Only Possible By God’s Power
đAudio Version Here â bit.ly/aud1867 Mark 10:27 (NKJV)But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”Read Mark 10:24-26 One reason Froid found it difficult to accept the gospel was because he did not think it was possible for him to be saved. Being extremely intelligent, he had done his calculations and seen that salvation for him was practically impossible. (But he was wrong because he did not factor in the power of God. He only factored in human willpower). He knew that truly believing in the Lord Jesus meant he would forsake his life and livelihood– a life he had spent very many years building. His biggest accomplishments in life were things done in direct rebellion to the kingdom of God, and he knew he would have to forsake all that if he wanted the salvation of Christ. When Jesus said that those who trust in their riches cannot inherit the kingdom of God (Mark 10:24), it was such a revolutionary statement that He had to encourage His disciples by making the statement in todayâs Bible verse–Salvation is only possible with God’s help (Grace). Before anybody can enter the kingdom of God, he must put his trust completely in the Lord Jesus (even this is done through the help of God). Have you seen the way little children completely trust their parents and have no other option but their parents? That’s how we must trust in God in order to partake in His kingdom and power (see Mark 10:15). One sign that a person has truly received God’s kingdom is that they would walk in the power of Christ (Mark 16:17-18). The most remarkable and powerful thing this power does is to free us from the power of sin. This power also performs miracles and solves problems, etc. Go into today remembering that because of faith in Christ and Christ alone, you will inherit Godâs Kingdom for all eternity. Members of One Body
đAudio Version Here â bit.ly/aud1866 1 Corinthians 12:15-16 (NKJV) If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? On social media, Ugochukwu was very fond of criticizing church leaders. Even though he was a believer, because he was not called into the ministry of teaching or preaching (all five-fold ministry offices involve teaching and/or preaching), he did not properly reckon himself as a part of the body but felt it was OK for him to stand apart from the church and criticize it publicly. Through his actions, he was saying âI am not of the bodyâ. One of the loudest ways a believer can say âI am not of the bodyâ is by joining unbelievers and enemies of Christ to publicly malign and criticize the church and its ministers. This post is in no way giving leeway to ministers who err, but is a reminder to believers that many [trumped up] attacks on erring ministers have an underlining agenda to destroy the credibility of the body of Christ as a whole. It is foolishness to be part of this as a member of the body. Not being a preacher, Ugochukwu didn’t feel like a part of the body of Christ the way he should, but this didn’t change the fact that through faith in Christ, he was indeed a part of the body. It took him time to realize that his habit of publicly criticizing ministers of the body of Christ was a major limiting factor in his walk with the Lord. He could not walk in divine health and healing because of this. Go into today remembering that through faith in Christ Jesus, you are a member of the body of Christ. Do not be tempted to feel you are less a member than those who are at the forefront of ministry. Some of the unseen parts of the body are the most important. Prayer: Ask the Lord the help you rightly discern His body and draw from all the benefits that His body provides. âPst. Abraham Damilola Arigi Streamglobe is nondenominational. Living Sensibly
đAudio Version Here â bit.ly/aud1865 Luke 15:17-18 (NIV) “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. The story here is about a son who took his inheritance to a far country and squandered it. Then the Bible recorded that he âcame back to his sensesâ and said âI will go back to my fatherâ. A question Iâd like you to consider is âwhen did he lose his senses?â It wasnât when he squandered his inheritance; it wasnât when he came to a far country; it was the very moment he thought he could live his life outside the guidance and supervision of his father, that was the moment he got it all mixed up. We donât judge right and wrong by outcome; we judge right and wrong by the revealed word of God. So even if this son had gone into a far country and invested his inheritance in a profitable business and grew wealthy, it still would not justify his leaving his father. The specie of humans called the Christian, (or the believer, or the New Creation), only exist in Christ [2nd Cor 5:17] (also seen in the epistles as âin Himâ [Eph 1:4] or âin Whomâ [Col 1:14]). Outside His saving grace we are damned; outside His Lordship we are lost. Regardless of the physical outcome, life lived outside the revealed word and will of God is a life lived senselessly. Some decisions taken outside Godâs will might look rational and sensible to the world, but that is understandable, âThe unbeliever does not receive the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to himâŚâ [1 Cor 2:14]. Bible says in Luke 15:17, 18 âwhen he came to himself, he said ⌠I will arise and go to my Fatherâ for when we desert our Fatherâs wisdom, we lose ourselves. Go into today resolved to make bible sense by constantly, continuously and consistently walking in the will of God. âIkechukwu Mpama Streamglobe is nondenominational. Innovations and Discoveries
đAudio Version Here â bit.ly/aud1864 Job 32:8 (KJV) But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. Growing up in Nigeria, I was told that the reason the Americans had so many innovations and discoveries was because they had used their witchcraft to do well. This made me believe that there is a level of greatness that can never be achieved except by the assistance of the devil and I have seen this mindset play out with other African brothers who often consult Witchdoctors for power, popularity, and acceptance. Most of them are cut short in the prime of their lives. A story was told of a young Nigerian musician who became so popular and rich in his early twenties because he had consulted some magical powers for fame and wealth but died before he was thirty. In his case, the inspiration to sing came from God, the discipline of practice and rehearsals were his personal role in his success but because of wrong believes, he allowed the devil corrupt the good that was in him and he eventually killed him. Read John 10:10 All good innovations and discoveries are from God. The ability to create is Godâs and never the Devilâs. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord, the devil has no good in him and nothing good can come out of him. If it is good without an attached evil to it; if it is perfect, then it is Godâs. Read and meditate on Joel 2:28 considering the words âdreamâ and âvisionâ and ask God for them. Ask God to inspire your spirit unto understanding. The world is waiting for the revelation of the innovations and discoveries locked up in you. âDr. Emmanuel James Streamglobe is nondenominational. Healing Is the Childrenâs Bread
đAudio Version Here â bit.ly/aud1863 Matthew 15:26 (KJV) But he answered and said, it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. Joel accepted the Lord Jesus when he was fifteen years old and got Baptized in the Holy Ghost when eighteen. He, however, suffered a skin infection until he was thirty. While preparing for his thirtieth birthday, he asked God for a birthday gift. That night, he saw a man in his dream who told him that âhealing is the childrenâs breadâ. When he woke up, although he couldnât remember the other things that happened in the dream, “healing is the childrenâs bread” kept ringing in his head, so he got out of bed and searched for that phrase in the Bible. Joel continued to confess those words and decided no longer to be bothered by the skin infection anymore. A few days later he discovered that the infection was gone. “It is not meet to take the children’s bread and to cast it to dogs”, says Jesus. Yet, there are many children of God today who are presently suffering from sicknesses and infirmities. Are you a child of God but sick in your body? Ask God (your father) for the bread of healing. He already gave His word when he said, âask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto youâ. Take Him by His word. If you are sick in your body, pray this prayer: I am a child of God and healing is mine in Christ Jesus, I, therefore, command you sickness (mention the name) to leave me now in Jesus name, Amen. Baptized Into One Body
đAudio Version Here â bit.ly/aud1862 1 Corinthians 12:12-13 (NKJV) For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free–and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. It is the same blood that flows in your hands that flows also in your legs and in every other part of your body. Because of this, you do not consider any part of your body to be outside your body. It is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead that lives within you and within the millions of believers on earth today. Those who fail to realize that they are one with other believers would not fully enjoy the benefits of The Body. They would be limited and may not know why. It is the same Holy Spirit that came upon the disciples on the day of Pentecost that now dwells within you if you are born again. It is the same Holy Spirit that baptized your brother in the other church that has baptized you if you are born again. We are all members of the same body. We all have the same Spirit living within us. Go into today thanking the Lord for baptizing you with the same Spirit that came upon Him when he was here on earth. Expect to be able to do great and wonderful things just as the Lord and His apostles did because you have the same spirit that they have. âPst. Receiving & Walking in Spiritual Gifts
đAudio Version Here â bit.ly/aud1861 1 Corinthians 12:11 (NKJV) But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. Aarav had always wanted to walk in the prophetic gifts because he had seen the benefits first hand. He always assumed he had received [the baptism of the] Holy Spirit, but through diligent study of the word, he realized he was not yet baptized in the Holy Spirit because he saw from scripture that everyone who was baptized knew for sure that they had received the Holy Spirit. But he wasn’t sure. Aarav was invited to attend an interdenominational Holy-Ghost all night prayer meeting. He decided to attend this meeting because he was told that people received the baptism of the Holy Spirit there. During the meeting, the minister of God invited all those who wanted to receive the Holy Ghost to come forward to be ministered to. As soon as the minister laid his hand on Aaravâs head, Aarav felt great power come upon him that made his body quiver. The next thing he could remember was that he started speaking in tongues and prophesying. that was the day Aarav received the spiritual gifts of tongues and prophesy. With time, he observed that he now had the gift of discerning of spirits and the ability to know things that he normally would not know (word of knowledge). Spiritual gifts are distributed by the Holy Spirit as the He wills. The Holy Spirit not only gives us spiritual gifts, He is the one who powers (or works) them. So walking in communion with the Holy Spirit is the key to walking and excelling in your spiritual gifts. Receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit is key to receiving spiritual gifts. Go into today remembering that God wants you to walk in spiritual gifts so you can be more fruitful. Ask the Lord to deliver you from everything that hinders your communion with the Holy Spirit. âPst. Washing Each Otherâs Feet
đAudio Version Here â http://bit.ly/aud1860 John 13:10 (NET) Jesus replied, âThe one who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean. And you disciples are clean, but not every one of you.â Read John 13:1-17 We know that the one Jesus referred to here as not being clean was Judas Iscariot. Was it that Judas didn’t have a physical bath like the others? Or was it that Jesus didn’t physically wash Judas’ feet like He did the others? This clearly proves that what Jesus demonstrated in washing His discipleâs feet had a deep spiritual meaning. Jesus told his disciples in John 15:3 that: ‘You are clean already because of the word that I have spoken to you’. So we can see that being clean is not physical but spiritual. And the way through which are clean is by believing the word of God that brings faith in Christ Jesus. The feet are the part of the body that can most easily get dirty again, even after the body has been bathed. As we go through this dusty dirty world, our feet can come in contact with dirt and become dirty. (We can limit this by having our feet shod with the gospel of truth. This means we reveal and do not hide our identity as believers but are ready witnesses of Christ everywhere). Jesus was the one who washed His disciplesâ feet. He has instructed us to wash each otherâs feet in the same way (see John 13:14). As we deal with believers, we may observe some lapses and faults or backslidings. We are not to be condemnatory or judgmental; we are to carefully wash their feet by interceding for them and by sometimes admonishing them with the Word in love. This is a very important aspect of our Kingdom life. Remember that Jesus interceded for His disciples. He knew that the devil wanted to destroy Peter, but because of His intercession for Peter, Peter was restored (see Luke 22:31-32). Is there a brother or sister close to you that you notice is backsliding? The Lord Jesus expects you to wash his/her feet: intercede and do not condemn. You canât do both. âPst. YOU HAVE AUTHORITY
đGet Devotional & Bible Audio Here â http://bit.ly/aud1859 Matt 28:18-19 [KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. There was a day my friend and I was praying for two young ladies possessed with the spirit of witchcraft. When the power of God came upon them, they started confessing, and saying things that they could do with witchcraft powers. I marveled greatly because as a believer, I did not operate in the dimension of mysteries they talked about. But still, they submitted themselves to me, showing that I truly have spiritual authority that is superior to theirs. It was then that I realized that they had great knowledge of the little power that they have but I had little knowledge of the superior great power I have in Christ Jesus. This is the case with most believers, many of us have little knowledge of the Spirit that dwells within us, and because of this limited knowledge, we can do only little exploit (see Dan 11:32). Many believers are ignorant of who they are and what they have. As a child of God, you have power and authority. It was given to you as part of your inheritance in Christ Jesus. Jesus secured all power by going to the cross, dying a horrible death, suffering the penalty of sin, and defeating Satan in hell. Go into the world today knowing that Jesus has given you authority. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. -Pastor Lanre Tobi BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: I Chronicles 20-24 Join our Daily Broadcasts: Whatsapp group link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/IIHKNAgfXYA98HiszHubnw | BBM: 58FC6299 | Telegram group: streamglobe.org/join Source: Devotional
