Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Sharon was 16 years old when it became clear to her that her life was not ordinary but God had a plan for her. She did not know many doctrines, all she knew was that God loved righteousness and hated iniquity, so she avoided all appearances of iniquity.
When she got to the university, she maintained her lifestyle of purity and discipline. Because of this, some of her classmates did not like her.
Because she did not have many friends, she developed friendship with the Lord and became very excellent in everything she did as a result. What the enemy meant for evil became the reason she graduated at the top of her class.
A believer who loves God demonstrates his love by obedience. Jesus says if you love me you will keep my commandments (John 14:15). We saw some of the Lord’s commandments yesterday. We are to rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing and be thankful in everything.
Those who live in the sovereign will of God, those for whom all circumstances end up working for their good, are those who love God. Remember Joseph, all the enemy did to put him down ended up being what the Lord used to propel him to his glorious destiny. We also see that Joseph loved God. This was demonstrated in his refusal to violate the standards of God’s righteousness that he knew. He refused to sleep with Potiphar’s wife because he said God wouldn’t approve.
Do you want to walk in the will of God and fulfill your glorious destiny? Then walk in the love of God. May we find grace to do just this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer: Father, help me love you in truth and walk in the reality of your will. Deliver from the love of this world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
