Matthew 7:7 (NET) “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.
Think of it this way: God multiplies His grace when we ask and seek. He doesn’t expect us to go through life on our own strength, but with His help. This help comes when we persistently ask, seek, and knock. We’ve discussed asking and seeking before.
Now, let’s focus on the ‘knocking’ part. Jesus, in His teachings about receiving from God, shared a story of a man who got assistance from his friend at night because he kept knocking on the door (see Luke 11:5-13). The key here is consistency. It means doing what’s right and not giving up even when we don’t see immediate results.
For instance, many of you now read Streamglobe Devotional. What you might not know is that this work began back in 2012, with just a few friends reading it. Some advised us to stop sending the messages, but we persisted. Today, feedback shows that thousands across many countries read Streamglobe Devotional. We desired this from day one, but the crucial factor was knocking (consistency). And we’re still knocking.
Is there something you’re asking the Lord to grow and develop in your life? His word for you today is to stay consistent in doing what’s right. He’ll bring the growth as you keep knocking. If you’re on the wrong path, He’ll guide you.
Remember this throughout the day: Stay consistent in doing what’s right before God.
Confession: I am a child of God. Life responds positively to me. I’m always a victor, never a victim. In Jesus Name. Amen.”
