serve God without fear, in holiness and righteousness all the days of our lives (Luke 1:75 KJV).
The reason you are saved is so that you would glorify God. Because many have not lived by this truth, they fight battles that are already won in Christ.
If you want to live a life free from the fear of enemies, you will have to begin to live your life solely to glorify God. This way, God Himself will become the enemy of your enemies.
Pray this way: Father, I give myself to you– spirit, soul and body. Let my life always give you glory.
