Psalms 121:7-8 (KJV)
7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Clarence had a very bad dream concerning his journey. He was to travel through a very dangerous road and was now reluctant,  but he had to go on the journey. He had prayed about the journey and knew he was to travel,  but fear was now lurking in his heart because of the terrible things he had heard concerning that road; and the bad dream he had.

Because he understood spiritual things,  he knew he needed to get rid of that fear before he embarks on the journey,  so he took some time to pray about it. As he prayed,  he remembered today’s Bible verses and started reciting them again and again. He did this until he conquered the fear in his heart. This was the weapon the Lord gave him to cast out every fear. His journey turned out very smooth and fruitful.

God has given us great and magnificent promises, and through them, we are partakers of the divine nature,  haven escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (see 2 Peter 1:3). It is through the promises of God that we partake of His divine nature. When we become aware of any of God’s promises and believe it,  it creates hope(a sure expectation) in our hearts,  and faith is the substance of things hoped for. It is through faith that we receive things from God. Even your salvation was received through faith, [f]or by grace are ye saved,  through faith (see Ephesians 2:8).

Anytime there is doubt in your heart concerning the good destiny that God has planned for you,  conqueror it with the word of God. You will have to be consistent and persistent because faith works with patience. Those who inherit the promises do so through faith and patience (see Hebrews 6:12).

The word of God is our attack weapon(see Ephesians 6:17). It is also a booster of faith(which is the shield against the fiery darts of the wicked), for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God(Romans 10:17).

Go into today remembering to conquer every fear and insecurity with the promises of God. For every militating word of fear that may have found its way into your heart,  there is an opposing word of faith from the Lord. Find it and let it dominate your heart. This is how we appropriate our victory.

Prayer: Thank you Lord, for Your thoughts for me are good and not evil. Please increase my faith and help me appropriate all that You have planned or me. Amen.
