Genesis 41:38 (KJV)
And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
Williams was a believer and worked in an organization known for people hustling and stepping over others in order to climb up the career ladder. Though he felt like giving up at some point in terms of having any progress, he remained steadfast, doing the right thing at work to the disgust of some his colleagues.
Eventually, there was a big shake-up in the organization as external auditors visited and with their visit, many were fired for fraudulent activities. He was the only one found to be clean in his department and soon afterward a new management made him the head there.
It’s sad to know that if a test was conducted to separate believers from those who are not, many who claim to be believers will fall under the unbelievers category because today, the demarcation lines have been blurred and that seal of authenticity that God requires is no longer promoted (2 Tim 2:19).
From our text, Pharoah saw that there was a clear difference between Joseph and his own magicians due to God’s presence in the life of Joseph. Pharoah’s question is very much valid today in our generation. Can they point to us and say “these ones are different from the rest because they have Jesus”?
Being carriers of God’s presence will surely make us enemies of the world and bring to us tough tests and trials. Nonetheless, we are assured eternal victory in the end (Jn 16:33, 2 Cor 4:17-18).
Go into today conscious and actively living as one who has the Almighty inside of him, for soon you’ll also be celebrated and recognized for good.
