But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Funke had prayed and trusted God for seven years to give her the fruit of the womb. But she was still expecting a miracle to happen. By this time, some of her ‘friends’ and family members were suggesting that she was not taking matters seriously enough. They told her about one ‘baba’ who solved several women’s problem. But Funke insisted that she was going to wait for the Lord and not turn to another god. (This ‘Baba’ was a sorcerer). Many times, it occurred to her that she was going to die childless, but she kept on encouraging herself in the Lord. The Lord kept showing her signs and tokens to remind her that He was with her. After being married for thirteen years, she and her husband welcomed their first child into this world. At the point she conceived, she was no more expecting to conceive because she had already reached the age of menopause and had concluded that ‘even if He slay me, I will still trust Him’. This was the threshold of faith that produced the miracle she had prayed for all her life. She didn’t quickly notice that all the time of waiting on the Lord and remaining steadfast had worked for her an eternal weight of glory. Even though she didn’t have biological children, she had many children in the Lord and had discipled tens of girls. Many of whom she brought out of the streets. Something about faith that we cannot afford to forget is that faith and patience usually work together. One of the biggest signs of true faith in the heart of a believer is the willingness to be patient. It is during the period of our patience that our faith is being purified and made strong. Go into today remembering that true faith is willing to wait on God and not turn to the left or the right. Ask the Lord to help you walk steadfastly in faith all the days of your life. -Chibo E.C Yearly Bible Reading: I Corinthians 11-12 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational. Being a Christian means you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is your savior because He saves you from the bondage of sin and death and the bondage of the devil. Jesus offers you total salvation. This means He saves you from spiritual, psychological, emotional and physical bondage. He does not only deliver you from unclean spirits but He delivers you from addictions and other such forms of bondage. He sets your body free from diseases and gives you a new life that strengthens your mortal body. When you say Jesus is your Lord, this means you are handing over the ownership and government of your life to Him. You no longer live to please yourself but now live to please Him. This also means that you accept that He is now responsible for you. When you believe and say those words(Rom 10:9: ‘Jesus is Lord’) and mean them, you are sealing a deal that includes the transfer of the ownership of your life to Christ Jesus. When you accept Christ’s Lordship over your life, you have also accepted His protection and provision. It is what you hand over to someone that he personally takes responsibility for. Many believers don’t grow and see Christ’s mighty power in their lives because they have not fully handed over the ownership and control of their lives to Him. They are still in charge and they wonder why they do not walk in the authority of Christ Jesus. Jesus is either Lord of all or He is not Lord at all. He is too big to share the ownership of your life. Give Him your all and see the incomparable benefits. Prayer: Dear Lord, I ask that you come and take full control of every aspect of my life from this moment. Amen. -SD Abraham Yearly Bible Reading: Mark 5-6 n(In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational. Kindly Share This Devotional with your Friends & Contacts and Let’s Touch Lives Together. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. Old wineskins mustn’t always be thrown away but can be renewed and made supple or pliant again to hold new wine. To do this, they must undergo a reconditioning process that involves cleaning and soaking them in oil till they are rejuvenated. No one who can boast of having known all there is to know about God or His Word. The Bible talks about life in Christ Jesus as being unsearchable (Rom 11:33, Eph 3:8), meaning that it is always new, without any limits to its revealing power, to the end that as one grows continually in spirit, he receives more of this life. By receiving Christ Jesus, one becomes a new wineskin, capable of expanding, to receive and accommodate God’s new wine. Outside of this, it is impossible to do so, as the old sin nature makes man spiritually inelastic or worn out, requiring that he be made new (Jn 3:5-7). God’s desire is to fill us always with the newness of life, but our hearts need to remain pliable, without being too rigid or hardened by carnal or religious traditions that can limit or cause us to miss out on the Spirit’s outpouring. However, if we keep our lives clean by His Word and soak ourselves in His worship, then our lives’ capacity to receive His newness increases. Today, as you shun sin and continually yield to God’s word, you’re sure to experience a new spiritual infilling that leads to a robust and vibrant Christian life. -SD AbrahamYearly Bible Reading: Jeremiah 1-6 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational. THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE

Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. When Lazarus was resurrected by Jesus, he came forth with his grave clothes on, because, without it, he would be naked. After Jesus resurrected, the cloth used to wrap His body was still in the grave (John 20:5-7) because He did not need it anymore. He now had a glorified body that didn’t need a cloth to be clothed. Jesus’ disciples found it a little difficult to recognize Him because the body he resurrected with was different from the one he died with. He resurrected with the glorified body. This glorified body cannot be killed. It does not need doors to come into a building, but can be made to pass through a wall. These glorious bodies are what will reveal our true nature as sons of God (Rom 8:19). This body of flesh is greatly limiting us from walking in our sonship. The redemption of the body will usher us into the hope of our calling. This is when these vile bodies of ours will be changed into glorious bodies like the one Jesus has right now. This is when we will rule all things with the Lord (see 1 Cor 6:2-3) and be rewarded according to our work here on earth (Rom 2:6, 1 Cor :12-15). Jesus did not only die to save us from our sins, He resurrected to usher into our lives of the greatest power ever known in all of creation. This is the same power that will cause us to resurrect the way He did. Go into today remembering that anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus will not only resurrect with the glorious body but will have abundant life here on earth because Jesus is the resurrection and the Life. -SD Abraham Download AUDIO SERMONS here (New sermons)☞ http://bit.ly/SERmons Yearly Bible Reading: Job 25-26 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational. The first Easter Sunday Nkiru attended church service, the pastor took the time to teach about the consequences of what Jesus did on the cross. He explained that when Jesus said ‘it is finished’, it meant that as far as God’s agenda for humankind is concerned, God has won and the devil has lost. Nkiru understood that if she received the Lord Jesus, the work of the devil in her life would be finished and destroyed (1 John 3:8). She accepted the Lord Jesus that day and consequently became a disciple of Jesus. From the day she received the Holy Spirit, each time the demons that usually tormented her in her sleep tried to show up, she would remember the sacrifice of Jesus for her and become bold and powerful against them. She observed that remembering the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross rendered her oppressors powerless. After some time, they didn’t show up again. (These were ancestral demons that had tormented members of her family for decades). Nkiru understood that the sacrifice of Christ took away every legal ground demons had over her life. She knew that as long she abode in Christ by continually trusting in His finished work for her on the cross, and letting His word abide in her(John 15:7), she would always overcome her adversary (see Rev 12:11). The reason Jesus died on the cross was to shed His blood for the remission of our sins. His blood is the token of His sacrifice, and it is the reason we overcome the devil and his demons. Go into today basking in the finished work of Christ for you on the cross. Through the cross, Christ has spoiled principalities and powers and rendered them powerless in your life (Col 2:15). -SD Abraham Download AUDIO SERMONS here (New sermons)☞ http://bit.ly/SERmons Yearly Bible Reading: Psalms 36-38 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational. You will be mature and complete. You will be all that God wants you to be. While learning carpentry, John felt that his teacher who also was his father didn’t want him to succeed because while other pupils worked, his father asked him to just watch him. Years later when he was now a celebrated and accomplished craftsman, he realized that he was able to surpass his peers not because he had better skills but because by observing his father work through difficulties to eventually create masterpieces, he had also developed that same virtue that persisted where others gave up. There is something about being patient that endears one to God. Patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22) and if we desire to see God’s will for our lives fulfilled, we will surely need it (Heb 10:36). Jesus stressed this need in His parable (Lk 8:15) as a requirement for success because there will be many who feel that they are good soils having all the abilities, and will hastily rush into doing things but in the end fail at some point, due to them lacking this virtue. Waiting on God requires that we actively work on all our spiritual gifts over a period of time, to ensure that through them, we gain maturity and are able to withstand life’s trials. Go into today with all perseverance, growing and developing your spiritual gifts, as this will lead to you achieving success in life.-Chibo E.C Yearly Bible Reading: I Samuel 11-15 (In Devotional Audio) Streamglobe in non-denominational.
