You will be mature and complete. You will be all that God wants you to be. While learning carpentry, John felt that his teacher who also was his father didn’t want him to succeed because while other pupils worked, his father asked him to just watch him. Years later when he was now a celebrated and accomplished craftsman, he realized that he was able to surpass his peers not because he had better skills but because by observing his father work through difficulties to eventually create masterpieces, he had also developed that same virtue that persisted where others gave up. There is something about being patient that endears one to God. Patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22) and if we desire to see God’s will for our lives fulfilled, we will surely need it (Heb 10:36). Jesus stressed this need in His parable (Lk 8:15) as a requirement for success because there will be many who feel that they are good soils having all the abilities, and will hastily rush into doing things but in the end fail at some point, due to them lacking this virtue. Waiting on God requires that we actively work on all our spiritual gifts over a period of time, to ensure that through them, we gain maturity and are able to withstand life’s trials. Go into today with all perseverance, growing and developing your spiritual gifts, as this will lead to you achieving success in life.-Chibo E.C Yearly Bible Reading: I Samuel 11-15 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational. One of the greatest privileges of our faith in Jesus is that of coming into contact with the Father. This brings us to the importance of prayers as a doorway to experiencing God. A preacher came to a conclusion, which you will agree with after deep studies and practice, that no man or ministry is greater than his prayer life. Bible Studies, reading Christian literature, listening to great sermons and great preachers will equip you with the word of God, but it is combining it with a robust prayer(fasting) life that will help you know the God of the word. Jesus highlighted this in his engagement with the Jewish intellectuals and leaders when he said “You diligently search the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, and these are they bearing witness concerning Me; and you are not willing to come to Me, that you may have life.” (Joh 5:39-40). You see, though these men were highly skilled in the knowledge of scripture, their knowledge was deprived of the intimacy and experience of the God of the word. This condition robs people of the opportunity to live lives full of God’s Power, Character and Presence. Go into today, engaging the Lord with all prayers and supplication, focusing every thought and imagination on Him until your mind becomes fruitful enough to see Christ in all circumstances and all in scripture.(Luke 24:13-45). -Titus Ojima A Yearly Bible Reading: Mark 3-4 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Rhoda was now 30 years old and was not yet married. Her mother was worried sick because she said Rhoda will soon pass ‘the flower of her age’. Rhoda was not worried because each time anxiety tried to enter her heart, she handled it in the place of prayer. Because of this, she was very cheerful and joyful person and had a very attractive personality. This was what attracted the man who eventually married her. He was a very successful and well-celebrated businessman man who loved the lord. He wanted that joy and peace he saw radiating from Rhoda to be in his home, so he asked her to marry him. Anxiety and heaviness are popular negative spiritual forces that hinder the flow of grace and God’s blessings. That is one reason the Lord says we should be anxious for nothing. The most effective way to handle anxiety is through prayer and thanksgiving. One way you will know that you have prayed through is when you no longer feel the anxiety and now feel the peace of God. It is wise to continue to pray about a matter until the anxiety leaves your heart. Go into today determined to live a life that radiates the glory and joy of the Lord. Ask the Lord to help you always cast your cares upon Him(Psalm 55:2). -SD Abraham AUDIO SERMONS here☞ http://bit.ly/SERmons Yearly Bible Reading: I Corinthians 9-10 (In Devotional Audio) Kindly share this Interdenominational Devotional with your contacts here and let’s touch lives together. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Because of her upbringing, Rhoda knew how to pray for long. So when it dawned on her that she was not praying nearly enough, she decided to start praying the way she was brought up to pray. At every opportunity she found, she would pray in the spirit. She also started taking out at least one hour each day to pray in the Spirit. Rhoda observed that as she prayed more, she became more sensitive in the spirit and was filled with power and boldness. She saw that through prayer, she now physically received the things that had been prophesied over her life long ago; prophecies that appeared like they would not be fulfilled. It is through prayers that we birth the things that have been given to us through prophecy. This was what Daniel understood when he began to pray concerning the liberation of Israel prophesied by Jeremiah (see Dan 9:2-3). Rhoda’s prayers were now powerful because she was now walking in the outward manifestation of God’s righteousness. It is the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man that avails much, not the effectual fervent prayer of any man. Many believers pray long and pray hard, but their prayers are not very powerful because it comes from deceitful lips and impure hearts. They cannot ascend the heights [of power] through prayer because of the way they live their lives (see Psa 24:3-5). Go into today remembering that deceitful lips do not have any power in the presence of God and his holy angels. Ask the Lord to help you pray in the Spirit on all occasions. -SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Mark 3-4 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational. PRAYING WISELY 3
James 5:16 (AMP) 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God-it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. Rhoda grew up in a church where they knew how to pray. They could pray for twelve ours straight. But it was not a Bible word based church. Many of them lived unrighteous miserable lives despite their great prayer lives. Many of them had broken marriages, etc.. It appeared that all their prayers were not so powerful because they were not righteous people in their manner of conduct. When Rhoda left home, she started attending a Bible-based church and grew greatly in faith and the word of righteousness. But they didn’t pray much in that church assembly so power wasn’t as much as it should be. One big problem I have observed is that many churches that emphasize prayer the way churches should, do not emphasize the practical walking out of righteousness in the lives of their members. This has led to many of them living in an unholy and unrighteous manner. Because of this, even though they pray much, their prayers are not very powerful. It is the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man that makes much power available. It is also sad that many churches that are faith and Bible-based these days do not pray much. Even when they have all night prayers, they spend most of the time doing activities and not praying. There would have been tremendous power available if these churches grounded in the word only prayed as much as they should. Go into today asking the Lord to help you pray more in the spirit. -SD Abraham AUDIO SERMONS here☞ http://bit.ly/SERmons Yearly Bible Reading: Isaiah 62-66 (In Devotional Audio) Kindly share this Interdenominational Devotional with your contacts here and let’s touch lives together. From our bible verse, it’s clear that many will struggle in life’s battle against the enemy as a result of the dullness of their weapon in spiritual warfare, leading to their eventual exhaustion and sustaining of serious injuries. Wisdom will seek to ensure that such deadly risks are avoided by taking vital steps to maintain the weapon’s sharpness. Some of these steps include: 1. Preventing our weapons from degradation: Sin is to our spiritual weapon the same way moisture is to a metal weapon, causing them to rust or corrode. The tiniest dirt of sin if left unchecked can progressively erode layers of our spiritual weapons, thereby compromising their integrity and as such puts our lives at risk (Jam 1:15) 2. Sharpening our weapons through others: Iron sharpens iron means we must maintain fellowship with other soldiers in the Lord’s army to enable us gauge how blunt or how sharp our weapons are, to help us improve on the strength and quality of our weapons and to give us support when we are less skilled or our weapons aren’t individually strong enough to face the enemy (Pro 27:17, Eccl 4:9-12). 3. Oiling and polishing our weapons: Not only does oiling and polishing help to prevent rusting or wrinkling of weapons but it also enhances its efficiency by making its parts work smoothly, giving it a glistening look. The Holy Spirit is the Oil that polishes all our weapons of war to provide the cutting edge with which they cut down the enemy. Without Him, our weapons are powerless (Judg 15:14-16, Psa 89:20-23, Psa 92:10-11, Acts 19:11-16). Go into today not only fully clad in armor but also making every effort to ensure that it stays sharp and battle ready because your survival depends on it. -Chibo E.C. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. Azubike was having a challenge in his business. He prayed that the Lord should give him wisdom and help him solve the problem. The first time he prayed that prayer, he knew he needed to pray some more, but because he did not understand what Jesus meant in today’s Bible text, he felt that God did not want him to pray about the same matter more than once. Thankfully, he was someone who had the habit of studying the Bible, so one day, he read Luke chapter 18 and saw that Jesus actually taught that we could pray the same prayer more than once. This was how he continued to pray until he received his answer. Jesus prayed the same prayer more than once in the garden of Gethsemane (Matt 26:42-44). Elijah prayed the same prayer seven times when he wanted it to rain again (1 Kings 18:42-44). But what Jesus is warning against in today’s Bible verses is not repetition in prayers, but vain repetition. We saw last time that vain prayers are the kind of prayers that the Gentiles pray. Their prayers are always centered on themselves and their needs. But believers are to pray prayers centered on the kingdom of God and his righteousness. Go into today asking the Lord to help you to always pray wisely (James 4:3). -Chibo E.C. John was in a bedridden state when he came across a chaplain and became a believer. However, until he came to know the truth about Jesus the healer, he painfully remained on his bed wishing that the healings of old were still possible. He imagined that God in pity would see his present state and maybe act. He would pray, hoping that one day in the future it will happen. Concerning Isa 53:4-5, Matt 8:17 and 1Pet 2:24, many are like sick John and make the mistake of interpreting these scriptural pillars of healing as: “There is a forgone past, there is maybe a probable present, and there hopefully will be an occurring future”. When pillars are wrongly placed, a building is unstable and risks collapsing. So is the healing potential of one who hears the gospel without the truth that Christ has settled our healing for the past, present, and future. This leads to a reasoning that insults or makes a mockery of what Christ accomplished for us through His redemptive work, trying to push the blame on God when healing isn’t achieved. The truth, however, is that God sees us as already healed because as spirit beings who relate with Him in spirit, He has placed within our recreated spirit His healing power and virtue, which is released for our physical wholeness by our faith. All that is needed is for us to acknowledge it, receive it and thank God for it, as we renew our minds through His Word. Therefore, the correct way for us interpreting these scriptural pillars of healing is:“There was a fulfilled past, there is a real and active present, and there is an expected and accomplished future”. Go into today, knowing that Christ settled your healing for all times. And by faith, you’re able to release it in your life and over the lives of others. -Chibo E.C. DISSOCIATE FROM THE RABBLE

We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost-also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!” There is a terrifyingly growing influence of the mixed crowd today, even within the annals of Christendom, to dispel the truth of the Gospel as being too rigid. They are a vocal group of agitators, who are experts in twisting words to justify sin to the delight of those who disobey. Preaching love as a smoke screen, they try to sway as okay, relativism and the acceptance of immoral perversions in the body of Christ, pretentiously participating in church activities only to stealthily cause its destruction. The scriptures tell us that though people from other nations accompanied the Israelites out of Egypt (Exo 12:38), they’d later reveal their true and sinister intention, which was to incite the Israelites to rebel against God (Num 11:4-6). The Bible in 1John 2:19 rightly says about them that: “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us” (See also Jude 1:16-19). Any association or gathering where the Bible requirements of the believer to live a holy life of abstinence and contentment (1Pet 1:14-15, 1Tim 6:-9) with respect to the things of the world is frowned upon or mocked at, signifies the workings of the rabble, whose wages is death. Dissociate yourself today from being part of any rabble disguised as a church, whose popular and enticing doctrines promote sin (2Cor 6:17, 1Pet 2:11-12). -SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Genesis 44-47 (In Devotional Audio) Kindly share this Interdenominational Devotional with your contacts and let’s bless lives together. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. Debo observed that he was now telling lies again. He took a count and identified seven different lies he had told in the past four days. He knew he needed to pray. “I cannot continue like this,” he said to himself as he set his alarm clock to wake him up by 2am to pray. After praying in the spirit that night for about two hours, he knew the power of lying in his life was broken. He now had the power to resist the urge to tell lies. Debo prayed because he observed a fault in his life that was resisting his outward walk of righteousness. His prayer that night was not about his needs, but about seeking the righteousness of God. In order to properly understand what Jesus is saying in today’s Bible verses, we need to read further to verses 31 and 32. Here Jesus explains the content of the prayers of Gentiles. Their prayers are all about their needs which can be summed up in “what shall we eat, what shall we drink, and what shall we wear?”. In the context of God’s kingdom, it is vain to keep repeating such prayers. Jesus goes ahead to tell us in Matt 6:33 that if we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these other things (of physical and material needs) will be added unto us. One we seek the kingdom of God is in the place of prayer. No one can truly seek the kingdom of God without seeking to walk in God’s righteousness (see Rom 14:17).
