Ephesians 4:7 (AMP) Yet grace was given to each of us individually in proportion to the measure of Christ’s gift.
Cordelia noticed that from when her son was a little boy, he would dream and accurately predict the future. She also noticed that he easily saw visions and discerned spirits at work in people. She later found out that he was a prophet by divine ordination.
The word grace in the New Testament could be interpreted to a number of meanings. One is God’s divine favor, and another is God’s divine influence upon the heart; this connotes the power of God at work within a person. Grace is therefore used in two broad contexts. Grace means God’s divine favor, and grace means God’s power at work in the hearts/lives of men.
Ephesians 4:7-11 tells us that grace (God’s power) has been given to each of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. And it goes on to explain some of Christ’s gifts. They are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and teachers.
If by divine ordination, you are any one of those mentioned above, you are a gift to the body of Christ.
Grace is given to individuals according to the measure of Christ’s gift. This means those with any of the above-mentioned ordinations have received special grace for it.
Go into today knowing that God will make adequate provisions for His assignment in your life.
Thank the Lord for His loving grace. He doesn’t send us without giving us the resources to do the work.
