But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceed out of the mouth of God.

God’s word is powerful. People have had testimonies about their lives being changed by single verses in the Bible. Some have had life-changing moments from single messages, chapters, stories or even Bible books. However, have we considered what Jesus meant when he said: “man shall live by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God�? – Every word. The Bible is a reasonable large book with verses that cover practically every aspect of human life. Jesus is saying every word is important for man to live by.

While it is great to have life-changing experiences from verses and sections of the scriptures, we must always remember to return to the bible for more. A Christian should never be tired of learning the scripture until he has grasped every word that God has to offer in the bible. This is indeed impossible in one lifetime. As even the apostle Paul admitted to wanting to know more. Philippians 3:10 (KJV) “that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection…�

Go into today with the consciousness that God wants us to live our lives according to every word that proceeds from Him. Let the humility of what is yet to be learned [from the Bible] guide us even into a deeper personal study of scriptures and prayers.

Continue to learn of Him fellow student of Christ. Remain blessed.
