Mark 16:16 (NET) The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.
The Lord can give you personal instructions that may look outside the norm, but they still will not contradict His will as revealed in scripture. If the Lord restrains you from doing something you think is needful, it is because he has arranged for someone else to do it.
I have seen some ministers leave disciples unbaptized, and many quote Apostle Paul who said the Lord did not send him to baptize but only to preach. They forget that the people Paul was writing to were already baptized by the time he wrote to them. To baptize disciples is a commandment of the Lord and everyone who believes should be baptized. (See Matt 28:19).
Apostle Paul was not instructed to baptize the Corinthians because the Lord wanted other ministers to baptize and disciple them. The wisdom of the Lord in instructing Paul to only preach was revealed when Paul had to use that as one of his greatest points to prove to the Corinthians that he was not called to disciple them, but Apollos was. He said ‘I planted, Apollos watered… ‘(1 Cor 3:6).
Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you rightly discern His will.
