Predestined for Good Works 2
Ephesians 2:10 (NET) For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them. After Clement received the Lord Jesus and was baptized in the Holy Ghost, as he continued to live in the spirit, he received the vision for his life and now started to live according to it. As he continued to walk with the Lord and grow, he discovered that even his shameful past was no longer a disadvantage, God fitted it into his plan such that Clement could serve God in peculiar ways that those circumstances of his past had equipped him for. One of the major works of the Holy Spirit in the heart of the believer is to give him a vision and purpose for living. We see in Acts 2:17 that when the Holy Spirit is poured out on all flesh, young men will see visions… The Holy Spirit crystallizes the vision of God concerning us in our hearts. As we begin to see God’s plan for us and understand how God has caused all things to work together for our good(see Romans 8:28), this understanding would help us live purposeful, disciplined, and guided lives. This is the natural out-working of living a vision-driven life. “But where there is no vision, people cast off restraint [and perish]”. See Proverbs 29:18. Even our Lord Jesus Christ was able to fulfill His purpose when he became flesh because He lived a vision, purpose-driven life. He is our perfect example. He endured the cross because of the vision of the joy that was set before Him (a vision of bringing many sons into glory through the power of His throne). Go into today reevaluating the vision of your life and how you’re living to fulfill it. Every Spirit-filled person should live a purpose-driven life. Prayer: Father, help me live a vision propelled, purpose-driven life. Deliver me from all spiritual blindness, in Jesus Name. Amen. —Abraham Damilola Arigi Bible in 1 Year: Luke 13-14 Streamglobe is Nondenominational. Kindly share this devotional with your contacts and let’s touch lives together. Predestined for Good Works

Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC) For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. It wasn’t until Clement accepted the Lord Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit that he knew his purpose for living, had a vision for life, and was now living a purpose-driven, purpose-filled life. Before this, he only lived for pleasure, and his life was empty and purposeless. In order to satisfy the emptiness of his soul and fulfill his insatiable hunger for pleasure, he was driven into drug addiction. But his mother never stopped praying for him, and his life was transformed when he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. One of the things the infilling of the Holy Spirit does to the well-taught believer is that it would give him a vision for his life. If you study the Bible properly on the topic of predestination, you would notice that this is usually a discussion reserved for the believer in Christ(see Ephesians 1:4-5, Romans 8:28-30). Most other applications would be contradictory to clear positions of scripture concerning the will of God(1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9, Ezekiel 33:11). God’s predestination does not apply to those who are not yet in His house, His only plan for the sinner is reconciliation and life. From God’s point of view, sinners are dead(Colossians 2:13, Ephesians 2:1, 1 John 3:14, Genesis 2:17). They are not alive, and no one makes plans for people who are dead. Only those recreated in Christ Jesus have the capacity to walk in God’s predefined plans [that are more eternal in expression than time-based]. We see in today’s Bible verse that we who are in Christ have been predestined unto good works. Everything that you would ever become has already been planned for and arranged by God. The more you align with God’s will, the more you will find that you’re walking in the fullness of His good plans for you. Go into remembering that everything about the good life God has for you in Christ Jesus has already been properly planned and fully paid for(2 Peter 1:3). All you need to do is receive it by faith with continual thanksgiving. Prayer: Father, help me walk in faith and thanksgiving. Deliver me from all my fears. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
