Eph 4:14 (NKJV) That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting

When Mrs. Ekubo realized that she was still a baby in the faith, she had been a Christian for over 15 years. The problem has been that since the day she believed, she had only received from the ministry of her pastor and no one else. She couldn’t grow into the fullness of Christ because her spirit wasn’t feeding on a balanced spiritual diet.
According to God’s plan, every Christian will have to receive from the ministry of at least two people for him to grow into the fullness of Christ. That is why the church government is made up of more than one elder. Jesus did not send his disciples one by one but two by two.
One person usually occupies a single ministry office in the kingdom. He is either an apostle, a pastor and teacher, a prophet, or an evangelist. He cannot be two of these at the same time. But you would need to receive from all the dimensions [of Christ’s gift] at some point in your walk with God.
We see from today’s Bible text that Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, were given to equip and edify the church so that Christians can grow from being children tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. One sign that a person has not really grown spiritually is that he will still be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.
Go into today knowing that God did not plan for you to receive all your spiritual nutrition from one source. One way you can gain from someone’s ministry is by reading his book or listening to his sermons.
