THE FAME OF HIS NAME 4

Download Audio Version☞ bit.ly/audio1742 Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. I visited an orphanage and realized for the first time that I had not been thankful enough for the gift of a good [earthly] father. In the orphanage, I met a four-year-old orphaned girl with a terminal heart disease. But despite her condition, she exuded the grace and confidence of one who had a good father, mother, or both. It was an orphanage but it felt as though I was in the presence of one from an aristocratic or royal family. I felt like adopting her. Many have been hurt and are in need of healing because of experiences they’ve had with bad fathers, or because they cannot even relate with the concept of proper fatherhood. You may not have had a father at all, you may be one, you may have had a bad one or the one you have never planned to have you. Regardless of all these scenarios, if you believe in the Lord Jesus(accept His Lordship over your life), you will be adopted into the family of the everlasting Father (John 1:12-13, Rom 8:15). Having the last name of the world’s most powerful president or billionaire pales deeply in comparison to The everlasting Father’s name you’ll inherit (Eph 3:15). You will be called God’s righteous one, light, God’s temple, etc. and as you live your life as a reflection of these names, doors will unlock and things will align in your favor (2 Corinthians 6:14-16, Heb 10:38, Ps 16:6). Go into today reminded that God loves you and wants to have a joyous father-child relationship with you. (Acts 4:12, Luke 15:17-24). Prayer: Lord, help me live under the Lordship of Christ and walk in Your plan for me to be your child indeed. Amen. —Chibo E.C. THE FAME OF HIS NAME 3

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. The dictionary defines the word mighty as possessing great and impressive power or strength, especially due to size while the word almighty means having complete power or being omnipotent. This title is reserved for God alone. It is wonderful to know that the name of Jesus is also The mighty God. It then means that when He manifests in this name on your behalf, no one and nothing can defeat you. It doesn’t matter how hopeless your life may seem, He is mighty to save you (Ps 24:8, Zep 3:17). One of the greatest displays of God’s mighty power was when He raised Jesus Christ from the dead. As believers, we have received the same Spirit behind that great power (Eph 1:19-20, Rom 8:11). This power is far-reaching enough to sustain the universe and is close enough to save you (Heb 1:3, John 3:16). Many have been deceived into believing for less than what Christ died for. His death and resurrection opened a way for us by His name to do mighty works, but sadly, this is not often the case. One major reason for this is unbelief, and according to the bible, its presence limits the release of God’s mighty power (Ps 78:41, Mk 6:5-6a KJV). The only cure for this is the Word (Rom10:17). Go into today reminded that God is sovereign and His name is mighty to deliver. But unless you see yourself in the light of who you are in Christ and act accordingly by faith, you’d be limiting the mighty manifestation of His power (Judges 6:11-16). —Chibo E.C. REMAIN IN THE LORD

John 15:7 (NET) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. After Chinedu accepted the Lord Jesus, there was the temptation for him to go back to the world and not remain or abide in the Lord. But he read John 15 and realized that in order for him to be fruitful, he had to remain in the Lord. He knew this meant he had to leave his friends who were a bad influence on his faith. He also realized this meant he had to submit to the Lord and let the word of the Lord rule his life and even his business practices. Many people in today’s church are not fruitful and are lacking in spiritual might and power because they are not abiding in the Lord. Even though they attend church services, they are still in the world and not in Christ because they are still dominated by the principles of the world (1 John 2:16). You cannot abide in Christ and continue in the principles of this world. Those who remain with the Lord are those that have a relationship with Him. They care about how the Lord feels and seek to please Him in all things. The word of God will abide in them. Because the Word is living and active, it would renew their minds and transform them into the image of Christ (Rom 12:2, 2 Corinthians 3:18). At this point, whatever they want would align with God’s will, so whatever they ask will be given to them. Go into today remembering that it is only those who abide in the Lord that will be fruitful. They are those who heaven responds to their prayer. Ask the Lord to help you abide in Him and be fruitful. —Pastor SD Abraham Bible in 1 Year: Daniel 7-12 (in today’s audio) To start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio on your WhatsApp, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/Am0twb9Vvz69f6T1pAUyom or Telegram Group☞ https://t.me/streamglobe1 Not yet saved? THE FAME OF HIS NAME 2

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Charles believed that when he found the woman he wanted to marry, he was set for marital bliss. Right away he met with the girl’s parents and proceeded in a haste to do the wedding. However, in failing to obtain some much needed premarital counsel, months into the wedding he and his wife were at the edge of divorce after several quarrels. It took God’s grace and several marriage counseling sessions to save his marriage. A counselor is one who gives advice for the purpose of guidance or one who represents as a legal defense. Jesus manifested this name (Rabbi) on earth as he taught and defended his disciples from attacks by the Pharisees, etc (John 1:38, Matt 12:1-8). Ignorance kills, but through counsel, one can avoid errors that lead to disaster (Hosea 4:6, Pro 11:14). However, not all counsels are of God. For this reason, it is very expedient that the right counsel is received at all times. This can only be found through the Person of the Holy Spirit who is sent in Jesus’ name to be our Counselor (John 14:26, Rom 8:26). Therefore, for everything in life including the things we think are trivial, we must seek the counsel of the Spirit so that we can know the will of God and avoid walking in error. Go into today knowing that the best counsel you will ever receive is to make Jesus your Lord and Savior. As you do so and abide in Him,  your victory in life is assured. —Chibo E.C. THE FAME OF HIS NAME 1

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Right from the announcement of His birth, through to His resurrection, Jesus was and is still a wonder. There are several accounts that left all in awe as He manifested the name “Wonderful” both in the Old and New Testament. In order to do the miraculous which defeats the enemy, the Lord manifests in this name (Exo 3:20, Job 9:10, Ps 77:14, Acts 4:30). In life’s overwhelming situations where the only way out is through an act of wonder, knowing Jesus’s name as ‘Wonderful’ becomes very expedient. Unfortunately, many in ignorance still use His name in vain (fear or jest). But for us who believe, the power of attorney in His name to do wonders has been given (Exo 20:7, Mk 16:17-18). It’s good to note that wonders aren’t random occurrences based on any man’s choosing or by any particular pattern but they’re events by God, suspending natural laws in order to make His name known. However, our anticipation and preparedness in faith are keys that help us as vessels to facilitate their occurrence. God is glorious in holiness and fearful in praises. If we honor Him with our lives in holiness and praise, rather than in sin; murmuring and ingratitude, His wonders will follow us. (Exo 15:11, Josh 3:5). Go into today, trusting God concerning that seemingly hopeless situation, and as you do so living in holiness and praise, He will in His perfect time, manifest wonders to transform your destiny for His glory. —Chibo E.C. THE MARK OF BELIEVERS

John 13:34-35 (NKJV) A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” When Omolara arrived in New York City for the first time, she was stranded because she couldn’t reach her cousin who was to pick her up from the airport. She arrived 24 hours earlier than scheduled. Because of some issues with her bank, to her surprise, she couldn’t spend her money because it was still held up in her country’s local currency. When it became clear to Omolara that she was going to be stranded in the airport with very little money, she called her pastor and told him of her plight. Thankfully, her pastor knew some brethren in that city that he could call. One of them had to leave her office early and drive for three hours to the airport to go and pick up Omolara. When Omolara’s cousin eventually got through to her 24 hours later, he was surprised to see that she was already comfortable and well settled. Because of the genuine love that he saw among Christians that day, he eventually became a believer. The Warren’s took Omolara into their home because through the testimony of a Christian brother they knew, they were sure she too was a sister. ‘I was a stranger, and you invited me in’ is one of the things the Lord will say to His sheep on that day (see Matt 25:34-40). Christians are people who love each other. It is in our divine DNA (1 John 4:7-8). Go into today remembering that as far as heaven is concerned, anyone who is truly born of God will love his Christian brethren (see 1 John 3:10). —SD Abraham Bible in 1 Year: I Chronicles 5-9 (in today’s audio) To start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio on your WhatsApp, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/Am0twb9Vvz69f6T1pAUyom or Telegram Group☞ https://t.me/streamglobe1 Download Semons Here☞ streamglobe.org/34 Streamglobe is nondenominational. ABOUNDING IN FAITH

Colossians 2:6 – 7 (KJV) As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. In Luke 17:11-19 Jesus encountered ten lepers and cleansed them by His word. He started the healing process and expected them to continue in step with Him. This He did in order for them to learn an invaluable lesson (concerning abounding faith) as they sought wholeness from leprosy. But none of them passed this test except one. What went wrong? Our walk with God must begin, continue and conclude through faith (Rom 1:17). We can’t expect to enjoy the fullness of God’s blessings if we start with faith but switch and try to finish in the flesh. The Bible calls that foolishness (Gal 3:3). In desperation, many call on the Lord as the author of their faith but fail to continue in step with Him as the Finisher of their faith (Heb 12:2). Among other reasons, they give up or try to help God when they don’t see immediate signs of relief. Unlike the nine lepers, we must abound in faith –through Thanksgiving. It means that the period between when we ask God and when we see manifestations of our answer must be filled with praise and thanksgiving. This is one sure way to defeat the enemy and not truncate (but enjoy) the fullness of God’s blessings (Lk 17:15-16). Regardless of what you’re seeing at the moment concerning that which you’re believing God for, go into today with thanksgiving and praise in your heart, and as you do this, Jesus the Finisher of your faith will raise you up in righteousness and make you whole (Luke 17:19). —Chibo E.C. CHRISTIAN ARBITRATION 3

Download Audio Version☞ bit.ly/audio1735 1 Corinthians 6:7 (NET) The fact that you have lawsuits among yourselves demonstrates that you have already been defeated. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Rather than go to court, Ian and Ronald decided to go for church arbitration even though a lot of money was at stake. Ronald particularly did not know if the pastor would understand all the dynamics of the matter because on the surface, what he was requesting looked outrageous if one did not understand the dynamics of their business. But instead of taking their disputes to court, they would rather be cheated than do anything that could potentially hinder the advancement of the Gospel among unbelievers. They were already known everywhere as Christians. As believers, we are a people called out and set apart unto the Lord. We are not of this world and our biggest advertisement to the world is our genuine love for one another (see John 13:35). If you see two brothers of the same household taking each other to court over disputes, it would be hard to believe that there is true love in that family. What joins us as believers is stronger than flesh and blood– It is eternal. If you would not take your biological brother to court but rather be cheated because he is your brother, why should you be willing to take your Christian brother to court? When Christians take their disputes outside to unbelievers, it is a result of not rightly discerning the body of Christ to which they belong. The same applies to those who favor tribe and race over faith in Christ.Go into today remembering that things you do would either cause your faith to grow or to wane. Rightly discerning the body of Christ is the secret to walking in the authority and glory of the body of Christ. But many have lived miserable lives, and some have even fallen asleep because they did not rightly discern the body. (1 Corinthians 11:29-30). Prayer: Lord, help me to always rightly discern your body. —SD Abraham Bible in 1 Year: I Timothy 1-3 (in today’s audio) To start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio on your WhatsApp, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/Am0twb9Vvz69f6T1pAUyom or Telegram Group☞ https://t.me/streamglobe1 Not sure you’re saved? CHRISTIAN ARBITRATION 2

Download Audio Version☞ bit.ly/audio1734 1 Corinthians 6:3-5 (NET) Do you not know that we will judge angels? Why not ordinary matters! So if you have ordinary lawsuits, do you appoint as judges those who have no standing in the church? I say this to your shame! Is there no one among you wise enough to settle disputes between fellow Christians? A certain influential Christian brother started keeping a mistress. With time, his wife found out and challenged him about it. But he was not sorry; he had become very proud because of his phenomenal success in business. Instead of taking the matter to court to file for a divorce, his wife took the matter to the leadership of their church. They summoned him, but he had become too busy to respond to the summons of the church. After this brother had shown that he no longer had regard for the authority of the church, they decided to break fellowship with him and treat him like an unbeliever (see Matthew 18:16-17). Three years later, all his very successful businesses had crashed and he was now in great debt.  He was also in serious police trouble and now needed the help of his wife. His life was full of reproach and it was clear to everyone that his troubles were a result of the Church’s judgment. One reason Christians are tempted take each other to court [before unbelievers] is because they know that the judgment of a civil court would be enforced by the government of the land. But they fail to realize that when judgment is made by a living Church, it would be enforced by the most powerful government in the universe—Heaven enforces the judgments of the church, for whatever the church binds on earth is bound in heaven(see Matthew 18:18).   Go into today remembering that no government on the earth has as much authority as the church of Christ. —Pastor SD Abraham Bible in 1 Year: John 3-4 (in today’s audio) To start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio on your WhatsApp, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/Am0twb9Vvz69f6T1pAUyom or Telegram Group☞ https://t.me/streamglobe1 Not sure you’re saved? CHRISTIAN ARBITRATION 1

Download Audio Version☞ bit.ly/audio1733 1 Corinthians 6:3-5 (NET) Do you not know that we will judge angels? Why not ordinary matters! So if you have ordinary lawsuits, do you appoint as judges those who have no standing in the church? I say this to your shame! Is there no one among you wise enough to settle disputes between fellow Christians?Ian and Ronald both started an ICT company when they were undergraduates on campus. After seven years, the company had grown to become one of the top 100 companies in their country. After Ian got married, he decided it was time for him to go solo. Because Ronald felt cheated by this decision, he made it very difficult for Ian to leave the company. Ronald insisted that in leaving the company, Ian was sabotaging the company and couldn’t leave with 50% of the company’s assets and equity. Ian, on the other hand, wasn’t seeing things that way. He felt that since he owned 50% of the company, he was entitled to his 50% of the company’s assets and equity. Both of them strongly held to their positions and couldn’t seem to reach a compromise. Because both of them were true believers who loved the Lord, they both knew that taking each other to court was not the way to go. Because they attended different churches, they decided to take the matter before a pastor they both respected. This was the pastor that discipled them during their university days. When they told him about the issue, he called on another Christian elder (who was an experienced business school professor) to be part of the arbitration. Both Ian and Ronald agreed that they would abide by whatever judgment the pastor gave. This case involved billions of dollars. Go into today knowing that it is a shame for two believers to take their disputes before unbelievers. Doing so makes it much more difficult for us to witness to these same unbelievers. Remember that the gospel of the kingdom is the most important thing going on in the world today. Our minor issues should never be made to stand in the way of advancement of the gospel. —Pastor SD Abraham Bible in 1 Year: Daniel 1-6 (in today’s audio) To start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio on your WhatsApp, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/Am0twb9Vvz69f6T1pAUyom or Telegram Group☞ https://t.me/streamglobe1 Not sure you’re saved?
