His Will, My Will

Matthew 6:10 (KJV) Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Jesus knew that men have their own will yet He taught His disciples to pray, ‘‘ thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven”. By implication, He taught them to find their will in God’s will; He expects the same from you.

In Psalms 40:7-8 David wrote, ‘‘ lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, o my God…’’. You are truly successful only when you have become all that God wants you to be.

Did God not give me a will? Someone may ask. Yes, he did and you must willingly hand over yourself to him, this is the only way to getting true success.

Has God given you dreams, visions, and prophecies that seem not to be coming to pass? If yes, kindly answer this question. Am I doing His will or my own will? You see, the promises God gave you were all enshrined in His will and unless His will becomes your will, you may never see the promises come to pass.

Go into today knowing that the end of all struggle will be for you to surrender to God’s will. God’s grace flows in the direction of His will. God Himself will be the one working in you once you agree to will and do according to His pleasure (Philippians 2:13).

Pray this way: Lord, I surrender all to you; spirit, soul, and body. In Jesus name, amen.
