Pillars In God’s Temple
Rev 3:12-13 (NET) The one who conquers I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never depart from it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God (the new Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven from my God), and my new name as well. 13 The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Unlike walls or furniture, pillars are very important and more permanent structural elements in any building. In heaven, the throne of God dwells within the temple of God (see Isiah 6:1). God rules the universe from there. David said by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit “…and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever ” (see Psa 23:6). When the Lord says He will make those who conquer to be pillars in the temple of God, He is saying overcomers will never be removed from the presence of God for all eternity. Saints are not just called to be people who will dwell closely with God for part of eternity, but we will dwell in the house of the Lord for all eternity. In heaven, being in the presence of God is a very, very great honor, and it means great authority. Angels brag about this (see Luke 1:19). We who overcome are going to be pillars in the temple of God. This means we are not just going to be part of God’s presence, but we are going to be important parts of God’s temple. I am talking about the God who is the creator and Sustainer of the universe; the God whose power and glory cannot be comprehended by the human mind. I don’t know what we ever did or could ever do to deserve this great honor and glory that God has destined for us; it is an unmerited favor. Go into today thanking the Father for the great love He has lavished upon you; that you should become a son of God (see 1 John 3:1). Confession: I am an overcomer in Jesus’ Name. I will inherit everything God has prepared for me in Jesus’ name. The Beast From the Sea
Revelation 13:1(ASV) And he stood upon the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns, and seven heads, and on his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy.Read Revelation 13:1-10 In this scripture, we witness the immense sway and dominion of the beast over the earth. The beast was granted the authority to wage war against the faithful. This battle against the saints takes on various forms, ranging from misleading them into false beliefs or outright renunciation of their faith to the physical persecution of Christians. It is through the influence of the beast that Satan brings harm to Christians. The crucial inquiry here isn’t about identifying the beast or pinpointing its arrival, but rather, will we yield to this beastly sway that vies for our loyalty? Dear friend, there is a beastly influence, invisible to the human eye, that has been released over our campuses, offices, the political sphere and even the church, too powerful for any human resistance. This beastly influence challenges the authority of God in our lives. How does the beast conquer the saints? Whenever a Christian denies Jesus in the face of persecution or abandons the faith due to pressure, he has given in to the beastly influence. This influence also encourages believers to live habitually in sin. The way you will overcome the power of the beast is ‘by the blood of the lamb and the word of your testimony’ (see Rev 12:11). The blood cleanses you from all sin; removing the leverage and license the beast would have had over you. The word of your testimony is the word of God that has become Rhema to you. These are God’s promises that have become your own [through revelation]. Go into today knowing that you have been given power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). If you remain in Christ Jesus, you are the overcomer. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving me. I ask that you help me always walk in your light and conquer the forces of darkness against me. Intimidation
Nehemiah 6:9 (HT) “For they were all trying to intimidate us, saying, “they will all become discouraged in the work, and it will never be finished.” But now, my God, Strengthen me.” One of the strategies the enemy employs to hinder what God is doing in your life is elaborately shown in Nehemiah’s experience, and that is intimidation. The devil tries to do everything possible to introduce fear into your life thus intimidating you out of God’s will and plan for your life. There’s only one way to deal with the enemy’s intimidation: know who you are in Christ and stand firm. Stand firm on God’s promises for your life. Practice living in faith and walking with God in your daily life. Stay in constant communion with the Holy Spirit, meditate on the word and focus on God. Surround yourself with men and women of faith. As long as you are in this world, the enemy will try to intimidate you and challenge your faith. There is a need to be steadfast in your faith as you plant your hope in heaven above. Learn to focus on God and not on your immediate surroundings. Search the scriptures and find ways to strengthen your faith and grow in faith. Never give in to fear, fear will make you wander out of divine covering, stand firm and trust God. Never forget that “The eternal God is thy dwelling-place, and underneath are the everlasting arms…” (Deuteronomy 33:27) The enemy can’t touch you when you are in His arms.—Otuokon, Ubokudom Join our group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get today’s Audio Here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3827 Bible In 1 Year: Psalms 111-113 (In today’s audio) Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.Listen to our edifying online radio here: https://streamglobe.radio https://listen.streamglobe.org/DevotionalAudio3827.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download ()Subscribe: RSS
The Church and the World
Revelation 3:14-15 (ESV) “To the angel of the church in Laodicea, write the following: ‘This is the solemn pronouncement of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the originator of God’s creation: I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot! In Laodicea, there was a stream whose source was not far from the city. This stream originated from a hot water spring, which gave the water a distinctive salty taste. It was best consumed either hot or cold. However, by the time the spring water reached Laodicea, it had cooled, becoming lukewarm. Drinking it lukewarm was unpleasant and could even induce vomiting. Regrettably, the church in Laodicea had taken on the characteristics of this water, having become lukewarm. Christians become lukewarm when they fellowship with the world and begin to gradually conform to the world. The atmosphere of the world is contrary to our faith. This means we must be careful not to conform to the world when we interact with the world. Many Christians have become worldly because their perspectives are shaped more by worldly things than by the Word of God. This happens when Christians continue to associate closely with the world. When a Christian becomes worldly, they lose their spiritual fervor and become lukewarm. Lukewarm Christians can hinder the advancement of the kingdom of Christ, offering a poor representation of Him on Earth. Today, let’s seek the Lord’s help in maintaining our fervor and relevance in His kingdom. Beware of conforming to the culture and patterns of this world. Let the words of Christ be the manual that dictates your culture and traditions. Prayer: Heavenly Father, please empower me to remain fervent for You and guard against becoming lukewarm. The Originator of God’s Creation
Rev 3:14-15 [NET] “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write the following: “This is the solemn pronouncement of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the originator of God’s creation. Kandra found it very difficult to believe that the man she met at the reception was the CEO of that big company she visited. He didn’t have any air of pride around him, was very polite and gave her directions when she asked for the HR department. Shola: I think you have met our CEO. I just saw you talking with him on my security video feed. Kandra: No way! That man I talked to was a receptionist. He told me how to get here. Shola: He is indeed our CEO. You see, on some Mondays like this, he leaves his office on the top floor and goes to any of the lower departments to work. He says this helps him to better understand all the units of production. Kandra became uncomfortable and even nervous. She still did not fully believe Shola until the next time she visited the company, and this time she saw the CEO in all his glory. It has been very hard for many to accept that Jesus is God come in the flesh because of the way He came and lived humbly among us. For many, when they realize this truth, it would be too late to accept the salvation, peace, and divine glory He came to restore to mankind. In today’s Bible text, we see the Lord introducing Himself as the originator of God’s creation. It is only through Him that you can fellowship with the Father and receive power to fulfill your glorious eternal destiny. Go into today thanking the Lord for coming to help you. Neither Hot Nor Cold
Rev 3:16-17 (NET) So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth! 17 Because you say, “I am rich and have acquired great wealth, and need nothing,” but do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. The church in Laodicea was lukewarm because they had become worldly. This worldliness manifested in their focus on material things rather than eternal things. You see, you can focus all your spiritual energy (use the power of grace and faith) on only earthly riches, when its real purpose was for eternal riches. Earthly riches are but an addendum. When a Christian focuses on physical wealth instead of the kingdom of God, chances are that he will get what he wants if he is well taught on how to apply all the [spiritual] principles. But such a Christian will be spiritually impoverished. His pitiful state will be obvious when real life begins in our eternal kingdom. The church in Laodicea boasted and thought they were doing fine because they had physical wealth, but they did not know that their true spiritual state was pitiful; they were wretched, poor, blind, and naked. It is not possible to serve God and mammon (see Matt 6:4). Unfortunately, many Christians have been overtaken by the love of money, and this has made them unfruitful in the kingdom. Go into today knowing that if your goal in life is no longer centered on advancing in the kingdom of God, you are now serving mammon. Those who serve God understand that life is a privilege to serve, please and know God in this realm and time; a realm that presents the opportunity to be conformed to God’s image and become His son for eternity (see John 1:12, Rom 8:19). They understand that even money is a means to this end, not the end in itself.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get today’s Audio Here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3824 Bible In 1 Year: Philemon (In today’s audio) Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.Listen to our edifying online radio here: https://streamglobe.radio https://listen.streamglobe.org/DevotionalAudio3824.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 9:12 — 3.3MB)Subscribe: RSS
BUY GOLD FROM ME
Rev 3:18 (NET)…take my advice and buy gold from me refined by fire so you can become rich! Buy from me white clothing so you can be clothed and your shameful nakedness will not be exposed, and buy eye salve to put on your eyes so you can see! Femi had believed in the Lord Jesus and was baptized in the Holy Spirit. He had also been properly taught and knew how to wield his spiritual power of faith. Unfortunately, all he really wanted out of life was more and more money, he didn’t care much about the kingdom of God. He just wanted to get more money in life. This was all he used his faith [spiritual power] to acquire. If a Christian spends his life serving mammon, he is buying what the devil has to offer. He may or may not be rich in this world, but he is poor in the kingdom of heaven because he has spent his life serving mammon at the expense of serving God. When a Christian spends his life serving God, he is buying what Jesus offers (see Rev 3:18). He may or may not be rich in this world, but he is rich in the kingdom of God because he has spent his life acquiring true riches that will last for all eternity. Do not forget that God knows the things you need even before you know you need them. The cattle on a thousand hills belong to Him (Ps 50:7). This means at any time, God has at least 1000 ways of providing for you [when you seek Him above all else]. When God makes you rich, He adds no sorrow to it. Go into today knowing that as a child of God, you have the purchasing power. You can either choose to spend your spiritual capital seeking mammon and earthly riches or spend it seeking the kingdom and eternal wealth of Christ.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get today’s Audio Here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3823 Bible In 1 Year: John 16-18 (In today’s audio) Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.Listen to our edifying online radio here: https://streamglobe.radio https://listen.streamglobe.org/DevotionalAudio3823.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download ()Subscribe: RSS
GOD’S DISCIPLINE 2
Revelation 3:19 (NET) All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent! Remi was a very sickly person. When she received the Lord Jesus and was baptized in the Holy Spirit, she was no longer sickly but became very healthy. A time came that she became overtaken by a dieting fad. She started to believe that her diet was all that mattered with regard to her good health. Because of this, her faith for health was now in her good diet and no more in the finished work of Christ. Because of this, she became very sickly again. After doing everything she knew, including prayers, Remi concluded that her depreciating health was God’s will. But she was very wrong. Good diet is good, and it is God’s will for His children to be careful with what they eat and how they live. But when Christians follow diets so much that they forget that it is ultimately the power of Christ that is responsible for keeping them in good health, they would walk out of God’s divine health and make themselves absolutely responsible for their health. This means when an affliction is spiritually orchestrated, they would be vulnerable. Many Christians go through situations that are a result of their spiritual ignorance, but many erroneously conclude that ‘it is the discipline of the Lord’ or ‘it is the will of the Lord’. Go into today knowing that when God disciplines His children, it is to bring out the best in them, not to destroy them.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get today’s Audio Here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3820 Bible In 1 Year: Amos 1-4 (In today’s audio) Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.Listen to our edifying online radio here: https://streamglobe.radio
GRACE AND RICHES
2 Corinthians 8:9 (NET) For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although he was rich, he became poor for your sakes, so that you by his poverty could become rich. In every human society, there is a level of respect that wealthy individuals command, which those who are not affluent may not receive. What many do not know is that it is also so in the spirit realm. Some individuals possess a depth of spiritual riches that grants them significant influence in the spiritual realm. These are people whose words are powerful in that realm (see Acts 19:15). The riches of Christ are true riches. The wealth of this world cannot compare to it. Anyone who has the riches of Christ is rich indeed. It means even on this earth, his riches in glory can speak for him. However, someone who possesses wealth only in this world may be spiritually destitute (see Rev 3:17). Even the least powerful demon can bring misery to their life and strip them of all they possess in just a few days. Even though Jesus was wealthy, for your sake, He chose poverty, so that through His own lack, He could bestow richness upon you. The wealth that the saints will inherit when the Lord returns is beyond comparison to anything we can imagine, and these riches will endure for all eternity. Those who will receive the riches that Christ brings are those who know His grace (see 2 Cor 8:9). The grace of the Lord is a spiritual substance that empowers people from the inner man ( see Phil 1:25, Gal 6:18). It diminishes the appetite for sin. It is the reason why a nonentity in life can become somebody. This very power can truly enrich your life. Go into today knowing that the secret to your spiritual and physical wealth is knowledge of Christ’s grace. This grace is infused into your spirit by the indwelling Holy Spirit. Pray for grace to multiply in your life starting today (see 2 Pet 1:2).—Abraham Damilola Arigi https://listen.streamglobe.org/DevotionalAudio3818.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 23:15 — 8.2MB)Subscribe: RSS
PROPHETS GIVE WITNESS
Acts 10:43 (KJV) To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. One of the reasons it took thousands of years after Adam before Jesus could be manifested was because the prophets who would prophesy concerning His coming and create the spiritual framework for His manifestation on the earth had to come first. John the Baptist was the last of them to come before Christ (see Mat 17:10-13). All the prophets from Enoch to John the Baptist bore witness to His coming, and they released words into the earth (from the heart of God) that would make it possible for Christ to be revealed. In preparation for Christ’s coming, the word of God had to be constantly released by the prophets for thousands of years. Jesus is the word made flesh. A prophecy is different from a prediction or word of knowledge. A prophetic word is creative, and the prophet usually speaks for the Lord when he prophesies. You may hear something like “Thus says the Lord…” and then the prophet begins to speak as if he is the Lord. A good example is “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more…” (Isaiah 43:25). That was Isaiah speaking for the Lord (prophesying). When a person tells you what you ate yesterday, or tells you your house address, that is a word of knowledge; a manifestation of a prophetic gift, but that is not a prophecy. A seer sees things and hears things, but a prophet receives inspiration and speaks for God. He releases words into territories upon which the manifestation of God’s agenda will ride. A prophet creates the spiritual frameworks for the physical manifestation of God’s will on the earth. Go into today understanding that the prophetic office is very important and needed in the body of Christ today. Prophecies have the creative power that is God’s word.—Abraham Damilola Arigi Join our group to start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio early every day:WhatsApp: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JnqvSRyY3I2Ce13V18ZrEoTelegram: https://t.me/streamglobe1 🔊Get today’s Audio Here☞ https://streamglobe.org/aud3818 Bible In 1 Year: Numbers 17-20 (In today’s audio) Kindly forward this devotional to your contacts and let’s bless lives together.Listen to our edifying online radio here: https://streamglobe.radio https://listen.streamglobe.org/DevotionalAudio3818.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 23:15 — 8.2MB)Subscribe: RSS
