Judges 6:12-14 (KJV) “And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?”
As long as Gideon was ignorant of God’s ordination for him, he and his nation suffered in the hands of their enemies. All the while, the Lord was with him and he was a mighty man of valor but his ignorance kept him in obscurity and reduced him to a man seeking survival instead of being a savior.
There are many mighty men of valor today who like Gideon are afraid of their enemies and are living far below God’s ordination for them, even when it is obvious that the Lord is with them.
There are yokes that will never be destroyed until you have discovered God’s ordination for you and have began to make conscious effort to fulfil it.
Regarding this, God in Isaiah 10:27 said, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing”.
Go into today knowing that a child of God will remain under certain kinds of yokes if he refuse to do what he has been anointed to do.
Prayer: Father, reveal my ordination to me and help me fulfil it in Jesus name. Amen!
