Matthew 15:36 (KJV)And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
“How on earth do you expect me to give out of the little I earn? My needs are almost ten times what I earn; I have always borrowed to meet up. Pastor, that your message on giving is for those who have plenty!”
Luke 6:38 (KJV)
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
There are certain laws that govern existence; one of such is the law of sowing and reaping, planting, and harvesting –giving and receiving.
Now, there are many things that you can give, things such as your time, money, materials, and the fruits of your lips which are praises or thanksgiving to God. When Jesus was confronted with the need to feed the multitude and all he had was the little bread and fish, he offered it to God first by giving thanks before giving it to the disciples. The result was multiplication.
Anything offered to God in thanksgiving would multiply. Give whatever you are giving out of a thankful heart and God will multiply it.
Go into today knowing that you will receive when you give, harvest when you plant, and reap when you sow. However, it will be multiplied when you give, sow, or plant with a thankful heart.
