RIGHT BELIEVING
Romans 6:11 (KJV) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. When Eleojo was thirteen years old, he was introduced to smoking. As he grew older, he became addicted to other drugs. He received Christ when he was on campus at the age of 22. But he had a big struggle overcoming his addictions: he believed it was impossible to conquer them and certain sins. His victory started when he fully understood Rom 6:11. Our Bible text today says we should consider ourselves dead to sin but alive unto God through Christ. Many times, Christians are defeated because they still consider themselves alive to sin: they still believe in their hearts that they cannot conquer certain sins. You see, everything we do with God is done by faith. Our faith is based on God’s word and not on our experiences or our feelings. What today’s text reveals to us is that we should change the way we see ourselves; we should begin to see ourselves as dead to sin. We should believe this and say what we believe. This is how we cooperate with God to allow his transformation. As you go into today, determine from this moment to believe and say only the things that God says concerning you. You should no longer believe according to your weaknesses or your past experiences but according to God’s word. Go into today meditating on this: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. *You will act right when you start believing right. Prayer Confession: I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am walking in the Divine nature and pleasing God in all respects. The grace of God is empowering me to do this, in Jesus name. Amen. —Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our WhatsApp group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRJoin our Telegram group: https://t.me/streamglobe1 Bible In 1Year: I Kings 5-9 (in today’s audio)Audio Bible credit: Bible Experience, Zondervan Tune in to Streamglobe 24/7 radio here☞ https://streamglobe.org/radio Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together. GRACE 2
Romans 6:1-2 (KJV) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Sin attracts destruction against us; grace repels this destruction which is the rightful consequence for sin. The more there is sin, the more there is grace needed to repel the consequence. This (grace) is all because of God’s great love for us. He loves us who don’t deserve His love. How do we respond to this great love? We respond by loving God with all our hearts. If a man is drowning in the middle of the ocean and someone he doesn’t know comes with a boat to rescue him, that person has saved his life. If the man jumps back into the ocean because he knows there is now a boat, he is an unreasonable man. The sharks may be waiting the next time he jumps into the water. A man who has been saved by grace but later continues to sin because he knows there is grace is an unreasonable man. He is playing with danger. Sin is not just disobedience against God, if it was, God would simply have forgiven us and Jesus wouldn’t have to die. Sin is a transgression of the law of spiritual life; it is a toxic spiritual force that has to be atoned for (cleansed). That is why Jesus needed to come and die to atone for our sins. Your salvation is free but it is not cheap; it cost God His only begotten son. Go into today determined to Love God more than ever before. This love will keep you from sin. Prayer: Ask the Lord to open your eyes to see the depths of His love for you.Ask for more grace to live above sin.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our WhatsApp group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRJoin our Telegram group: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Audio Version here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3719 Bible In 1Year: Exodus 37-40 (in today’s audio)Audio Bible credit: Bible Experience, Zondervan Tune in to Streamglobe 24/7 radio here☞ https://streamglobe.org/radio Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together. GRACE
Romans 6:1(KJV) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? In order to properly understand this Bible verse we would need to examine a verse in the previous chapter. Romans 5:20 (NET) but where sin increased, grace multiplied all the more. What does this mean? The first time grace was mentioned in the Bible was in Genesis 6:8. Understanding the context in which it was mentioned will help us. In Genesis 6, there was great corruption and wickedness on the earth. This was the product of sin, and it repented God that He created Humankind. The Lord said “I will wipe humankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth – everything from humankind to animals… ” You must understand that when God says a thing, it has become law in the realms of creation. There was now a new order, humankind was to be destroyed on the earth because of iniquity. BUT Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. The reason why Noah and his household were spared was because of grace. We are all descendants of Noah. The reason why humankind keeps sinning and does not experience total destruction is because this grace keeps increasing to accommodate for the sins. Just think of grace for a moment as a quantitative measure, if Noah and his household needed five measures, how many measures do you think the entire humankind needs today? So as sin increased, grace also had to be multiplied on the earth so as to keep humankind from destruction. This is the connection between sin and grace… to be continued. Go into today remembering that the grace of God is the reason why you are still alive and born again. Thank the Lord for making you a partaker of His grace.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our WhatsApp group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRJoin our Telegram group: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Audio Version here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3718 Bible In 1Year: Galatians 4-6 (in today’s audio)Audio Bible credit: Bible Experience, Zondervan Tune in to Streamglobe 24/7 radio here☞ https://streamglobe.org/radio Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together. FORGIVENESS 2
2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? After Monica explained to her fiancé that she was still an unbeliever when she had the abortion Cynthia told him about, she apologized and explained to him that the only reason Cynthia knew about this was that she sought Cynthia’s counsel on how best to tell him about her shameful past. When Cynthia heard that Monica and Gerald were still going ahead with their wedding as planned, she felt humiliated. She later decided to go to Monica and apologize for what she had done. Monica told her that she had already forgiven her. Even though Monica forgave Cynthia, she was wise enough to discontinue her friendship with Cynthia. Cynthia was not born again and Monica always knew this. Even if she didn’t know this before, she now knew. One of the wisest things you can do for yourself is to obey all God’s precepts; they will protect you from unnecessary trouble. Being nice and friendly with unbelievers is different from letting an unbeliever be your friend and confidant. Doing this is simply foolishness because the unbeliever will end up hurting you, either spiritually or physically; intentionally or unintentionally. An unbeliever you are yoked with will infect you with his unbelief, whether you like it or not. The worst thing that can happen to a Christian is unbelief; when he loses his faith. Go into today asking the Lord to send you true friends that believe in Him. Determine today to wisely discontinue close friendship with those who do not truly believe in Jesus. Prayer: Thank God for giving you life; thank Him for relationships. Ask for the wisdom to make the right friendships.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our WhatsApp group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRJoin our Telegram group: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Audio Version here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3717 Bible In 1Year: Luke 7-8 (in today’s audio)Audio Bible credit: Bible Experience, Zondervan Tune in to Streamglobe 24/7 radio here☞ https://streamglobe.org/radio Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together. ESTEEM THE WORD
Job 23:12[KJV] Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. Some people who read yesterday’s Devotional were offended by it, and I can understand why. They did not understand how someone like Monica will still have a real relationship with the Lord after what she had done. The truth is, what Monica did when she was an unbeliever was a horrible thing, abortion is actually murder. But she repented and God forgave her. God does not judge people for their past mistakes they have repented of, He judges them based on the way they respond to His word. Now let’s talk about the way people respond to God’s word. I have come to learn that the way to know if someone is truly born again is not by what church they attend or the things they say, even though these are important, they can be faked and there are many morally sound unsaved people. The way people respond to God’s word is the way to know whether or not they are born again. Anyone who has no regard for the word of God has no regard for God and does not really believe in God. Such a person cannot bring forth the fruits of righteousness because the transformation that produces such fruit comes by God’s word. Jesus purges us by His word so that we may be fruitful (see John 15:3). The only way a person can truly walk above sin is by letting God’s word dominate his heart (see Psalm 119:11). Go into today determining to regard God’s word above your daily bread. Prayer: Thank the Lord for sending His word to transform you into His nature. Ask the Lord to empower you to walk in the fullness of His will for your life.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our WhatsApp group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRJoin our Telegram group: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get the Audio Version here☞ streamglobe.org/aud3716 Bible In 1Year: Jeremiah 47-52 (in today’s audio)Audio Bible credit: Bible Experience, ZondervanListen to our edifying 24/7 radio here☞ https://streamglobe.org/radio Kindly share this with your contacts and let’s bless lives together. FORGIVENESS
Matthew 6:15 (NET) But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you your sins. Cynthia betrayed and offended Monica in a very bad way. She told Monica’s fiance that Monica once had an abortion. This was something that Monica was still trying to find words with which to tell him, and she shared this burden with Cynthia her best friend. Monica actually had an abortion many years ago when she was still an unbeliever. but now she was saved and had repented of such ways. Monica now found it impossible to forgive Cynthia. But she didn’t know that this was exactly what the enemy of her soul wanted. When Monica needed help, she cried to the Lord as usual, but the heavens appeared to be closed against her. She was worried and kept asking the Lord why His presence was no longer in her life like before. She found today’s Bible verse and received deliverance. Jesus reveals to us that our heavenly father forgives our trespasses. The only reason God will not forgive us is if we refuse to forgive others who have trespassed against us. Anyone who refuses to forgive others is only showing that he does not appreciate and accept what God has done for him in forgiving him for his many sins. He is also proving to the heavens that he does not truly possess the nature of God. As you go into today, remember that choosing to forgive is choosing to walk in the Spirit; it is in keeping with the nature of God. Prayer:Ask the Lord for grace to forgive those who have offended you. Ask the Lord to empower you to be more like Him every day and in every way. Amen. You’re not safe if you’re not saved. YOU SHALL FLOURISH
Psalm 92:12 (AMP) The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. The palm tree is a very useful and strong tree; one very important thing about the palm tree is that it is evergreen. It does not wither when all other plants around it wither. The word God has for you today is that you will flourish like the palm tree. When others say there is a casting down, you will say there is a lifting up. Your growth will never end and you shall be incorruptible. A palm tree does not struggle to grow; all that is needed is for it to remain planted in the right place. Your growth and prosperity in life shall not be a function of struggle but a function of grace. All you need to do is to make sure you remain planted in the Lord. As you go into this day, make up your mind to focus more on abiding in Christ and doing His will- this is the secret to true success. When you do this, you will notice that the Lord will take care of every aspect of your life. Prayer: thank the Lord for bringing you into this day. Thank the Lord for the grace that makes you a Christian. Ask the Lord to help you abide in Him all through the year. I KNOW THY WORKS
Revelation 2:2 (NET) ‘I know your works as well as your labor and steadfast endurance, and that you cannot tolerate evil. You have even put to the tests those who refer to themselves as apostles (but are not), and have discovered that they are false. Many of the missionaries that went to preach the gospel in Terna’s village were professionals in the city. They would plan their vacations together and use the time for mission work. Many of them were medical doctors, lawyers, accountants, some engineers, etc. When their colleagues would plan vacation trips to some of the most luxurious international destinations, they would spend their vacation time, money, and skills for the furtherance of the gospel in some place where there is still spiritual darkness. They did this because their hearts were fixed on the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Many of them did not know the extent of the reward that was being stored up for them in heaven. The word of the Lord for someone today is ‘I know your works, your labor, and your patience’. You may have forgotten some of your labor in the kingdom, but Jesus has not forgotten, and your reward has been stored up for you. Your reward is eternal. It will not only manifest in this life but will manifest for all eternity. The wisest thing any Christian can do is to sow his resources for the advancement of the kingdom of God here on earth. This is how to store up eternal treasure (Mat 6:20). Go into today remembering that God is not unjust to forget your labor of love (see Heb 6:10). THE CHURCH BRINGS LIGHT
Revelation 1:20 (AMP) As to the hidden meaning (the mystery) of the seven stars which you saw on My right hand and the seven lampstands of gold: the seven stars are the seven angels (messengers) of the seven assemblies (churches) and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. Terna’s village was in thick spiritual darkness. Witches and sorcerers ruled the village, and they oppressed everyone and kept them in bondage. The deliverance of that village came when some missionaries visited. They organized a crusade and ministered the gospel to many who were oppressed. Several sick people were healed and many others delivered from demonic oppression. Some of the missionaries remained in the village and established a church for the new believers. Light came to that village through the church. From today’s Bible text, the lampstands represent church assemblies. Every church assembly is placed in its location by the Lord to shine His light (the knowledge of the glory of God) and judge darkness there. The light provided by the church is because the church (lampstand) does its physical and spiritual part to keep the fire burning. When Jesus said ‘you are the light of the world’ He was referring to the Church. You along with your brethren in your local church assembly bring great spiritual illumination to that locality. Every Christian should be part of a Christian fellowship; by so doing he is fulfilling his calling of being a territorial light bringer. Go into today knowing that as a member of a church assembly, you have a part to play in keeping the fire burning. If you are a Christian and you are not committed to any Christian fellowship assembly, ask the Lord to lead you to the one for you.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our WhatsApp group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRJoin our Telegram group: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Audio Version here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3712 Bible In 1Year: Exodus 33-36 (in today’s audio)Audio Bible credit: Bible Experience, Zondervan Tune in to Streamglobe 24/7 radio here☞ https://streamglobe.org/radio Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together. VICTORY OVER SIN 2
Romans 6:14 (KJV) For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Denis was still under the dominion of sin and he knew it. It appeared that the more he tried to live above sin, the more powerful sin appeared to be. One day as he read Rom 6:14, it dawned on him that he was not yet free from the dominion of sin because he was not yet under grace. You see, you are either under grace or under the law. If sin still has dominion over you, it is because you are not yet walking under grace. Grace is the ability that God gives us to walk in His divine nature. Grace is empowerment from the Lord, and this empowerment is available because our spirits have been renewed and the Spirit of Christ now dwells within us. The Holy Spirit is the one who administers grace to our spirits. This means a person who is not baptized in the Holy Spirit will not walk in the fullness of God’s grace for him. Anyone who begins to think that he has enough discipline and strength to obey God and walk above sin is beginning to experiment with walking outside of Grace. Go into today knowing that the only way a person still in flesh and blood can walk above the limitation of the flesh is to walk under grace. Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit afresh.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our WhatsApp group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcS0ueW9OdOFYYPfonXAhRJoin our Telegram group: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Audio Version here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3711 Bible In 1Year: Galatians 1-3 (in today’s audio)Audio Bible credit: Bible Experience, Zondervan Tune in to Streamglobe 24/7 radio here☞ https://streamglobe.org/radio Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.
