1 Corinthians 15:41-42 (NET)
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon and another glory of the stars, for star differs from star in glory.
It is the same with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.
When Jesus ascended into heaven, He ascended with His body because He now had a body that could partake in the things of heaven and the things of earth. That’s the superior kind of body we would have during the resurrection.
The kind of glory your resurrection body will have is different from the kind of glory your body has right now.
That body cannot die nor grow old. It is a body, but it is spiritual. It would be able to partake in both the spiritual and physical dimensions of the realms.
The glorified bodies we are going to receive will radiate the glory of God. It is these bodies that would reveal our real nature as sons of God (Rom 8:23).
This body of flesh is limited in its ability to walk in the reality of the divine life. The more yielded and filled with the Holy Spirit we are, the more this body of flesh would be able to walk in a foretaste of the glory to come because the Holy Spirit quickens our mortal bodies. It is only through the help of the indwelling Holy Spirit that you can truly subdue the power of the flesh.
