TOPIC: PRAYER

 

BIBLE TEXT: Ephesians 6:18 (AMPC) Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).

 

INTRODUCTION

Prayer is one of our most important spiritual disciplines as believers. It is important that we don’t just know what prayer is and how to pray, but that we know the different kinds of prayers and how to apply them.

Some situations would require confessions of faith, while some others would require supplication to God. Some problems may require that you speak to them(Mark 11:23), while some others would require that you speak to the Lord about it(2 Corinthians 12:8-9). Knowing and understanding these would help us be more effective in prayers and be more fruitful as servants of God.

6) How often should we pray? 1 Thessalonians 5:16, Psalm 55:17, Psalm 92:1-2

CONCLUSION

We see from scripture that we should be people of prayer, and we also see in scripture that we can pray amiss. Who is praying and why he is praying is more important than what is being said in prayer.

Prayer is not just about making requests to God, it is about communing with our heaven Father.
