Proverbs 16:25 (KJV)
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
It was God Himself that gave Joseph dreams about his future, but instead of seeing the dream come to pass easily, he went through very tough and difficult times. He was thrown into a pit, sold as a slave, lied against, imprisoned and abandoned. He, however, came out of it all and saw his dream come to pass because he never gave up God trusting in God.
Exodus 13:17-18 ‘KJV) ‘And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: [18] But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.’
We must learn to know God as Father, and that He always wants the best for us. If He leads us through tough moments, He’ll be in it with us to carry us through those moments.
God knows what we can and cannot bear, therefore, it is wise to trust Him to lead us. There may be ways that seem easy and now, but these ways are filled with wars that will make life unbearable to the extent that we may lose our faith. Because of this, God, often times would lead us through other paths. But because we cannot see the wars that are ahead, there is a tendency to murmur.
Dare to trust God, dare to follow Him and you will never face wars too difficult for you to overcome.
Pray this way: Father, I know that you love me. I commit my ways to you and ask that you lead me. Lord, I dare to follow you.
