RUN TO WIN 2

So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. Because Temitayo wanted to win the trophy, she was willing to do whatever it took. It became impossible for her to hide this from people around her. Everyone knew she was an athlete because she was always doing something that showed she was preparing for the championship. It doesn’t take time for people who have to deal with real serious athletes to know that they are athletes. It is very difficult for them to hide this fact about them. It shows. In the same way, when a believer is really serious about his kingdom assignment and winning his prize, he cannot hide his identity as a believer for long. Any believer who has successfully been able to hide his identity from his coworkers for several months may have been able to do this because he is not really striving for the prize of the mark of the high calling in God. Daniel worked in a most godless environment, but it was impossible for him to hide who he really was. Moses tried, but he couldn’t either. When your kingdom assignment takes over you and becomes the most important thing in your life, you will find that you are a witness for Christ everywhere you go. The Holy Spirit would begin to give you insight into people’s lives just because he wants you to share the gospel with them. Go into today remembering that you are first and foremost a witness for Christ in every place He has planted you. Ask the Lord to help you to this end. Ask for the wisdom to be a soul winner. — Pst SD Abraham Yearly Bible: Deuteronomy 1-3 To start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio daily, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/FL6XDKnAzBLBZYBLd03hbh Streamglobe is interdenominational. RUN TO WIN
Get Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1799 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (KJV) Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. When Temitayo started preparing for the championship in tennis, she knew she now had to become temperate in her eating, sleeping, watching movies, etc. She was told by her instructor that she could no longer eat anything but had to only eat things that maximize energy output. Her life became greatly streamlined because of this championship. Temitayo made the sacrifices she made because she wanted to win the tennis championship. We are also in a championship, but this is for an infinitely more valuable incorruptible prize. The devil and his hoards of demons are our contenders. That can’t win the prize, but they want to hinder us. The only human beings that can overcome them are those who believe in the Lord Jesus (see 1 John 5:5). We must maintain a champion’s mindset of self-control. We must not let the flesh hinder us. We must always put the flesh under the will of our renewed minds. This is the only way to appropriate our victory over our contenders. Go into today remembering that the prize you have to win is the reward for faithfully doing the work cut out for you by God. This reward, among other things, will translate to your place of glory and authority in God’s eternal kingdom that would never end. Not everyone in the kingdom will receive a reward, some will suffer loss (1 Cor 3:15). Ask the Lord to help you run in such a way that you would receive your reward (1 Cor 9:24). — Pst SD Abraham Get our sermons here☞streamglobe.org/34 Yearly Bible: Hebrews 11-13 To start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio daily, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/FL6XDKnAzBLBZYBLd03hbh Streamglobe is interdenominational. GRACE AND TRUTH
Get Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1798 Psalm 51:16 (KJV)Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Luke was troubled because he knew he was not walking in the power of God like he needed to. He prayed all night almost every night, fasted often, and read his Bible ardently. But he realized that one of his brothers who didn’t do as much as he did had a more robust relationship with the Lord and walked more in God’s power and glory. Luke started asking the Lord why despite all his effort, he didn’t seem to see more of the Lord’s power and glory in his life as a minister. He knew something was wrong but he did not know what it was. As he kept on asking, the Lord revealed to him one morning that the reason was because he was not a person of integrity in his dealings with people. The Lord reminded him of how he would give his word and fail, make promises and forget, etc. He repented and things changed from that day. We all desire to walk in greater grace as children of God. Grace is the power of God that makes us live supernatural lives naturally. Jesus was full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Grace and truth go together. A dishonest man cannot walk in great grace. A man who makes his words fall to the ground (in not keeping his word) cannot walk in great grace. Go into today remembering that the tongue and the power thereof is very important in the appropriation of grace. Those whose lips are deceitful cannot use those same lips to command divine power. Prayer: ask the Lord to help you speak and live for Him. Ask Him to purify your tongue so that you can walk in higher grace (Read Isaiah 6:5-7). — Pst SD Abraham Get our sermons here☞streamglobe.org/34 Yearly Bible: Acts 5-6 To start getting Streamglobe Devotional Text & Audio daily, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/FL6XDKnAzBLBZYBLd03hbh Streamglobe is interdenominational. WHO SHALL DWELL IN GOD’S HOLY HILL?
Get Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1797 Psalms 15:1-2, 4 (KJV) LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. I have come across some very dishonest people whose every intention was to swindle money out of my hand. But that does not bother me like when I come in contact with Christians who have no regard for their word. They fail to keep their word and it doesn’t seem to matter to them. I used to be like that before. My words didn’t really matter much to me, but when I started studying the Bible, I realized that it was impossible for me to be conformed to the image of Christ and not be full of truth like Christ was. I realized that those who don’t work hard to keep their words among men will not have angels working hard to keep their word in the spirit realm. If you take a close look at today’s Bible verses, you will see that truthfulness is a criterion for those who would dwell in the highest levels of fellowship and power with God. A man who fears God will keep his word even when it is not convenient. Go into today examining yourself in the light of God’s Word today. Are you known as someone who keeps your word? Ask the Lord to forgive every way you may have failed to represent Him in this area. — Pst SD Abraham Want to be saved? YOU ARE HERE FOR A PURPOSE
Get Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1796 Psalms (KJV)“Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me.” How do I become what God has ordained me to be? Are you born again? If Yes, God has chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit (John 15:16), he wrote a volume concerning you. So, success is a measure of how much of the volume written concerning you have fulfilled. The volume written concerning you by God was written by the Holy Spirit, who now dwells in you. God gave you the Holy Spirit so he could lead you into all truth. Knowing purpose has been difficult because many only have the Holy Spirit in them but do not listen to Him. Jesus said in John 16:13 that, “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.” Your purpose is part of the “things to come” which the Holy Spirit will show to you if you ask Him. You see, to know and do the volume written concerning you, you must know and listen to the Holy Spirit. Please, read Proverbs 8:22-36 Go into today knowing that, the Holy Spirit is the greatest gift you have and can ever have. He will guide you into all truth, speak to you of Jesus and show you things to come. Dare to trust Him. —Dr. Emmanuel James Want to be saved? NOT UNDER THE LAW BUT NOT LAWLESS
Get Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1795 1 Corinthians 9:21 (NET) To those free from the law I became like one free from the law (though I am not free from God’s law but under the law of Christ) to gain those free from the law. When Ronke got to the university, she met some ‘brethren’ who taught that believers are not under the law therefore sin no longer exists for the believer. The result of this doctrine was that sexual immorality was rampant in that fellowship. Some members of the fellowship were cultists, and some of the ladies were call-girls. Ronke who was brought up in the way of righteousness now started despising her upbringing and believing that her parents were not knowledgeable in the ‘mysteries of the gospel’. She continued to say this until she had her 4th abortion and ruptured her womb. During this period, she almost died and was hospitalized for weeks. None of her fellowship sisters or brothers showed up at the hospital. The only person that kept coming was her roommate (who attended a fellowship Ronke despised because she said they were still under the law in that fellowship). This was when the scales fell off Ronke’s eyes. In an attempt to preach to believers that they are no more under the [old covenant] law, many have preached lawlessness and produced lukewarm half-baked believers who are potent tools in the hand of the enemy against the advancement of God’s kingdom because they are a bad example and are a major hindrance to many seekers of truth from finding the truth of the gospel. This is the reason why Jesus would have preferred for such lukewarm ‘believers’ to be cold (unbelievers). At least they would not be a stumbling block (Rev 3:15-16). Go into today remembering that even though you are not under the Old Testament law, you are not lawless but are under the law of Christ. —SD Abraham Want to be saved? YOU ARE WONDERFULLY MADE
Psalms 139:14 (KJV)“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Lucia failed all through her days as a student. She wrote all her major examinations at least thrice, her parent had written her off and had called her a failure; they even told her that she was mentally retarded. She suffered so much depression that she intended to take her own life. “God, I will read a portion of your word and pray my last prayer and just die, I am tired of living” were her final words. She, however, stumbled on today’s Bible text and for the first time in her life, found someone who called her wonderful—God Himself. By this encounter, Lucia received for the first time an understanding of her person. She ended up becoming very successful in life. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! Did you know this? Oh, how well do you know this truth? “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me” (Psalm 51:5) was King David’s experience until he discovered God’s reality for him, hence, he wrote Psalms 139:14. It was after this that his life changed and he became a man of recon. No wonder he spent his life praising God. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, you are marvelous. You are made by God to be full of wonders. It is how well you know this that will determine your wellbeing. How much of yourself have you discovered? You will silence every contention and reproach when you know who you really are in Christ. Go into today knowing that you are full of wonders and God who wrote your story is subordinate to none. Begin to praise Him for a job well done as you dish out these wonders one after the other.—Dr. Emmanuel James Yearly Bible: II Chronicles 16-20 To start getting Devotional Text & Audio on your WhatsApp, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/FL6XDKnAzBLBZYBLd03hbh Streamglobe is interdenominational. GOD WILL TURN THEIR HEARTS BACK
Get Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1793 1 Kings 18:37 (KJV)Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. From this text, we see that God is God, and what that means is that He rules the human heart, He has the power to turn the human heart to Himself. Is there anyone reading this devotional who was once dead in sins with no thirst for Christ at all, but now loves Him, seeks Him, delights in His fellowship and His service? God did that. Are there any hearts of stone in your family? God says “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove your stubborn hearts and give you obedient hearts.” (Eze. 36:26). Are there any stiff-necked disobedient hearts in your city or family with zero submission to God’s law, God says “I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” (Jer. 31:33). Are there any hearts in your family who have gone very far from God and would have nothing to do with Him? God says “And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.” (Jer. 24:7). Dear friend, Jesus said “There are other sheep which belong to me that are not in this sheep pen. I must bring them, too; they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock with one shepherd.” (John 10:16). Some of these sheep belong to the categories of people outlined above. Jesus wants them in the fold, you should have that same desire for such people. If God turns the heart, there is hope. If He turned your own heart back to Himself, then stand on His word and pray for the other sheep that are not yet in the fold, till He brings them in. God is God and He turns men back to Himself. —Otuokon, Ubokudom O. JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST
Get Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1792 Romans 14:17 (KJV) For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. The day Eniola got baptized in the Holy Ghost, he lost his mobile phone on his way to church. This was added to the fact that he had just lost his job and didn’t have money to buy another phone. He came to church that night heavy and depressed. But as the servant of God laid hands on him, the Holy Ghost filled him and he started speaking in tongues uncontrollably. No one could stop him–it was an overflow. The first thing he observed was that the heaviness in heart vanished. He was no more bothered about anything. The joy that filled his heart was like nothing he had ever experienced. All he now wanted was to spend time with the Lord and keep this new sweet presence of the Holy Ghost within him. He knew that with the Holy Ghost, all his problems were not an issue. As weeks passed, he observed that one thing that lasted with him was the peace and joy of the Holy Ghost, and the desire to now please the Lord in all things (righteousness). One of the signs that a person is filled with the Holy Ghost is joy in the Holy Ghost ( see Eph 5:18-20). The devil knows that if he can get you out of this joy for long, he would hinder you from walking in your spiritual strength because the joy of the Lord is your strength (Neh 8:10). Go into today remembering that in the kingdom of God, our joy is in the Holy Ghost and not based on other things. The devil will try to steal this joy. Don’t let him succeed. Remember he cannot change the way the Holy Ghost feels about you (Romans 8:31-39). —Dr. Emmanuel James Yearly Bible: Hebrews 8-10 Get free sermons here☞ streamglobe.org/34 To start getting Devotional Text & Audio on your WhatsApp, join our WhatsApp Group Here☞ https://chat.whatsapp.com/FruYnF1vddB8NfvNw0ZZCM Streamglobe is interdenominational. IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD
Get Today’s Audio☞ bit.ly/aud1791 John 8:31-32 (KJV)“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Pastor, it is true that after I believed in the Lord Jesus, I began to enjoy God’s peace, and the terrible nightmares stopped. But there are still so many things promised to believers in the Bible that I am not experiencing in my life, even when I have asked God for them. Pastor, what should I do? Often neglected in sermons is John 8:31, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed”, but without this verse, the popular John 8:32 cannot be experienced. Believing in Jesus is the initial step to finding the truth; however, there is the need to continued in His word. If you must know the truth, you must continue in Jesus’ word. And through the light of His word, the [Holy] Spirit [of Truth] will guide you into all truth (see Psalm 119:105, John 16:13). Jesus said, “if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Notice the use of the word “And” in verse 32 shows that it is a continuation of verse 31. Isaiah 40: 31 (KJV), “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary and they shall walk, and not faint.
