And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” INTRODUCTION God never reveals things to his servants just to satisfy their curiosity or to excite their imaginations. For every revelation there is an attendant instruction or warning. In examining the last days, we will seek to glean some of the instructions left us in the scriptures so they can provide light for guidance in these last days. Remember, everyone can enjoy a good story, but only those who heed the morals of the story truly benefit. As we examine the scriptures along these lines, it will supply lamp to our feet and light to our paths. Let us take this journey together through the scriptures. DISCUSSIONS Instructions concerning the end time. What instructions are given in the passages below? A) Read: Acts 2:17 & Acts 1:8; Matt 24:14; 2 Peter 3:9 B. Read: Mark 13:4-5; Matt 24:11, 23-24; 2 Pet 3:17 C) Read: Mark 13:35-36; Matt 25:13; Luke 21:34-36; 1 Thess 5:6-10 D) Read: Matt 24:6; 2 Thess 2:2. E) Read: Matt 24:24:13; Luke 21:19 F) Read: 2 Peter 3:11 & 14; 1 John 3:2-3; Rev 3:11 CONCLUSION The last days culminates into the day of the Lord. The day of the Lord is a glorious day every believer should look forward to. It is the day of our glorious hope. Therefore in the words of Apostle Paul when speaking to the Corinthian church of this day said, ‘So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord’ (1 Cor 15:58).

Join Via Zoom Here: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/536206651 Colossians 1:13 (ISV) God has rescued us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of the Son whom he loves A kingdom is said to be the domain of a king, with a unique language, principles, culture, basically, a way of life that governs the people in that domain. When a person is born again (Read John 3:3,5) he is translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Christ and he now has to unlearn the ways of the former kingdom and learn the ways of his new kingdom. This can only take place by the constant renewal of your mind through the word of God. To function properly and manifest the ways and culture of this kingdom, such a person must operate by the manual (God’s word) and live by the Spirit consistently on a daily basis — being led by the Holy Spirit (see Ephesians 4:3). The Spirit breathes upon the word and grants understanding and grace to enable us live by the dictates of the word. 2 Peter 3:18 says, But grow in spiritual strength (Grace) and become better acquainted with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, while  2 Corinthians 3:18b (NLT) says  …and as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him. Go into today remembering that spending time with the word and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit is indispensable if we must grow and manifest the God-life we have received. Prayer: Lord. increase my hunger for the word and intimacy and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Want to be saved? Click here: streamglobe.org/33 — George .E. INTRODUCTION I remember how many preachers predicted that the year 2000 (the beginning of a new mellenium) was the year that the Lord Jesus will return. Since the early church, there has been a lot of talk about the last days and the coming of the Lord, some correct and scriptural, while others are simply wrong (see 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3). Whenever there are major disasters; plagues, wars, or any other thing that upsets the delicate balance of human life on a large scale, preachers begin to talk more about the last days and how those events may be the beginning of the end. Today, there’s currently a pandemic that has affected every country on the earth (either physically or economically) , and there are so many theories out there about how this could be the signs of the coming of the Antichrist or even worse. This study seeks to provide a scriptural perspective on the last days, signs of the times, and how the believer is expected to respond. This is an interactive inductive Bible study, so we are all expected to discuss this together and let the scriptures lead us to our definitive inferences. DISCUSSION A) When did the last days begin? What marked the beginning of the last days? Read: Hebrews 1:1-2, Acts 2:17 B. What are some of the positive happenings and signs of the last days? Acts 2:17, Hebrews 1:1-2, Matthew 24:14 C) What are some of the negative happenings and signs of the last days? 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 2 Peter 3:3-4, Matthew 24:4-12 D) What will bring the end of the last days? Matthew 24:29-31, Revelation 20:1-4 E) What is the believer expected to be doing during this period of the last days? Matthew 24:14, Romans 10:13-14, Matthew 24:45-47, Luke 19:13 Conclusion We have seen that the last days began with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and it will end with the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every believer is expected to live ready by being occupied with the kingdom assignment the Lord has given him. We shall subsequently study in more detail certain signs of the last days including the coming of the Antichrist, the mark of the beast, and other specific signs of the Lord’s second coming. Don’t Deceive Yourself

Join via Zoom here: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/536206651 James 1:22 (KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. When Linda started attending church services, she was very lucky to be attending a church assembly where the sincere word of God was preached and taught. Because of this, she understood that the way she was living her life was contrary to the will of God, but she continued to live that way and console herself with words like ‘no one is perfect, we are all saved by grace and not our works’. She told herself words like these while she continued to live like an unbeliever. She didn’t know that it was only herself she was deceiving and not God. She assumed she had a relationship with God, but did not know that she was still an unbeliever. Believers are known by their fruits (character) and not by their confessions alone (see Matt 7:16). It was when she got very sick, was about to die and had an out-of-body experience that she realized she was only deceiving herself all these years. She saw that she was going straight to hell, but her mother’s intercession brought her back. One of the worst forms of deceit is self-deceit. This happens when a person has come to sincerely believe a lie. This is bound to happen to those who hear the word of God but continue in their own ways that are contrary to the will of God revealed by His word. Like Linda, they would only end up deceiving themselves, thinking they are near to God while they are very far from Him. The devil who is the master deceiver loves this form of self-deceit and can even orchestrate events to help facilitate it. Go into today remembering that God is not mocked and His standard remains unchanged; let everyone who names the name of God depart from iniquity (see Galatians 6:7, 2 Timothy 2:19). Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me to be a doer of your word and not a hearer only. Deliver me from all forms of self-deceit, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Want to be saved? The Word of God

Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piecing even to the division of the soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. After receiving Jesus as his Lord, Jay was taught about how the Bible is the word of God and God’s word never fails. He learned to search out portions of the Bible that addressed his needs and how to recite those portions until his needs are solved, but to his surprise, this didn’t work. One day, in frustration he exclaimed ‘‘the Bible can’t possibly be the word of God! I know that God is Almighty, and I also know that God’s words cannot fail. If these words are His words, why are they not working for me?’’ Many today have found themselves in situations where it didn’t appear that their use of the word worked for them. They’ve confessed verses upon verses of scripture, but no result. To be free from such confusion, you have to know that the word of God is living. Whenever you separate the word from the spirit and life, what is left is literature. Every child of God must, therefore, learn how to use the written word to connect with the Spirit of faith that inspired it. Before a word in scripture can profit you, it must go beyond mere words and letters. It must connect you with the spirit of the word  (John 6:63). The word is sealed, and unless it is unsealed you won’t get much profit from it. Unless the word is revealed to you, it is not yours, and it may yield no result for you. “…but those things which are revealed belong unto us…’’ Deut. 29:29.  Isaiah 29:11-12 (KJV) reads, ‘‘And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: and the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.’’ The Holy Spirit gives life to the word. He is the one who reveals (unseals) it. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that written scriptures become the word of God [which cannot fail]. Go into today knowing that situations do not respond to the written word without the Spirit of the word. Situations respond to the word of God which is empowered by the Spirit of faith. Pray the prayer of David, ‘’ open thou my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy [word]” (Psalms 119:18). Not yet saved? Might Produces Understanding

Ephesians 3:16-19 (KJV) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. After Gbemi accepted the Lord Jesus, she submitted to discipleship and was connected to Mrs. Anderson by the church’s evangelism department. As Mrs. Anderson started to disciple Gbemi and teach her the way of the Lord, she observed that there were so many things Gbemi did not understand, and it appeared as if she could not understand them. Gbemi could not understand why she was to love her enemies, she could not understand God’s love for her even though she believed it. Because Mrs. Anderson had experience in discipling people, she knew that what Gbemi needed the most was prayers. She would spend quality time each day praying for Gbemi, and her major prayer was that the Lord would strengthen her with might in the inner man. Mrs. Anderson understood that strength in the inner man would give Gbemi the ability and capacity for greater faith so that she would be able to be filled with the presence of God in the measure that can transform her and help her understand the kingdom of God. We all have measures of the indwelling Holy Spirit. The day you accepted the Lord Jesus, you received a measure. The day you got baptized in the Holy Ghost, you received a higher measure. The more the words of Christ dwell in you richly, the more your measure increases (see Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:18-20). As the Lord strengthens you by His Spirit with might in your inner man, this increases your capacity for faith, and thus your capacity to be filled with the fullness of God. It takes spiritual strength to host higher dimensions of the presence, glory, and power of God. Notice that in today’s Bible verses, the result of might in the inner man is that Christ dwells in our hearts richly, and the product of this is the ability to comprehend the dimensions of the love of Christ. One of the easily discernible signs that your spiritual strength is increasing is that your level of spiritual understanding would also be increasing. The commandments of the Lord would now be easy for you to obey and no more seem grievous (see 1 John 5:3). Go into today praying with today’s Bible verses. Ask the Lord to strengthen you with might in the inner man by His Spirit so that your capacity to manifest the realities and power of the divine life would be upgraded. Use this time to pray for those who you disciple too. Confession: I am strengthened by the Holy Spirit with might in my inner man. My capacity to express the glory of God is increasing. Hallelujah! Spiritual Liberty 4

John 8:31-32 (NKJV) Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” When David visited Chide and shared the message of the gospel with him, for the first time in his life, Chide understood it. He was so touched that he began to cry when he realized the sacrifice Jesus made in order to save him. He accepted Christ as his Lord and savior that day. But sadly, Chide did not continue in the word of God because he was not committed to any Christian fellowship where he would hear the word of God and grow. He attended a church where there was very little teaching of the word. Even though Chide now believed in the Lord Jesus, he was not yet free. He was still a slave to sin and to demonic limitations. The reason he was not yet free was that he was not yet a disciple indeed. The way people become disciples of Jesus is by applying themselves to the word of God and growing thereby. The Lord Jesus commanded His apostles to go into the world, preach, and make disciples of all nations (Matt 29:19). People who believe are to be discipled. When people believe in the Lord Jesus, it is important that they are discipled. This is the way chains and yokes of sin are broken forever. Go into today knowing that after believing in the Lord Jesus, you must abide in His word and let it change the way you think (Rom 12:2). This is the only way to receive and maintain true spiritual liberty. —Abraham Damilola Arigi Yearly Bible Reading: Genesis 32-35 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe is nondenominational. Be Welled Balanced, Be Vigilant

1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) Be well balanced [temperate, sober of mind], be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that the enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. An adversary is an opponent, one seeking to defeat you in a cause. We have an adversary in the devil who has had a whole lot of experience in deceit and seduction. He is always poised to subvert men from God’s will. It is particularly easy to slack in vigilance when faced with a crisis. It is why people, when angry, tend to say and act in ways that they would later regret. Words they would dare not utter they speak, things they would dare not do, they do. This is not limited to times of anger, but also in times of great emotional upheaval, people tend to act more from emotions that from good reasoning. God is reminding us today to take heed and be vigilant. Don’t relax your grip on God’s word and on your faith. Be well balanced. Keep your emotions in check. Don’t join the bandwagon, don’t act or speak flippantly. Don’t cast off restraint. Apostle James had very useful instructions to this end. “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” (James 1:19). This is the time to meditate much more on the word of God, to fill your mind with godly messages and faith-filled words. This is the time to stand strong in the faith. Remember that faith only exists in the presence of God’s word. Romans 10:17 says that ‘faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God’. Build yourself in your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost. Here is how the Message Bible puts it, “Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.” (1 Peter 5:8-11). Pray like this: Thank you Father for your word is true. I am kept and preserved by your word. My heart is fixed on you and lips kept from guile. Amen. Not yet saved?
