Psalms 25:5 (KJV) “Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.”

When you wait on the Lord, you will be transformed. The idea here is that your nature gets lost in His. He takes away your shame and disgrace and clothes you with honor. This is why the Psalmist says that not one person who waits for the Lord will be disgraced. (Psalm 25:3).

Also, you receive guidance when you wait on Him (Ps 25:5). You can’t lose your way or miss the mark if you are waiting on the Lord. Waiting has to do with patience. You see, He won’t teach you if you are in a hurry. Sometimes you need to wait all day long if necessary to be taught.

You will experience His salvation as you wait for Him. Integrity and uprightness are God’s character which He imparts on you as you wait for Him. (Ps. 25:21). Waiting on the Lord brings you to a point and place where you get bound together (like a twine) with God. You exchange your weakness for His strength. He changes your mindset and this leads to a change of vocabulary. When you speak like Him, the heavens become your transmission station.

Dear believer, wait on the Lord patiently and prayerfully this season. He will surely turn to you and hear your cry for help.

Prayer: Pray for grace to wait on the Lord this season.
