Romans 3:10-12 (KJV), “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
God created man in his image and likeness, he intended that man will remain forever dependent on him, but man lost his connection with God and was thrown out of the garden of God to wander and fend for himself. This left a vacuum, a vacuum that no man, god, or religion has been able to fill. Man does not know how to find God, he does not know how to be holy, nor does he know how to please God.
God being merciful, sent his son Jesus Christ to show us the way to the Father (God).
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 KJV.
Then, he sent us his spirit, the Holy Spirit so we can be Holy.
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:16-18 KJV
So, both the problem of finding and pleasing God and my being holy has all been solved. It is now your responsibility to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and to rely on His spirit to help you please him.
Go into today knowing that you can be holy and you can be pleasing to God if you submit to the spirit of God; the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I submit to you, please lead me by your spirit.
