Let Us Have Grace 2

Ephesians 2:8-10 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. George grew up in a Christian home. He didn’t remember exactly when he accepted the Lord Jesus because he had known the Lord from when he was a child. Because he had lived a morally upright and disciplined life all his life, he started taking the grace of God for granted and giving his upbringing all the credit. Because of this, he became a very religious person with no spiritual power. He was afraid of witches and demons and was even now being tormented by them in his dreams. But after remembering and acknowledging the grace of God as the reason he was a believer and an upright person, it was as if a door was opened for him to know the Lord and grow in grace and spiritual power. One of the signs that a person has laid hold on the grace of God is that he would not be able to boast about his good works, he would rather give all the glory to God because he acknowledges that they are a product of God’s ordination long ago. Such a person would not be judgmental and would be quick to forgive because he realizes that if it were not for grace, he would have been as bad as anybody. That’s why those who cannot forgive cannot continue to grow in grace (see Matt 6:15). Go into today remembering that it is expedient that we walk in grace and not in our own works because the only way we can serve God acceptably is through the empowerment of grace (Heb 12:28). Those who acknowledge the grace of God as their source of strength would continue to advance in it. Prayer: Father, thank you for your grace that saves me and empowers me to do your good works. Please help me grow in this grace and in the knowledge of you (2 Pet 3:18). Amen. Want to be saved? Click here: www.streamglobe.org/33 —Abraham Damilola Arigi Streamglobe is nondenominational. Let Us Have Grace

Hebrews 12:28 (KJV) Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear After Terso believed in the Lord Jesus, he met some brethren on campus who had much grace to pray and fast. Because he was close to them, he also received this grace to pray and wait on the Lord. Because of this, there was great power in their midst, such that through them great miracles were performed. But as Terso left the country to another country for studies, he found that the grace he enjoyed while on campus seemed to be waning. He could no longer pray the way he used to, and his spiritual adventure appeared to now be an uphill battle. He had routines and disciplines he trusted to keep him in grace, but that was where his problem came from, he trusted in systems rather than in Christ for grace. You are saved by grace through faith, not of yourself and not of works lest you should boast, but it is the gift of God (see Ephesians 2:8-9). Whenever you see a man under grace working hard, it is because grace is empowering him, and he would not be able to take credit for it but would attribute it to the grace of God (see 1 Cor 15:10). When you see a man begin to take credit for the work of grace, he is beginning to fall from grace and walk in disgrace. This was exactly what happened with the people of Israel. By the time the gospel was revealed, they had forgotten that their election as God’s people was simply because of God’s grace and not the works that followed. They could not receive grace because they were already full of trust in their own works and routines. Go into today remembering that grace produces good works but trusting in good works do not produce grace, only trusting in Christ alone imparts grace(see John 1:16). Grace is received and multiplied by trusting in Christ and abiding (knowing and growing in) in Him (see John 15:4, 2 Pet 1:2,). Want to be saved? Faith or Risk?

1 John 5:14 (KJV) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. Jide grew up very poor so one of his greatest desires in life was to become very rich and powerful. He wanted to own the biggest house in his village and drive the most expensive cars. When he realized that through faith, people could receive things from the Lord, he decided to begin to apply faith towards his dream of riches. He took many risks. There were times he wouldn’t eat properly because he had given all his money in hopes that he would receive the kind of riches he wanted from the Lord. Jide didn’t receive the riches he expected from the Lord. He later found out that it wasn’t that God didn’t want to make him rich, but his motive for asking was wrong, it was pride of life. God does not reward bad motives. For your faith not to be you just taking risks, your faith has to be based on the word and will of God. If there is anything to learn about God’s predestination, it is that God doesn’t do anything He never first planned to do. The power of God would not work to furnish your pride or massage your ego, it would work to fulfill God’s word and do His will. The onus is on us to ensure we are found within His will. When dealing with God, your motive and the state of your heart is very important. God would rather give you something simply because you ask and desire it than give it to you to furnish your pride and lust (see James 4:3). One of the most effective ways of asking and receiving from the Lord is to factor your request within the context of what you are sure is God’s will for you. Go into today remembering that God’s will is superior to your faith, and God would not do anything against His will. Ensure that your faith always aligns with God’s will so that it would be fruitful. Every Believer Is a Minister

Beware of scammers! No one in Streamglobe would contact you personally to request WhatsApp Code or money Ephesians 4.11-12 (NIV) It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. “I am not called into any of the fivefold ministries, I’m just going to live a good and simple Christian life; God has chosen not to call me into ministry! I guess I’m one of the many called by God but not one of those chosen by him to serve. But I really want to serve God, I want to be used by God” lamented Praise to his Pastor. Just like Praise, there are many who think they must function in one of the five-fold ministries before they can serve God. However, today’s Bible text shows that the five-fold functionaries have the responsibility of preparing God’s people for works of service. You see, God has you in mind, He also wants you to serve as a minister. The Apostles, the Prophets, the Evangelist, and the Pastors and Teachers were placed in the Church by God to teach and equip everyone else for the work of the ministry, and it is by your service that the body of Christ will be built up. If you are a child of God who is baptized in the Holy Ghost, you have been commissioned for ministry already. You are a minister of God’s reality in any place you find yourself. Acts 1:8 (KJV)  reads, ‘’but ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth’’. If you could receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit, then you are to be a witness unto Christ. Go into today knowing that every believer is a minister and that God officially commissioned you as a witness when the Holy Ghost came upon you. Prayer: Father, thank you for trusting me so much that you made me one of your ministers. I receive grace to effectively do your work in Jesus’ name. Amen. Want to be saved? Take Heed How You Hear

Mark 4:24 (AMP) And he said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you – and more [besides] will be given to you who hear. Words are powerful and potent. Words have the ability to communicate power, courage, and strength, however, words can also communicate discouragement, unbelief, doubt, and fear. When Cornelius, a very devout man, was praying and an angel appeared to him and directed him to Peter, this is how Peter recounted what the angel told him, “And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.” Words, power-filled words. Again, hear Peter cry out in John 6:68 after that many of Jesus’ followers had deserted him and Jesus had asked the 12 if they too wouldn’t leave. Peter said, “…To whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life”. You see, words can communicate the power of God unto salvation, however, they can also subvert hearers and cause them to stray. Here is Apostle Paul’s warning to Timothy, “Remind people of these things and solemnly charge them before the Lord not to wrangle over words. This is of no benefit; it just brings ruin on those who listen”, and again he said, “But avoid profane chatter, because those occupied with it will stray further and further into ungodliness” (2 Tim 2: 14&16). The words you hear and expose yourself to continually will have an impact on your life. If those words are communicating ungodliness, fear, doubt, and unbelief, you will begin to see them manifest in your life. However, the more you consciously expose yourself to God’s words which communicate his love, power, faith, and godliness, you will likewise see them manifest in your life. Be careful what you are hearing, what you are giving thought to and meditating upon, your life [and spiritual health] depends on it. Go into today resolved to give more thought and study to the truth of God’s word. Say these words, ‘O how I love your law! All-day long I meditate on it. Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for I am always aware of them’ (Psalm 119:97-98 NET). Want to be saved? An Intercessor Or A Fault Finder?

Luke 18:1 (KJV)  And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint. For a very long time, Judith complained and murmured about the inconsistencies she noticed in her home Church. Her exposure to true apostolic teachings had opened her understanding so much that she picked up errors so easily. She became even more surprised when the same continued after she had left her local Church for another branch in the city. She eventually left that branch for another but the same continued. It was after attending the fifth Church that she began to think that the problem was with her, so she decided to commit herself to God in prayers and she got a quick response; two passages were given to her by the Holy Spirit: The first was Philippians 2:14 (KJV), ‘‘do all things without murmurings and disputings’’ and the second is, Luke 18:1 (KJV)  ‘‘and he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint’’. Judith understood immediately that God had opened her eyes to those inconsistencies so that she would intercede for the Churches. If God has called you to be an intercessor, he will often allow you to see faults and weaknesses in others and your natural response may be to complain, murmur or criticize such persons, but God’s reason for allowing you see such faults or weaknesses is so that you would intercede. According to God’s standard, you are to be careful for nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6 KJV). Go into today knowing that your duty as a child of God is to pray and not to murmur or complain. If you don’t like it, pray about it. Remember that men ought always to pray. Prayer: Father, help me to always pray instead of complaining in Jesus’ name. Amen Want to be saved? Cast Not Your Pearls before Swine

Beware of scammers! No one in Streamglobe would contact you personally to request WhatsApp Code or money. Click Here to Download the Audio Version ☞ bit.ly/aud1918 Matthew 7:6 (KJV) Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. After Henry believed in the Lord and was delivered from many dangerous habits like smoking and gambling, he now saw more clearly how those habits were destroying his life before he believed. Because of this, he tried persuading his old friends from such habits, trying to show them how bad these habits are for their health and even their finances, but they laughed at him and hated him even more. All he tried to do was to help them, but it was working the other way round. We can see from scripture (see 2 Pet 2:22) that the metaphor of dogs and swine are used for rebellious ‘believers’ (who would not be corrected because they have turned from the way and are not deceived or ignorant but know what they are doing) or unbelievers. We are not to expend our teaching, counseling, prayers and time on such believers who have denied the faith (see 1 John 5:16). There is no need to waste your time to convince an unbeliever about the dangers of his habits (he most likely already knows), what he needs is the gospel. It is when you see a speck in the eye of your [Christian] brother or sister that you can expend your resources and time in removing it through prayer, teaching, and loving counsel. But you can only be effective in this when you have already removed the log in your own eyes (see Matt 7:5). Go into today remembering that you have limited time on this side of eternity. Make the most of it for God’s kingdom profit (see Eph 5:15-16). Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you to be more fruitful in His kingdom this new week. Want to be saved? Be Quiet or Shout Louder: Your Choice

Mark 10:48 (NET) Many scolded him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Do you remember the parable Jesus told in Luke chapter 18? It is the story of a woman who brought a petition to a very hard judge. The judge had no fear of God nor of man. He refused to hear or heed the widow’s petition, but as a result of the widow’s importunity, that is her persistence to the point of wearing him out, he gave in and heard and heeded the widow’s plea. The Bible tells us that Jesus told this parable to the end that men ought always to pray and not to lose heart (Luke 18:1). When you are at the point of need, you will always encounter voices that seek to disparage and discourage your faith. Bartimaeus is no stranger to such voices/influences. He was crying out for help to the one who could help however the crowd will have none of it. “Keep quiet!” they scolded him, “Don’t create a scene,” they said. At that point, he had a choice to make. Act sophisticated and remain blind or be branded uncultured and receive your sight. You might still refer to him as Blind Bartimaeus, but I tell you, he shouted all the louder and was healed of that blindness. Many today will crumble under the weight of the pressure to fit into people’s expectations to the detriment of their faith. That is not for you child of God. The righteous are as bold as a lion, importunate in prayers, persistent in faith, holding fast their confession of faith until they through faith and patience obtain the promise of God over their lives. The victorious Christian has settled it in his heart that there is nothing to be ashamed of about his faith in God. He will pray in tongues without self-consciousness, he will boldly affirm that God reigns in the affairs of men, he will continually stand upon his watch to hear what God has to say to him. He doesn’t wish to the mountain, he says to it, “Be moved and be cast into the sea”, not fearing what people would say. That was Bartimaeus story, what will yours be? Quiet or louder? Go into today determined to always pray and not to lose heart. Pray like this: Lord I thank you for your word is true. Therefore, I will be importunate in prayer, persistent in faith and continual in thanksgiving. Want to be saved? Go here: streamglobe.org/33 —Ikechukwu Mpama Streamglobe is nondenominational. Ministry In The Marketplace

Romans 12:6 (NET) And we have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If the gift is prophecy, that individual must use it in proportion to his faith. Mayowa believed that God had called him to be a prophet because he had prophetic gifts. As he became closer to the Lord, it became clearer to him that he was not called to the pulpit, but to use his anointing in the marketplace and represent Christ there. He was a businessman, and he would use his prophetic grace to understand business trends and patterns. He would attend business meetings with people deeply involved in the occult, but they would not be able to subdue him. In a matter of six years, he dominated his industry. And this was because of the grace of God upon his life. The Lord made him very great because the Lord wanted him to become a policymaker in his country through his business influence. Politicians would seek his consent before making certain decisions in the land because of his influence. One big mistake believers make is thinking that the anointing of God upon their lives is strictly meant for Church ministry. Daniel got to the point he got to in government because of the anointing of God upon his life. Jacob became a successful businessman because of the anointing of God upon his life (Gen 31:10-11). David was a successful king who never lost a war because of the anointing of God upon his life. Joseph ascended to the highest office in the land because of the anointing. Go into today remembering that as believers, we are agents for the advancement of God’s kingdom wherever He has placed us. It is time for us to start taking advantage of the anointing of God in every area and conquering territories for God. Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you always represent Him well. Want to be saved? Manner of Thinking 2

1 Timothy 5:4 (NET)  But if a widow has children or grandchildren, they should first learn to fulfill their duty toward their own household and so repay their parents what is owed them. For this is what pleases God. After Kemi became a widow, one of the reasons she didn’t remarry immediately was because of her children. All the men who showed interest in marrying her couldn’t hide the fact that they were not interested in her children. If she had married any of those men, it might have meant that her old parents would have to take care of her children because they would not have a happy childhood in her new home. Because of these reasons, she chose to remain unmarried. As a believer, she didn’t put her convenience first but considered her children and her parents. She wanted to repay her parents by making their lives more comfortable, not making it more stressful because of her choices. Beyond the obvious subject matter, today’s Bible verse reveals an attitude of mind that every Christian should have. A true believer should carry his own burdens and not have the character of pushing over his responsibilities to others because of his personal convenience. Many today have an entitlement mentality and would not think twice before pushing their responsibilities to others if they can. That’s not the Christian way. In the kingdom, we have a mind to carry each other’s burdens, not a mind to impose our responsibilities on others. In the world, it is more blessed to receive than to give, but in the kingdom, it is more blessed to give than to receive. This principle should guide our thought processes as new creatures in Christ. Go into today knowing that the renewal of heart and transformation of mind through the Word fundamentally changes us from self-centered selfish people into selfless loving and giving people. Any believer who has not conquered self-centeredness will find that his ability to manifest the reality and power of the divine nature is greatly limited. Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me the heart and mind of Christ. Deliver me from the old nature of selfishness and fill my heart with your love. Amen. Want to be saved?
